Job Purpose The production interpreter will ensure accurate, timely, and effective communication occurs between individuals who speak Spanish and individuals who speak English. This position will perform interpretation as needed within the organization while also preforming all job duties and functions as noted in the Assembler Job Description.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Build product and operate all equipment necessary in the assembly process. Interpret/translate prints, process sheets, training documents, and other documents related to production and/or company needs. Assist and interpret the training of procedures and quality standards for new assemblers, ensuring that they are properly trained. Will assist in the re-training of assemblers as needed. Training includes, but is not limited to the following:
Performing first piece inspections as well as quality checks accompanied by the required paperwork. Identifying parts and operating all equipment used in the assembly process. Identifying and properly tagging rejected parts Setting up equipment or machines and performing simple adjustments
Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality while interpreting for Supervisors and Human Resources in the administration of performance reviews, discipline, onboarding, etc. Demonstrate ability to work successfully in a team-based environment that heavily emphasizes quality, performance, cross-training, and accountability. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
