Tom Cruise is the true definition of a Hollywood movie star.

October 10, 2006  it was declared “Tom Cruise Day” in Japan; the Japan Memorial Day Association said that he was awarded with a special day because he has made more trips to Japan than any other Hollywood star. Since 1986 and the release of Tom Cruise’s ‘Top Gun’, Tom Cruise has never had a single box office flop.

Of course, he has had several box office disappointments and some movies made less than studios have hoped. But, for the past 30 years, Tom Cruise has never had a bad movie.

Tom Cruise has been nominated for three Academy Awards and has won three Golden Globe Awards. Starting his career at the young age of 19 in the movie ‘Endless Love’. Cruise would later be featured in ‘Taps,’ ‘The Outsiders,’ and his first leading role in the romantic comedy ‘Risky Business’ in 1983.

But, the movie that launched his movie career was ‘Top Gun’ in 1986. Since 1996, Tom Cruise transformed himself into Ethan Hawke in the ‘Mission Impossible’ franchise, whose latest feature film, ‘Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation’ just hit theaters.

But, in the last past thirty years Tom Cruise has become one of the most successful movie star in Hollywood. Do you think it’s a joke? Since, ‘Top Gun’ in 1986 every movie has never flopped in the box office.

In the 1980’s, Tom Cruise starred in ‘The Color of Money,’ ‘Cocktail,’ ‘Rain Man,’ and ‘Born on the Fourth of July’. Then in the 1990s, he starred in a number of hit films, including the romantic comedy ‘Far and Away,’ the drama ‘A Few Good Men,’ ‘The Firm’, the romantic horror film ‘Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles’, the romantic comedy-drama sports film ‘Jerry Maguire,’ the thriller ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ and the hit drama ‘Magnolia’.

In the 2000s, Tom Cruise starred in a number of several successful films, including the sci-fi thrillers ‘Vanilla Sky’ and ‘Minority Report’.

Tom Cruise would later become a ninja in ‘The Last Samurai’, an assassin in ‘Collateral’, and a soldier in the ‘Edge of Tomorrow’.

Year after year, Tom Cruise has made movie studios millions of dollars and unlike several other A-list actors, he is the only actor to successfully entertain moviegoers generation after generation.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson calls out Hulk Hogan for saying the N-word in a racist rant.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson will go down in history as an entertainment industry chameleon. Starting off as a college football player, he turned himself into a professional wrestler, and now one of Hollywood’s biggest celebrity actors.

Recently, The Rock was asked to address the recent controversy surrounding Hulk Hogan during the ‘Ballers‘ panel at the TCA on Thursday, something that seemed to leave the former WWE superstar a little hurt according to Deadline. Johnson said he was “disappointed” with what Hulk Hogan was reportedly heard saying on the leaked portions of tape and talked a little bit about the personal effect Hulk Hogan had on his life.

“I’ve known Terry for years. My dad help trained him in Florida in the 1970s, and even my uncle. I come from a long line of professional wrestlers. I didn’t know him (Terry) to be a racist. It’s one of those things where it’s not definite in terms of what he said. We’ve all talked trash. He said what he said and he’s paying the price.”

It’s really hard to gauge feelings from a press conference, but you know there is a history between the two professional wrestlers inside out and outside of the ring.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson also talked about his upcoming documentary project, ‘Rock in a Hard Place’. It’s a passion project for the actor, reflecting on the troubles he experienced at a young age in Hawaii, the events that changed the course of his life, and how he used that in his career.  The project also focuses on the stories from a boot camp in Dade County, Florida that is also a correctional facility:

It’s a project that Johnson considers “near and dear to my heart.” The action star mentioned it was “a blessing in disguise” when his family was evicted and forced to move out of the state of Hawaii. Johnson was heading done the wrong path and “I’m lucky I didn’t wind up in prison,” recalled Johnson.

There’s no release date for the project yet, but you can also expect a trailer in the next few months.

Sean Malone, the actor from the hit movie ‘The Fighter’ died today after drowning.

Sean Malone is best known for his roles in ‘The Fighter’ and ‘Gone Baby Gone’ died on Wednesday in Boston after being in a coma for nine days following a drowning accident. He was only 54.

According to reports, the actor went out too far while swimming at a South Boston beach, according to the Boston Fire Dept.

Off-duty firefighters and passerby raced to rescue the actor on July 20, but Malone was already underwater by the time they reached him. The firefighters brought Malone to shore and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he remained in critical condition.

“Sean Malone succumbed to his injuries this evening surrounded by his son Sean, parents and siblings at Boston Medical Center,” the Boston Fire Dept. tweeted on Wednesday.

Recently, Sean Malone worked alongside John Travolta in the film ‘The Forger’.

‘Mission Impossible 6’ will start filming next summer after a short hiatus.

‘Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation’ hits theaters this weekend. In the new ‘Mission Impossible’ movie, IMF agency comes under threat after an organization of assassins and rogue operatives. Ethan Hunt assembles his team for their final and most difficult mission —to prove the Syndicate’s existence and bring the organization down by any means necessary.

While, ‘Mission Impossible 5’ is still not in theaters, producers are already planning a ‘Mission Impossible 6’ and filming is expected to start next summer.

Typically there is a 3 to 4 year break before the next ‘Mission Impossible’ movie but, now reports are suggesting that film executives want to start right away on the next ‘Mission Impossible’ production.

Tom Cruise went on The Daily Show yesterday in the US, and chatted to Jon Stewart about the plans for a further film. “We’re starting to work on it now,” he confirmed, adding “we’ll probably start shooting it next summer.”

Certainly, the reviews thus far have been generally very positive, and the suggestion is that there’s life in the series yet.

‘Married with Children’ Spinoff is coming soon with the original cast.

‘Married with Children’ aired for 11 seasons. The fictional dysfunctional Chicago family entertained millions in the late 80s to the late 90s. As Fox’s first prime-time TV series, ‘Married with Children’ helped boost the network in the same category as the Big Three TV networks.

After 262 episodes, America watched Al Bundy, a former high school football player turned unlucky woman’s shoe salesman, haggle with his obnoxious wife Peggy, his clueless daughter Kelly, and his wise-cracking sun, Bud.

Well, get ready after a 18 year hiatus a ‘Married with Children’ reunion is coming soon. According to E! News, ‘Modern Family’s David Faustino, who played Bud on the series, says he’s developing a “spin-off” of the series.

“Sony has it. They’re excited about it,” Faustino told me last night at the premiere of his former co-star Christina Applegate‘s new comedy Vacation (in theaters tomorrow, July 29). “They’re working out some legal issues that we hope they work out.”

“The whole cast, including Christina, is down to do little bits in it,” Faustino said, adding, “The idea would be a pilot for a spinoff. That’s all I can say right now. It involves me and few other people.”

Asked what she thinks her character would be up to these day, Applegate said. “Kelly Bundy probably has like 10 kids. I’m sure of it.”
