Job Description: Pixar Animation Studios is casting a voice-over role for an upcoming English-language animated feature. The character is Lena, a 17-year-old Romani musician who plays the violin as a street performer during the day and works as a dishwasher at night. Lena is whip-smart, resilient, and full of youthful spirit with a sharp, sarcastic sense of humor. She’s also tough, quick to protect herself from the prejudices she faces due to her background. We are looking for a talented actress to give life to Lena’s energy and complex personality.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide the voice for Lena, a vibrant teenage Romani violinist, in an animated feature.
- Convey a wide range of emotions, from Lena’s wit and sarcasm to her protective walls against prejudice.
- Voice a few lines in Romani (fluency not required, but familiarity with the language is helpful).

Papu Emil is an eccentric and cantankerous grandfather, passionate about family and music, especially in relation to his teenage granddaughter, Lena. Though he can be opinionated and direct, his actions are driven by his deep love and unwavering support for his granddaughter.
The role will require delivering a voice performance that conveys Emil’s lively, playful, and slightly grumpy personality, while also capturing his tenderness and dedication to his family.
Job Responsibilities:

- Bring to life a character who is in his 70s with a blend of confident, kind, and playful tones.
- Voice a few lines in Romani, with familiarity in the language being helpful but not mandatory.

We work very closely with both artists and engineers to build innovative filmmaking tools that enable our film production and continuously extend artistic reach. We are looking for a Developer Relations Manager in our Software R&D Department! You’ll be Pixar’s first point of contact for partner information management regarding Universal Scene Description (USD). You will promote standards and good development practices by actively engaging with partners and developer communities to build relationships and answer questions pertaining to our open source software and surrounding procedures. This position requires a blend of technical skills coupled with content development, presentation, and customer-facing skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate, evangelize, and drive USD adoption
- Partner with engineers and management to develop recommendations for the product roadmap and process improvement
- Help educate and support internal & external teams on relevant industry trends
- Take a data-driven approach in defining developer relations success metrics and prioritizing work so that progress can be clearly measured and communicated to stakeholders
- Provide project management with guidance on external project timeframes and priorities
- Work closely with a technical writer to identify opportunities of improvement for documentation, guidelines, and other policies
- Represent needs of external partners to internal engineering teams
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Know what it means to work in a cross-functional team structure and influencing across product areas/groups.
- Understand how product roadmaps are crafted and what drives them
- Familiarity with presenting to technical audiences and generating content for developers
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and make forward progress on multiple concurrent tasks
- Know-how of developing software at a technology company
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work hybrid work model (4 days a week on campus)
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
The hiring range for this position in Emeryville is $143,140.00 to $185,240.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
