San Francisco, California Casting Calls – Pharmaceutical commercial casting call for real families that enjoy skiiing and snowboarding.

Beau Bonneau casting is looking for San Francisco Bay Area families of 4 that are able to ski or snowboard to work on an upcoming Video and Print ad for a Pharmaceutical company. All talents must be available for a quick audition this Wednesday, November 19th in San Francisco.

Talents will be compensated $2,750 for the day of shoot plus $300 for travel and $60 per diem as well as being put up in a Lake Tahoe hotel the night previous to the shoot.

Commercial Casting Call

We are immediately seeking SF Bay Area Families of 4 that are ALL able to ski or snowboard. Parents should be 25-35ish and kids should be 3-8 years old. Again everyone should be able to ski or snowboard. This is for a non-union Pharmaceutical Video and Print ad.

All 4 must be avail for a quick audition (wearing ski clothes), this Wednesday, 11/19 in San Francisco as well for the shoot which will be Thursday 12/18 and will consist of skiing or snowboarding in the Lake Tahoe area. If your family is selected for the shoot, each adult will receive $2,750 for the day of shoot plus $300 for travel and $60 per diem as well as being put up in a Lake Tahoe hotel the night previous to the shoot. Each child will receive $1,650 plus $300 for travel and $60 per diem. You will be using your own ski equipment for the shoot.

CBS Cancels ‘The Millers’

‘The Millers’ is the latest series to get canceled by CBS.

Arrested Development’s Will Arnett will have to start looking for a new job. According to reports CBS has canceled ‘The Millers’.

The show will shoot one more episode before shutting down production but, CBS has not announced what will be replacing the TV series after the show is off the air.

The Millers

Season 2 of ‘The Millers’ was a major disappointment for CBS after the TV series was struggling in the ratings. It currently averages a 1.7 rating in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and 7.3 million viewers. ‘The Millers’ used to be CBS’s highest rated new series when it had a “Big Bang Theory” lead-in. Season 1 averaged a 2.6 rating with 10.9 million vierwers

‘The Millers’ features Will Arnett as a newly divorced reporter whose mother moves in with him when her own 43-year marriage to his father ends.

‘The Millers’ was created by Greg Garcia and features Beau Bridges, Margo Martindale, Sean Hayes, Jayma Mays, JB Smoove, Nelson Franklin and Lulu Wilson.

Fifty Shades of Grey – How it all started from fan-fiction and turned into a multi-million dollar movie.

Fifty Shades of Grey was developed from a Twilight fan fiction series originally titled Master of the Universe and was published on fan-fiction website under the pen name “Snowqueen’s Icedragon”. The original version of Fifty Shades of Grey featured characters named after Stephanie Meyer’s characters in Twilight, Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. The fan-fiction quickly gained a lot of attention due to the level of sexual material in the fan fiction series. James later removed the story from the fan-fiction websites and published it on her own website, FiftyShades.com. Later she rewrote Master of the Universe as an original piece, with the principal characters renamed Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele and removed it from her website before publication.

This reworked and extended version of Master of the Universe was split into three parts. The first, titled Fifty Shades of Grey, was released as an e-book and a print on demand paperback in May 2011 by The Writers’ Coffee Shop, a virtual publisher based in Australia. The second volume, Fifty Shades Darker, was released in September 2011; and the third, Fifty Shades Freed, followed in January 2012.

Fifty Shades of Grey – The controversy

Once, the book was released it stirred a lot of controversy and readers claimed that the book glorified abusive relationships. According to a 2013 study, every interaction between Ana and Christian was emotionally abusive in nature, including stalking, intimidation and isolation. In addition, Christian’s use of alcohol to convince Anaa to consent, exhibits classic signs of an abused women. According to a 2014 study, women who read the Fifty Shades of Grey books were more likely to show signs of an eating disorder, alcoholism and dating emotionally abusive partners. The authors could not conclude whether women already experiencing these problems were drawn to the series, or if the series influenced these behaviors to occur after reading.

Fifty Shades of Grey had a limited marketing budget when it was released but, ended up doing really well after word of mouth recommendations. On August 2012, Amazon announced that it had sold more copies of Fifty Shades of Grey than the entire Harry Potter Series combined, making E.L. James its best-selling author, surpassing J.K. Rowling.

Fifty Shades of Grey – The Movie

By 2012, several Hollywood movie studios were fighting to obtain the rights to the Fifty Shades trilogy. Warner Bros., Sony, Paramount and Universal, as well as Mark Wahlberg’s production company, put in bids for the film rights, with Universal Pictures and Focus Features eventually securing the rights to the trilogy in March 2012. The author, EL James wanted to retain creative control of the movie and James chose The Social Network producers Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti to make the feature film. According to Entertainment Weekly, the movie cost nearly $40 million to make. But, the biggest challenge for the Fifty Shades of Grey movie came down to the movie’s cast. Ian Somerhalder (The Vampire Diaries) expressed interest in the leading role but, later admitted that filming would have conflicted with The Vampire Diaries and had dropped out of the race for the lead role. Ryan Gosling was also offered the lead role in the movie but, the actor revealed he was not interested in the production.

Ultimately, EL James announced that Charlie Hunnam would lead the cast alongside Dakota Johnson.  Hunnam initially turned down the role of Christian but later reconsidered it following a meeting with studio heads. Hunnam said of the audition process: “I felt really intrigued and excited about it so I went and read the first book to get a clearer idea of who this character was, and I felt even more excited at the prospect of bringing him to life. We [Taylor-Johnson and I] kind of both suggested I do a reading with Dakota, who was her favorite, and as soon as we got in the room and I started reading with Dakota I knew that I definitely wanted to do it. There’s just like a tangible chemistry between us. It felt exciting and fun and weird and compelling.” 

In response to the negative fan reaction the casting received, producer Dana Brunetti said: “There is a lot that goes into casting that isn’t just looks. Talent, availability, their desire to do it, chemistry with other actor, etc. So if your favorite wasn’t cast, then it is most likely due to something on that list. Keep that in mind while hating and keep perspective.” On October 12, 2013, Universal Pictures announced that Hunnam had exited the film due to conflicts with the schedule of his FX series Sons of Anarchy. Finally, on October 23, 2013, Jamie Dornan was cast as Christian Grey.

Mama June Admits to Dating Another Sexual Offender

Mama June from Honey Boo Boo is either loves sexual offenders or just loves making bad decisions.

Things keep getting worse for “Mama June” and the Honey Boo Boo family. It all started about a month ago when photos surfaced of Mama June spending time with Mark McDaniel a convicted child molester who was recently released from prison after molesting Mama June’s daughter. TLC would later pull the reality show off the air.

Now, according to reports, June is admitting to being involved with another sex offender who she claims fathered daughters Jessica and Pumpkin. In an interview with ET, Mama June opened up about her relationship with McDaniel and the father of two of her children:

Jessica and Pumpkin have the same dad, but Jessica’s dad has had nothing to do with her over the years. So, why the hell would I open up that can of worms until today? I lied to my family and told them it was somebody else.

The father Mama June tried to hide and keep a secret is Michael Anthony Ford, a 37 year old convicted sex offender who was sent to prison for sexual exploitation after getting caught on an episode of NBC’s To Catch a Predator in 2005.

I was sitting right there with twelve other people. It was a conversation that she wanted her answers: what happened, why did he leave, you know, if he was her real father. He admitted to her, no. I had already told her that but, you know, she wanted to hear from both sides of the story.

According to TMZ, Mama June owes nearly $5,000 dollars to the woman who took care of June’s daughter after she was molested by June’s boyfriend. June’s mother, Sandra Hale, because the guardian of Anna/aka Chickadee in 2003, a year after mark McDaniel forced the eight year old to perform oral sex on him.

When the guardianship was created, June was required to pay her mom $100 a month in child support. But fast forward to 2009, when the Henry County D.A. filed criminal contempt charges against June, claiming she was way behind on her payments — $4,144.62 behind.

NBC New Show Allegiance Casting Call in NYC

New York City Casting Calls – NBC Allegiance Casting Call for extras to work on the new TV series.

NBC’s New TV series Allegiance is now filming in New York City and casting directors are seeking extras to work on the production.

According to Variety, the new NBC TV series Allegiance is about a young, idealistic CIA analyst (Gavin Stenhouse) specializing in Russian affairs who learns that his parents are former covert Russian spies that the Kremlin has re-enlisted to plan a terrorist operation inside the United States.

Allegiance  features Scott Cohen (“Necessary Roughness,” “Gilmore Girls”) and Hope Davis (“The Newsroom,” “In Treatment”) play the parents. The cast also includes Margarita Levieva, Morgan Spector, Annie Ilonzeh, Alexandra Peters and Kenneth Choi.

NBC has given a series order to “Allegiance,” a drama about a young, idealistic CIA analyst (Gavin Stenhouse) specializing in Russian affairs who learns that his parents are former covert Russian spies that the Kremlin has re-enlisted to plan a terrorist operation inside the United States.

Martin Scorsese’s Bleed for This Open Casting Call

Rhode Island Casting Calls – Martin Scorsese’s Bleed for This movie casting call for extras in Rhode Island.

Martin Scorsese’s next feature film, “Bleed for This” is ramping up production in Rhode Island.

Bleed for This centers around the local boxing champ Vinny Pazienza, “Vinny Paz” and how Paz recovered from a nearly fatal car crash, then went on to win three world boxing titles.

Ben Younger, who wrote and directed 2000’s Boiler Room and 2005’s Prime, will write and direct Bleed for This.

“You know, Miles Teller, the hottest actor in Hollywood, playing Vinnie Paz, the greatest comeback story in sports history, and Martin Scorsese’s name attached doesn’t hurt,” said the movie co-producer Chad Verdi, from Verdi Productions in East Greenwich.

Bleed for This will be executive produced by Martin Scorsese. The movie is produced by Verdi Productions and stars, Miles Teller, Aaron Eckhart, Kevin Rooney, Katey Sagal, and Ciaran Hinds.

Miles Teller, who stars in comedy That Awkward Moment and Divergent also stars in Whiplash, which won the top prize at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this month. His upcoming projects include comedy Two Night Stand. Aaron Eckhart most recently starred in I, Frankenstein and Olympus has Fallen. His upcoming projects include thriller Incarnate.

Verdi Productions said if anyone is turned away due to capacity “you will be guaranteed another extra spot in the film in the fight scene at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.”
