General Summary
The Creative Director is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic direction for multiple brands designed to support the company’s strategic objectives. The Creative Director will work in partnership with the brand managers and artists to achieve the long-term strategic goals for the future. This position requires a creative and passionate entrepreneur that operates in a customer centric environment resulting in the correct merchandising strategy that drives sustained growth season after season. Experience in creating catalog from concept to delivery. Able to interpret business requirements quickly and translate them into creative solutions. Experience working within tight deadlines while juggling multiple projects. Skilled at overseeing a small creative team and functioning as a hands-on designer.
Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)
- Conceive and implement concepts, guidelines and strategies in various creative projects and oversee them to completion in accordance with deadlines.
- Collaborate with executive team and brand managers to obtain knowledge of the business requirements
- Produce fresh, innovative work that distills abstract business concepts and client needs into refined, elegant creative solutions, compelling print materials and digital experiences for both retail and consumer audiences.
- Collaborate with other company employees to write and design unique and well-crafted copy
- Prioritize work and resources across engagements, based on short- and long-term needs, and develop schedules
- Act as point of print production for print collateral and showroom visual
- Coordinate photography along with team members that fulfills the requirements of all channels
- Manage revenue budget
- Review and approve art and copy developed by the team, ensuring that deliverables address marketing goals and challenges effectively.
Skills and Abilities
- Hand-on experience in creative process, marketing, graphic design and brand development
- Excellent working knowledge of software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc.
- Proven experience as a creative director or in a similar creative role ideally with Ten years of relevant experience, with five or more years as a creative director
- Experience in creating marketing/advertising campaigns – from developing the vision and messaging platform to overseeing production on time and within budget
- Experience in creating integrated content across all marketing channels: digital, social media, paid media, mobile, offline, visual and print
- Proven ability to develop successful concepts
- Strong creative vision, with an eye on business & financial objectives
- Have strong supervisory, people management, and leadership skills in order to lead and inspire, hire, develop, and oversee a creative team of diverse, talented creatives.
