People are not too happy about Mark Wahlberg’s Boston Marathon Bombing Movie

Mark Wahlberg is desperately trying to give the Boston Marathon Bombing the Hollywood treatment, but many people are not too happy. It would seem that the citizens of Boston think they are not ready for a movie adaptation of the attacks:

“How does someone who markets himself as `a Boston guy’ not see that it is far too soon, that the city is still far too sad for its trauma to be transformed into mass entertainment?,” asks Brandeis journalism professor Eileen McNamara. (via)

According to The AV Club, There’s at least four or five other Boston projects centering around the Boston Marathon Bombing including a movie called ‘Boston Strong’ and a TV miniseries.

Charlotte Wilder over at Boston.com says that this was inevitable, but the timing might be off. We’re still facing the attackers in court and the folks in the area can probably still clearly remember the manhunt that went very public in the days following the attack.

People may like Mark Wahlberg a little bit more if the decides to pull out on this Boston Marathon tribute movie.

Channing Tatum Says ‘Magic Mike’ Musical is Coming Soon

Channing Tatum says the ‘Magic Mike’ musical is still happening.

The booty shaking’ stage adaptation of ‘Magic Mike’ is still in the works. According to Entertainment Weekly, the 2012 smash hit starring Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, and Matthew McConaughey will apparently still have a stage version ready.

“It is still in the works,” Tatum admits. “We’re getting it going. Oddly enough, the second one lends itself more to the musical. I think our original idea was to do a prequel, like how Mike got in.”

The Broadway version of ‘Magic Mike’ will be written by Tatum, director Steven Soderbergh, and Reid Carolin. I’m sure this adaptation will have more a plot than the movie, or it will be a bunch of bodybuilders dancing for money!

‘Furious 7’ Background Extras Lies About Being “Only Female Stunt Driver”

With the recent success of ‘Furious 7’ and the entire ‘Fast and Furious’ series, it’s no surprise that so many big names in Hollywood have wanted to be part of this massive franchise.

However, in a recent report on Jalopnik, one woman was so desperate for attention that she lied to everyone saying she had a major role on ‘Furious 7’ even though she was only a background extra.

Sulinh Lafontaine is a self-proclaimed actress, stunt driver and producer, and has publicly stated throughout the promotion of ‘Furious 7’ she was the only female stunt driver in the movie. Sounds really great right? Well, there’s one problem with Lafontaine’s claim, it’s a lie.

Where did the lies begin?

Lafontaine was at the premiere of ‘Furious 7’ and was interviewed by a blogger. The interview was then posted on CNN’s iReport and titled “Furious 7 World Premiere with the only female stunt car driver Sulinh Lafontaine.” Of course the report gained a lot of attention. The stunt community soon noticed the article and were outraged at what she was saying.

What cars did you drive?

I drove both hero cars as well as nondescript cars, Bugatti, McLaren, Dodge Charger, and a few others.

What was the most difficult stunt you did as a stunt car driver on Furious 7?

The rally. Avoiding collisions at that speed on the track.

How fast were you driving?

Speed varies depending on the scenes. My top speed on this set was 140mph.What was it like being the only female stunt car driver?

Female stunt drivers are far and few in between. It’s hard to break into the stunt industry, even harder if you are a female. But to be the only female stunt driver on a set of this magnitude was absolutely mind blowing! I feel very honored. And blessed.

Now this might sound impressive, but reporters have actually interviewed the ‘Furious 7’ supervising stunt coordinator, Joel Kramer, and it was quickly apparent that Lafontaine was lying. Kramer confirmed that multi-car scenes the cars would be traveling 25-50 mph maximum, and speeds beyond could kill someone. Lafontaine’s claimed speed of 140mph are just lies.

Claims by Lafontaine to have driven the Bugatti car, plus two others that featured in a scene set in Abu Dhabi were deemed laughable by Kramer who simply thought her ability to split herself into three separate drivers at once was impressive.

It get’s worse…

Lafontaine lies went even further when she photoshopped herself into the poster for ‘Furious 7’ and renaming it ‘Furious 7.5’

Lafontaine went on to disrespect Paul Walker by claiming to know how his death had affected the crew:

Did you the feel the overshadow of Paul Walker while filming?

Absolutely. Fast and Furious storylines have always been about the dynamic between Paul Walker and Vin Diesel. Without Paul to wrap up the filming was extremely tough on everyone. The mood was very somber. But the job had to be done. The film had to be complete. It definitely was not an easy task. I think they gave a terrific tribute to Paul at the end of the film. I was completely teary-eyed at the premiere.

So, was she even in the movie?

While it has become apparent that Lafontaine was not involved in the stunt driving scenes. Joel Kramer believes she may have been part of a crowd of 1,500 extras. This would explain how she was able to take a picture and post it on to her Flickr photostream.

After she was an extra in the film, perhaps she thought she could lie in order to boost her acting career.

Ryan Reynolds was hit by a car in Vancouver.

According to reports, Ryan Reynolds was the victim of a hit-and-run in Vancouver on Sunday. The actor’s publicist tells the AP that he was struck by the paparazzi who was driving a car through an underground parking garage.

“The [driver] fled the scene,” publicist Leslie Sloane told the news outlet. “Ryan is okay.”

Ryan Reynolds was in Vancouver to film ‘Deadpool’. His wife was in Los Angeles promoting her upcoming feature film.

Sony Hack: Channing Tatum Has the Same Email Address

Channing Tatum didn’t change his email after the Sony Hack.

Last December Amy Pascal’s personal emails were leaked as part of the Sony hack, and several private email addresses were made public. However, according to the Hollywood Reporter, both Chris Pratt and Channing Tatum were included among the many celebrities whose personal emails were leaked by last year’s Sony hack.

But four months later, neither Tatum nor fellow hacking victim Chris Pratt has changed his address, a source who emails them both tells THR.

Yup, neither has changed their email addresses. Others have, but not these two. It makes sense for Chris Pratt since he’s a Guardian of the Galaxy and he can fight off potential stalkers. However, what is Channing Tatum’s defense? I guess he can use the dance moves he learned in ‘Magic Mike XXL’ to distract potential hackers?

If you search the Internet you should still be able to send your fan mail to Channing Tatum but, I warn you his dance moves may be too much for you to handle!

James Franco’s ‘In Dubious Battle’ Wraps Production in Atlanta

James Franco’s ‘In Dubious Battle’ finishes filming in Atalnta, Georgia.

Tammy Smith Casting took to Facebook today and announced that it is a wrap on James Franco’s new feature film, ‘In Dubious Battle’. The extras casting director has been working hard searching for background extras to work on the feature film and it looks like all of her hard work has paid off. The casting director writes: “It was no doubt, a tough shoot, with a lot to do, in a short period of time, on muddy, dusty, physically challenging sets with far away locations. You all were such troopers about it and I know there were rough patches with food and crafty, and then the weather added a fun challenge just to make it extra muddy and a hot mess out there at times.”

I really want to express how much we appreciate every single one of you that worked on this project, especially the farm workers (all of you really, but there were people who worked most or many of the 17 day shoot as core and regulars).
It was no doubt, a tough shoot, with a lot to do, in a short period of time, on muddy, dusty, physically challenging sets with far away locations. You all were such troopers about it and I know there were rough patches with food and crafty, and then the weather added a fun challenge just to make it extra muddy and a hot mess out there at times.
I know Mr. Franco and all of the other stellar actors involved with this “passion project” were a plus to be around, and so many of you had opportunities to really engage and act in the scenes and bring the story to life, as the story was ABOUT the farm workers on the apple orchards. I received nothing but compliments all around, about all of you… from the ADs, the producers, the director…EVERYone commented on how great you all were. I want to thank you, as does Claire, from the bottom of our hearts for being there for us on this one and embracing the project for what it was. Your professionalism and great attitudes really spoke volumes.

Thank you and you should all be very proud.

‘In Dubious Battle’ featured Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Selena Gomez, and Ed Harris and Danny McBride (Eastbound and Down) and centered around a labour conflict between migrant apple pickers and the local growers’ association in which Jim Nolan (Franco) becomes involved in the labour movement and rapidly matures as he learns what it means to do organisational fieldwork.

We posted several casting calls for ‘In Dubious Battle’ throughout March and April. It will be sad to see the amazing cast and crew say goodbye to Atlanta but, that only means there will be even more productions coming soon.

‘Game of Thrones’ Season 5 Episodes Leaked Online

‘Game of Thrones’ Season 5 episodes have leaked online before the first episode even airs.

According to reports, illegal downloads of unaired episodes have reached 500,000 in less than 12 hours.

From Variety:

The first four episodes of “Game of Thrones” season five cropped up on on piracy networks late Saturday — nearly a full day before HBO’s scheduled April 12 premiere of the popular fantasy series.

The episodes appeared on torrent sites sometime between 9 and 10 p.m. ET Saturday. Through 7 a.m. Sunday, the leaked “Game of Thrones” eps had been downloaded by more than 550,000 individual clients worldwide, according to piracy-tracking firm Excipio — and by 9 a.m., the figure was up to 778,985. The pirated “GoT” episodes are legitimate copies, Excipio said; the source of the leak is unclear at this point but some outlets have speculated that it came from a press screener.

“Sadly, it seems the leaked four episodes of the upcoming season of Game of Thrones originated from within a group approved by HBO to receive them,” said HBO in a statement. “We’re actively assessing how this breach occurred.”

‘Game of Thrones’ has been extremely popular on piracy networks in the last couple of years. ‘Game of Thrones’ was the most pirated show of 2014, with more than 48 million episodes downloaded by pirates. It is not hard to believe either, ‘Game of Thrones’ has won numerous awards and nominations, including a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Drama Series for its first four seasons, a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Television Series – Drama, a Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation in both Long Form and Short Form, and aPeabody Award. Among the ensemble cast, Peter Dinklage has won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for his performance as Tyrion Lannister. And fans love the show. All seasons were listed on several yearly “best of” lists published by  Washington Post , TIME and The Hollywood Reporter. Seasons 2 through 5 obtained a Metacritic rating of 90 or more, which the website rates “universal acclaim”. In 2013, the Writers Guild of America placed Game of Thrones in the fortieth place on the list of the 101 best-written TV series.

If you wanted to watch the first episodes of ‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 all you have to do is talk to your “friend” who illegal downloads TV shows and movies and asks for a copy.

Here’s the ‘SNL’ Rape Sketch that Left Fans “Offended” and Twitter Abuzz

Teachers have been having sexual relationships with their students for years now and it seems like it is happening nearly every week now. Saturday Night Live decided to discuss this issue in last night in a sketch and not too many people were happy about it.

In a sketch about student Pete Davidson being attracted to his teacher played by Cecily Strong, you can watch below, people took Twitter upset about the skit.

“I’m actually offended by this “hot for teacher” skit on #SNL …sends the wrong message about sexual abuse. Not cool. Not funny,” one twitter user said.

“That HLN student-teacher sketch on SNL was gross and unnecessary. #DoBetter,” another user commented.

“Just what we need, a sketch about a student having an affair with a teacher and everyone congratulating him as if he should be lauded.. #SNL,” @StarryMag commented

The list of upset viewers goes on and on…

‘The Walking Dead’ Cast And Crew Hint At What’s Coming In Season 6

There’s about 180 days until ‘The Walking Dead’ returns to AMC for its sixth season. The video below shows the cast and crew teasing what’s to come in the new season. While it looks like the majority of the cast are just guessing what’s in store, Scott Gimple does shed some light on the eight-episode story renewal pattern the show has run by in the last few years.

The potential conflict between Morgan and Rick will most definitely be a factor in a next season’s storyline. Greg Nicotero also sheds some light on the impending doom the wolves will cause the gang in Alexandria.

If anything, Norman Reedus is probably right in saying season six will be total chaos. Please more action less drama.
