Production for Veronica Mars has officially started.
According to reports, the new limited series that will air on Hulu has started filming in Los Angeles, California.
Veronica Mars fans will get a chance to watch eight new episodes of the series set 5 years after the crowd-funded Veronica Mars movie, which premiered in theaters back in 2014.
The show stars Kristen Bell and ran for three seasons from 2004 to 2007 on UPN and then on The CW. In addition to the series and movie, there have also been two Veronica Mars novels. Both the original series and movie will be available on Hulu prior to the release of the new episodes.
“People are wondering what Veronica Mars is doing right now,” Bell recently told EW Radio. “There’s never been a lapse in the fanbase. When I allude to anything Veronica Mars online, people lose their marbles. And it’s so wonderful and cute to know that it means something to people still.”
According to OLV, the new series will be shot in Los Angeles, California. And according to a recent casting call, filming will take place at the Warner Bros. Studios lot.
