Overview
The Impact Manager will support a wide variety of projects, including long form documentaries, digital shorts, marketing efforts, and will also create partnerships centered on the global river health. This role works to connect internal efforts to external nonprofits, sustainability and conservation organizations, and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s) to establish partnerships and come up with new project ideas. The Impact Manager will also be responsible for facilitating environmental sustainability and impact reporting. This role reports to the Head of Marketing.
Successful applicants will demonstrate expertise in the environmental sustainability field with a focus on rivers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Works alongside the Marketing Team & Head of Digital Programming on all aspects of environmental/sustainability related information as it relates to film production, marketing materials, and partnerships
- Develops, coordinates and maintains both short and long-term relationships with strategic partners who support our work
- Tracks environmental impact data as it relates to current projects
- Provides reporting on sustainability issues with both internal leadership team and BeAlive clients
- Partners with internal team on launches, press, marketing, and general programming needs by providing data and maintaining relationships with external collaborators
- Gives input (when needed) on marketing materials, press releases, festival strategy, etc. regarding impact reporting
- Provides data and reporting to other internal team members related to sustainability information needed to produce decks, films, or marketing materials
- Manages relationships with individuals and organizations that we partner with and/or feature
- Builds partnerships with non-profit organizations, academic institutions, NGOs and coalitions
- Will monitor, track and report all impact metric tracking and provide tangible insights
Qualifications
- 5-7 years’ experience in impact reporting or sustainability work is preferable
- An established credibility and a strong base of existing relationships across the environmental/sustainability/NGO community
- Proven ability to communicate effectively to all levels of management
- Proven ability to multitask and manage complex projects
- A self-starter with an entrepreneurial approach; assertive, enthusiastic and highly motivated, with ability to work autonomously with little direction
- Demonstrated knowledge of the sustainability space, bonus points for experience with river sustainability
