Grant Wilfley Casting is now casting kid football players for the new Showtime TV pilot, Billions in New York City.

According to Deadline, Billions, is written and executive produced by Brian Koppelman and David Levien and Andrew Ross Sorkin, Billions is a fictional drama that takes a forensic look at the world of high finance by tracking the approaching collision between two titanic figures – the hard charging, whip-smart U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Giamatti), and the brilliant, ambitious hedge fund king, Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Lewis).

Producers are looking for 10 to 12 year old male football players for kids’ football game set for January 23rd.

According to Variety, the new NBC TV series Allegiance is about a young, idealistic CIA analyst (Gavin Stenhouse) specializing in Russian affairs who learns that his parents are former covert Russian spies that the Kremlin has re-enlisted to plan a terrorist operation inside the United States.

NBC’s ‘Allegiance’ is now casting talented teen actors to work on a scene filming between, January 15th through February 10th.

Hollywood Sign Removed? Neighborhood Sick of Tourists

A group of people are protesting and would like for the Hollywood sign to be removed and taken down to stop tourists from coming.

The community of Los Angeles’ Beachwood Canyon are fighting to get rid of tourists trying to visit the Hollywood sign.

According to reports, the community of Los Angeles’ Beachwood Canyon are fighting to stop public urinating tourists from parking in front of their homes, and driveways.

From The Hollywood Reporter:

“It’s a disaster waiting to happen,” says VFX supervisor Jeffrey Kleiser (RoboCop) of the reality of living a few hundred feet below Los Angeles’ famed Hollywood sign. His midcentury A-frame house, once owned by folk-rock band The Association — of the 1967 hit “Never My Love” — is the residence physically closest to the city’s most enduring icon. So he often deals with Darwin Award nominees who trespass the sign. “It’s late at night, they fall down, knock on your door and go, ‘I’m bleeding. Can I use your phone?’ It’s more drama than you want when you’re leading a peaceful life.”

Far more worrisome for Kleiser and his neighbors in parched Beachwood Canyon these days, though, are visitors who smoke. “If someone dropped a lit cigarette in the bushes, with all of these cars lined up, there’s no way a fire truck could get in to do its business.”

The sign was first built in 1923 and originally read “HOLLYWOODLAND”. Its purpose was to advertise the name of a new housing development in the hills above the Hollywood district of Chinatown.

The sign was officially dedicated in 1923. It was intended only to last a year and a half, but after the rise of the American cinema in Los Angeles during the Golden Age of Hollywood, the sign became an internationally recognized symbol, and was left there.

At this rate of complaints, expect the Hollywood sign to be taken down permanently or moved elsewhere just like the state’s film industry.

USA Network Cancels ‘Covert Affairs’ After Five Seasons

USA Network is pulling the plug on ‘Covert Affairs’.

After five seasons, the NBCUniversal series has decided to cancel the spy drama starring Piper Perabo and Christopher Gorham, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

From the Hollywood Reporter:

Sources tell THR that the renewal came down to a business decision, with the show’s live-plus-same-day ratings ultimately being the deciding factor. In its heyday, Covert Affairs — produced by NBCUni’s cable-focused Universal Cable Productions —regularly averaged 5 million total viewers in live-plus-same-day returns. Its recent fifth season hit a series low of 1.1 million viewers in November, leading up to an average of about 1.5 million and not enough to justify a second run despite the network’s ownership stake in the show.

Covert Affairs centers around a young CIA trainee, Annie Walker who is sent to work in the Domestic Protection Division (DPD) as a field agent. August “Auggie” Anderson, a blind tech operative, is Annie’s guide in her new life. In the beginning, Annie’s cover story is that she works in Acquisitions at the Smithsonian Museum but she is later let go. As of the fourth season, her new cover is that of a glamorous and well-connected importer/exporter, with expensive tastes and dealings that may not always be legal.

The first season of Covert Affairs was met with favorable reviews, receiving a Metacritic score of 64 out of 100, based on 23 reviews. The second season received a score of 69, based on six reviews. But, over time the series had lower and lower ratings and poorer reviews.

Netflix’s ‘Marco Polo’ Has Been Renewed for Season 2

Netflix’s new TV series ‘Marco Polo’ has been renewed for a second season.

The TV series, which was originally developed for Starz, will return for another 10 episodes and production is set to start this year.

Marco Polo centers around Marco Polo’s early years in the court of Kublai Khan, the Khagan of the Mongolian Empire and the founder of the Yuan dynasty, which would last from 1271-1368. The series was written and created by John Fusco and stars Lorenzo Richelmy as Marco Polo.

Marco Polo has been met with mixed to negative reviews from critics. On Rotten Tomatoes the show holds a rating of 27%, based on 26 reviews, with an average rating of 4.6/10. The site’s critical consensus reads, “An all-around disappointment, Marco Polo is less entertaining than a round of the game that shares its name.” On Metacritic, the show has a score of 48 out of 100 based on 21 reviews by critics, indicating “mixed reviews.

‘Alvin and the Chipmunks 4’ Now Hiring Crew in Atlanta

Producers are now hiring crew members to work on the upcoming feature film, Alvin and the Chipmunks 4. 

Fox 2000 Pictures and Regency Enterprises announced a fourth installment, titled Alvin and the Chipmunks 4, scheduled to be released on December 11, 2015.

While plot details have not been released, the title, Alvin and the Chipmunks: Road Chip sounds like the band is going on tour.

The Hollywood Reporter announced the director, Walt Becker known for Van Wilder: Party Liaison, Wild Hogs, and the Disney film with John Travolta and Robin Williams, Old Dogs, has signed on to direct the fourth film. He’ll pair with screenwriters Adam Sztykiel (Due Date) and Randi Mayem Singer (Mrs. Doubtfire) for the live-action/GG hybrid film.

The first film released in 2009 Alvin and the Chipmunks earned $361 million worldwide. The second earned even more, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel banked $443 million. And while the last movie didn’t do quite as well during its 2011 release it still earned $342 million worldwide.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: Road Chip is now ramping up production in Atlanta, Georgia and according to the Georgia Help Wanted Hotline, producers now accepting resumes for all departments to work on the upcoming feature film.

Fox’s ‘Sleepy Hollow’ is now casting new talent in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Sleepy Hollow centers around Ichabod Crane after awakes from the throes of death 250 years in the future where he must solve a mystery dating back to the founding fathers. Ichabod realizes that he must act quickly, for the headless horseman is only the first of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Detective Abbie Mills, a woman familiar with supernatural experiences, forms a bond with Crane as they try to stop an increasingly vicious cycle of evil.

HBO’s ‘Girls’ renewed for a fifth season.

HBO’s programming president Michael Lombardo announced today that HBO’s Girls is returning for a fifth season.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, days before the fourth season premieres, HBO is officially renewing Girls for a fifth season.

HBO programming presidentMichael Lombardo made the announcement Monday night at the show’s season-four premiere event and screening at the Museum of Natural History in New York.

The news comes as little surprise as the comedy created by and starring Lena Dunham remains a cornerstone of the premium cable network’s original scripted programming and a staple of cultural dialogue. The series was renewed for its upcoming fourth season just days ahead of its season three bow this time last year.

Girls is an award winning TV series and has won two Golden Globes in 2013, for best series and the leading actress Lena Dunham. The show didn’t have amazing ratings like Game of Thrones, but hundreds of people love to watch the show on DVR.

Girls was created by and starring Lena Dunham, Girls is a comedy-drama following a close group of twenty-somethings living in New York City. The show’s premise and major aspects of the main character were inspired by some of 28-year-old Dunham’s real-life experiences.

That Facebook Copyright Status Message Means Absolutely Nothing

2015 is finally here and all of your friends are sharing that fake legal quote that supposedly prevents Facebook from using their “copyrighted content.”

This copyright means exactly the same thing that it did in 2012, 2013, and 2014: absolutely nothing.

If you’ve been on Facebook in the last 24 to 48 hours, you have probably seen this, or one of the detailed variations, in someone’s Facebook status:

In response to the new Facebook guidelines I hereby declare that my copyright is attached to all of my personal details, illustrations, comics, paintings, crafts, professional photos and videos, etc. (as a result of the Berner Convention).

For commercial use of the above my written consent is needed at all times!

(Anyone reading this can copy this text and paste it on their Facebook Wall. This will place them under protection of copyright laws.)

By the present communiqué, I notify Facebook that it is strictly forbidden to disclose, copy, distribute, disseminate, or take any other action against me on the basis of this profile and/or its contents. The aforementioned prohibited actions also apply to employees, students, agents and/or any staff under Facebook’s direction or control. When you upload your content, you grant us a license to use and display that content.”

“Open capital entity” is not… a real thing; Facebook having publicly traded stock doesn’t affect its copyright or privacy guidelines; and, as we’ve said, you are already, explicitly, allowing the use of your intellectual property under a specific set of agreed-upon guidelines.

Do not copy and paste it. What you should do is read Facebook’s Terms of Service, Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities and their “Help Center” which explains exactly what they plan to do with all of your photos and information.

Remember: At the end of the day if you are not paying for a product, you ARE the product.
