One of the five main best friends, Naomi is a successful business woman who prides herself on having both a great career and relationship with her college sweetheart, Tristan Georges. Once their relationship goes south, she is left trying to figure out how to pick up her life without him and not let her situations dictate her emotions. Although she is very emotional, she’s the best support system for her friends, and tends to be overly protective of them.
Simone Campbell (Lead): Female, Mid-20s, Black
The closest of the friends to Naomi, Simone is an up-and-coming writer who is currently growing in her Christian faith, and the known peacemaker within her group of friends. Attempting to balance this new shift in her life, she is struggling to find the place where the new changes in her life and the old habits that die-hard are able to meet and live amicably amongst one another.
Tonya Roberts (Lead): Female, Mid-20s, Curvy, Black
Tonya is the voluptuously built out of the five friends. Although she is known as the “mom” of the crew because of being boggled down with responsibility majority of her life, she still likes to kick back and have fun from time to time. While she is an advocate of the curvy woman, she struggles with much insecurity due to being the “big one” out of the group, that no one is aware of – including her younger sister and roommate, Tiffany.
Tiffany Roberts (Lead): Female Early 20s, Attractive, Black
The youngest of the clan, the rest of the gang better knows Tiffany as “Baby T.” A sometimes college student, but full-time party girl, Tiffany is still trying to find her way and deal with the pressures of having a strong and successful older sister like Tonya. As like many young women, Tiffany’s thoughts are skewed when it comes to men and feels like almost every one she meets is “the one.” If you’re looking for the hopeless romantic with expensive taste, she’s who you’re looking for.
Patrice Bryant (Lead): Female, Mid-20s, Attractive, Black
Patrice is the loud, conceited friend that we all wish we weren’t friends with. Needing to be the center of attention at all times, her overzealous personality and self-proclaimed “constructive realness” towards anyone she meets is used to make up for her feelings of inadequacy in other areas. The comic relief of the group, Patrice is the one that you would hate if you could, but because of her loving personality, you couldn’t even if you tried.

SYNOPSIS
GRAVITY IS ONLY A SUGGESTION is a mock-umentary film with elements of street drama, comedy and magical realism, set in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It features a parallel narrative structure with a mix of quirky and oddball interviews from the past, mixed with a more traditional narrative structure in the present.
GRAVITY IS ONLY A SUGGESTION reveals the mystery of Octavius Walker, 39, a former high school All American basketball prodigy who was once considered the number one player in the country and a “can’t miss” pro prospect until after some personal and athletic problems, quits basketball and ultimately disappears never to be heard from again.
That is, until nearly 20 years later when troubled Olympic boxing team reject, Damien Jacobs, 21, is about to be shot by a group of young thugs. A strange and bizarrely dressed man walks into this harsh ghetto neighborhood and to the shock of everyone around begins levitating in an empty lot, the shock of which literally saves Damien from his attackers. A crowd forms and people from different walks of life come to observe “the man who can float on air.” He doesn’t talk. He doesn’t eat. He doesn’t sleep. He smiles calmly, but coyly. Scientists bring equipment and try to determine scientific reasons for his strange abilities, while a range of people from psychics, ministers, and atheists each try to speculate how this “mystery man” is able to do this impossible thing.
The controversy virtually suffocates the community, when a person from the neighborhood recognizes that the mystery man is not at all mysterious, he is, in fact, the legendary basketball superstar, who disappeared so many years ago. This realization shakes the community to its core as through interviews with the people who knew him, a group of individuals with ideas every bit as strange and quirky as Octavius’ peculiar talent, we quickly start to understand the “real story” as to why Octavius quit basketball to walk away from literal millions.
What happened during those nearly18 years that gave him this incredible ability? A set of interviews unravels the story of a young man who developed a near mythic level of physical and mental prowess; a man who embarked upon a spiritual quest to understand the true limits of what his mind and body can achieve, and ultimately, an interview with Amos LaGrange, the retired janitor, who despite barely having graduated from college, read hundreds of books about every topic imaginable, and who became Octavius’ teacher and spiritual mentor.
And finally, we learn the reason for Octavius’ unexpected return and how it relates to the danger Damian is facing in his life…

Intensity Films to Hold Open Casting Call for 2015 Movies in Charlotte, North Carolina
CHARLOTTE – Intensity Films is launching a city-wide search to find actors for an upcoming feature film project. The project, based on a bestselling novel Hustlin’ Backwards by local author Mike Sanders, is set to begin filming in mid to late May.
The Charlotte casting call will take place Saturday, May 9 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Dupp & Swat Creative Agency, located at 2424 N. Davidson St, Suite 112-B. Auditionees are asked to arrive at least fifteen minutes before the start of the casting call. Casting call applications will be provided on-site.

Bruce Jenner sued for wrongful death in car crash.
It has been a crazy year for Bruce Jenner.
Bruce Jenner has just been hit with a wrongful death lawsuit by the stepchildren of Kime Howe, the woman who died in a February car crash involving the 65-year-old former ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star.
Howe, a 69-year-old woman from Calabasas, Calif., was killed in a multi-car accident during which authorities said Jenner was driving north on Pacific Coast Highway in a Cadillac Escalade and rear-ended her Lexus sedan. The Lexus then veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with a black Hummer. Jenner was uninjured following the crash.
In the suit, filed by Dana Redmond and William Howe, the stepchildren claim Jenner was “careless, negligent, and reckless.” “The death of Kimberly Howe caused plaintiffs “to suffer enormous damages and losses,” the suit also reads. They are seeking unspecified damages.
Bruce Jenner has not been charged with any crime. He reportedly cooperated with authorities following the accident, passing a field sobriety test and volunteering to submit a blood sample for drug and alcohol testing.

YouTube Star, Cassandra Bankson Finds Out She Has Two Vaginas
Cassandra Bankson, is a YouTube star. Her make-up tutorial videos have helped millions cover up severe acne with ease. And now she’s helping the world learn something even more important. Bankson just discovered she has two vaginas and she’s letting the entire world know.
In a segment for Bancroft TV, Bankson visited a doctor to discuss her condition, which has caused her to have not only two vaginas but two uteruses and two cervixes as well.
“Most vaginas are one large cavity but this is a complete separation into two different cavities. I was shocked and the doctor explained to me that it was like an upside nose,” she told Bancroft TV. “I didn’t really know what to make of it – I was just in shock but I don’t really let it get in the way of my life. It certainly helped explain a lot of things.”
Bankson’s goal is to educate the world about “uterus didelphys,” which occurs in approximately one out of every 3,000 women, making condition uncommon but not entirely rare.
Some of the things that the diagnosis has explained are Bankson’s severe menstrual cramps and the fact that she has up to two periods a month. She’s also hoping that her condition can explain the fact that she’s endured severe acne all of her life. But she’s not too concerned with the fact that two vaginas will change her whole existence.

Netflix announces Dr. Seuss ‘Green Eggs and Ham’ animated series coming soon to Netflix.
Netflix is planning on creating an animated TV show out of Dr. Seuss’s famous ‘Green Eggs and Ham’ book. According to reports, Netflix is planning on creating a 13 episode first season.
The show will follow inventor Guy and friend Sam-I-Am as they travel on a voyage across the country that “tests the limits of their friendship.” If the source material is anything to go by, we’ll get to watch Sam-I-Am attempt to force-feed his friend spoiled food in various locations, while we learn how to work with rudimentary rhyming schemes. More plot details are yet to be revealed but — spoiler alert — Netflix says that the characters will eventually eat the eponymous Green Eggs and Ham. [via]

According to reports, Ride Along director, Will Packer, will executive produce the series alongside the original ‘Roots’ star LeVar Burton. The series will air in 2016.
The first ‘Roots’ series received unprecedented ratings for the finale, which still holds a record as the third highest rated episode for any type of television series, and the second most watched overall series finale in U.S. television history. The planned new eight hour miniseries, with Mark Wolper as executive producer, will draw on Haley’s novel and the original miniseries albeit from a contemporary perspective.

Spike Lee’s new movie ‘Chiraq’ is holding an open casting call in Chicago, Illinois.
Spike Lee will make his next feature-length film for Amazon Studios, according to reports. Titled ‘Chiraq’ (as in Chicago + Iraq = Chiraq), the movie could reportedly have Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Piven, Kanye West, and Common climbing aboard. Plot details are under wraps at the moment, but given its title, the movie might tackle the Windy City’s recent uptick in gun violence. However, ‘Da Sweet Blood of Jesus’ had nothing to do with Jesus.
Spike Lee’s new movie ‘Chiraq’ has drawn a lot of controversy. Mayor Rahm Emanuel has already expressed his own concerns to Lee about the film. “We had an honest, frank conversation,” Emanuel said, according to the Chicago Tribune. “He said that while the movie is about the neighborhood of Englewood, I was clear that I was not happy about the title.”

Lee and Amazon Studios are hoping to collect a $3 million tax break for the ‘Chiraq’.
“Lee has every right to make the movie without availing himself of the tax credit, in which case he can call it whatever he wants to call it,” said Burns. “But if you’re asking for the state and public to subsidize your movie, I think we should have a seat at the table.”

Extras casting director, Rose Locke took to Facebook earlier this week to announce that she will no longer be casting movies and TV shows in Atlanta. The casting director reported that she will be taking time off and will not be the extras casting director for Tom Cruise’s new movie ‘MENA’.

In less than 24 hours, producers behind Tom Cruise’s new feature film, ‘Mena’ picked a new casting director to cast background actors for the upcoming feature film. Central Casting Atlanta, a new extras casting company in the state of Georgia, will be hiring extras to work on Tom Cruise’s new movie. The wildly popular casting company in New York in Los Angeles is making it’s way to Atlanta, Georgia. Central Casting was established in 1925 and the company focused solely on casting extras.
This will be Central Casting’s first feature film in Atlanta, Georgia and it illustrates how quickly Georgia’s film industry is growing. We will keep you updated on all casting calls for the upcoming ‘Mena’ feature film as soon as it becomes available.
