What we are looking for:
The Art Director for Retouching will lead a team of Retouchers and CGI Artists ensuring the content is on brand, color accurate, and created with realism. The Photo retoucher manager is accountable for making content available for usage in all of our channels.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
LEADERSHIP
- Manages direct reports and VA’s performance, guidance, corrective behavior and day-to-day activities
- Manages scheduling, productivity and reporting of teams progress
- Ensures that the teams work is on point, accurate and meets the company quality standards
- Responsible for the teams overall success and productivity
CREATIVE CONTENT EXECUTION
- Expert Photoshop skills retouching soft goods and environments
- Develops a wide range of content using AI generation
- Strong understanding of soft good and scene creation
- Provides team guidance and direction in AI generation, CGI creation, color management and retouching
- Strong look development skills – Understands and achieves branding direction and nuancing of photography – lighting, styling, color, depth of field, realism, etc…
- Coordinates look of content with branding strategy
- Develop CGI and AI visual standards for lighting, composition
- Build CG library (models, materials, scenes) and create optimized strategies for CG asset reuse
- Refine the content production pipeline workflow and tools
- Strong understanding of lighting principles and color theory
- Drives accurate polygonal models that achieve branding direction
- Advanced Photoshop skills and understanding of Substance, Corona, Octane, Blender, Marvelous Designer, 3D Studio Max, Z-brush, V-Ray
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Effectively execute all necessary assigned tasks while under tight production deadlines
- Organizes and manages team productivity, schedules and priorities for the team
- Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
- Fiscally responsible decision making when using the Farm
- Edits and organizes all renderings, PSD’s, jpgs to maintain files and makes final content available for the organization
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Exudes positive energy and a flexible work-flow to adapt to changing priorities
- Decision making skills – handling multiple projects where priorities continually change
- Influences a high-productivity team environment
- High-level of engagement in the success of the team, the goals and productivity
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

- Microsoft Office, Adobe CC
- Experienced working in a concept through production environment
- Must speak English and have solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain good / trust-based relationships with management, peers and staff; has a pleasant and friendly demeanor
- Types 40+ WPM accurately
- Takes pride and accountability in work product
- Works quickly with accurate results and an eye for detail
- Ability to use automated information systems / dropbox / MS Office / Phone System
- Enjoys suggesting improvements to company processes and communication techniques
