‘Let It Snow’ Movie Casting Call for Featured Roles

Mosser Casting is looking for actors, models, and talent to work on the new feature film, ‘Let it Snow’.

According to Deadline, Universal Studios is making a movie based on the short stories written by the author of ‘The Fault in Our Stars’, John Green.

‘Let it Snow’ centers around a Christmas Eve snowstorm that transforms one small town into a romantic have. And no one would think that a trip to the Waffle House through four feet of snow would lead to love with an old friend. Or that the way back to true love begins with a painfully early morning shift at Starbucks.

Mosser Casting is currently looking for dogs, and people to play Santa. Filming will start on Friday, December 19th. For more details, check out the casting call details below:

We are very excited to announce that we will be doing the Extras Casting on the feature film, “Let it Snow”!! There will be a ton of great opportunities to showcase our wonderful Pittsburgh talent and we are thrilled to be collaborating with all of you again.

Up first!
-Santas needed for filming next Friday, December 19th or Saturday, December 20th. Men of all ethnicities, ages 60+. Having a real Santa costume is a huge plus but not required! – Send a photo of yourself in costume if you are a real Santa. If not, please send a recent photo from the waist up.

-People with their dogs for filming next Saturday, December 20th. Dogs should be very good around people and other dogs. Well-behaved. No yappers, fighters or biters, please – Send a photo of you with your dog(s). The dog(s) should be dressed in a Christmas costume, if possible. Again, not a requirement.

Must be available all day for 12-14 hours. Calltimes can be in the very early morning so it’s best if people have cars to get to set as public transportation can be unreliable.

Divergent sequel, ‘Insurgent’ is now casting extras to play factionless members in Atlanta.

Casting directors for the Divergent sequel, ‘Insurgent‘, is looking for actors, models, and talent to play factionless members of society.

Factionless is a status in which a person is not welcome into any faction. This is described as being homeless and even worse than death itself because the factionless have to suffer. It is a common practice for Abnegation to give food to the factionless. It is not desired by any individual to ever be factionless. Some say they would rather die. The factionless are completely impoverished and live in the ruined section of Chicago.

‘Sons of Anarchy’ Actor Allegedly Killed his Ex-Girlfriend’s Bunny

A ‘Sons of Anarchy’ actor reportedly killed and ate his ex-girlfriend’s pet bunny.

According to his website, actor Dimitri Diatchenko, who has appeared in episodes of Walker, Texas Ranger, How I Met Your Mother, and Sons of Anarchy, describes himself as having a “powerful presence both on screen and off.”

But, the actor forgot the part where he killed, skinned, cooked and ate his ex-girlfriend’s pet bunny in his actor’s bio.

Prosecutors said that Dimitri Diatchenko, 46, killed, skinned, and cooked the pet of his former girlfriend. He then ate half of it while texting her step-by-step pictures of the act.

When the woman returned to the home they shared, Diatchenko allegedly told her he would kill and eat her, just like he did the rabbit.

The former couple has been living together after their romantic relationship ended. Diatchenko allegedly killed the pet after the woman told him they should no longer be roommates, prosecutors said in a release. (Via)

The actor has been charged with one felony count of cruelty to an animal and criminal threats, and “Faces up to four years and eight months in jail if convicted.”

Sons of Anarchy has a history of casting some of the violent off screen actors. ‘Sons of Anarchy’ actor, Johnny Lewis killed elderly landlady, dismembered her cat before plummeting off a roof to his death.

Maybe he was a method actor and getting into character?

Movie Studios Struggling to Get Younger People to Go to the Movies

Younger people are not going to the movies anymore.

Nielsen Study shows that younger consumers are going to the movies at lot less. According to a new report, Hollywood studio executives are struggling to reach younger audiences.

From The Hollywood Reporter:

Nielsen reported in a report released Thursday that “digitals,” or those between the ages of 12 and 24, saw an average of 7.1 movies in 2014, compared to 8.4 movies in 2013. Those stats mirror what the Motion Pictures Association of America reported earlier this year in its annual 2013 theatrical report.

Those between the ages of 25 and 44 went to more movies than any age group, or 8.1 times, up from 7.7 in 2013. There was a decline in the 45 to 74 age group, who went to the movies 6.7 times in 2013, down from 7.2 times last year.

The report points out that younger audiences are streaming movies and TV shows instead of visiting the theaters. In addition, younger audiences are watching at least two feature-films a day but, they are not going to the movies to do it.

“For marketers looking to connect with these young, digitally savvy moviegoers, it’s key to use online sources to build urgency to see the movie at a theater,” said Kathy Benjamin, SVP of client solutions at Nielsen Content.

“Social is especially important because, for digitals, seeing a movie is a means to a ‘social’. They may not know what kind of movies they want from Hollywood, but there’s one thing they definitely don’t want: to be left out of the conversation.

The book focuses on high-schooler Quentin Coldwater, who is surprised when he’s admitted to an exclusive college to study magic in upstate New York. After graduation, Quentin and his friends move to NYC, where they find that the magical world is actually real.

‘Scandal’ Actor, Columbus Short Reveals Cocaine Abuse Caused Breakdown

Former Scandal supporting actor Columbus Short revealed that his bad behavior was the reason why Shonda Rhimes kicked his character off the show.

“I was struggling with drugs,” Short told Access Hollywood on Wednesday. Short revealed that his bad behavior included domestic abuse claims from his now ex-wife Tuere Short. “I had a lot on my plate, and you know, I was using unhealthy ways to kind of self-medicate and deal with a lot of heavy duty stuff in my life.”

Columbus Short was one of Scandal’s original stars and he played Gladiator Harrison Wright on Kerry Washington’s political thriller. He exited the series in April following his arrest in March for allegedly knocking a man out during a fight at a Los Angeles restaurant. Short is currently facing four years in prison if convicted.

In addition, Columbus Short was hit with a restraining order by his former wife after she claimed he threatened to kill her during a fight. She later filed for divorce is and is seeking custody of their 2-year-old daughter. On February 14, he was also charged with misdemeanor spousal battery, and on March 5, a judge ordered him to keep away from his wife.

“I was doing cocaine and drinking a lot, and trying to balance a 16-hour work schedule a day, and a family, and I just lost myself back then.”

Columbus Short revealed that his fellow co-stars knew about his substance abuse and they did what they could to help him. “They protected me, and they held me down,” he said. “And that was one of the real reasons — they just wanted me to get my stuff together. Sometimes the bottom has to be dropped out for you to really get it. So I moved to Atlanta. I’ve been living there for the last five months, five-and-a-half months, and it’s just been great. It’s been life changing.”

Columbus Short said that his friend’s death, actor Lee Thompson Young (Rizzoli & Isles) caused him to go into a depression. “I was going through a lot, going through a lot in my marriage, I had a lot of loss, tragic loss, so it’s tough,” he said. “Last year, one of my best friends died, he killed himself, Lee Thompson Young, and that kind of started a spiral. I found out when I was on set, and it really just, it took my legs out from under me.”

Harrison was killed off in the season four premiere and Short said he’s ready to go back to work. “I’m really ready to get back to work,” he said. “As far as Shonda’s shows, I would love nothing more to go back to Scandal. It’s my family.”
