Modeling agencies in the UK are big trouble for gauging their models.

Police officers organized a raid at modeling agencies representing some of the world’s biggest models including Kate Moss and Yasmin Le Bon over claims that the modeling agencies are working together as a secret cartel to drive up modeling fees, according to reports.

Officials raided the offices of Storm Model Management, Premier Model Management and Models 1, seizing computer hard drives and files of printed documents.

Bosses at the modeling agencies have been questioned by investigators at the Competition and Markets authority in the UK. Reports suggest that the modeling agencies have been working together to fix the prices they charge to big brands and retailers for models.

The companies under investigation including Britain’s best known agencies and the investigation has affected everyone in the modeling agency calling it as a “scandal”.

Storm Model Management launched the careers of Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne and Models 1 represents Erin O’ Connor and Yasmin Le Bon. Premier claims credit for finding and building some of the world’s biggest models including Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer and Cindy Crawford.

The talent agencies can earn thousands of dollars in fees for a single photo shoot with a top model. Canadian Linda Evangelista, who was once signed with Premier, reportedly claimed that she wouldn’t get out of bed for less than $10,000 a gig.

‘It’s no longer about high-end glossy magazine shoots and the retailers believe they should be paying less. The agencies insist that they charge high prices because they’re selling quality.

‘It’s a market and they set their own prices and, while there may be industry standards, the allegation is that the agencies are meeting as a cartel to agree prices.

‘They bitterly resent the retailers trying to force down their prices and are convinced one or more big retailers lodged a complaint with the CMA.’

The investigation began at the end of March, with raids on the agencies’ London offices and has continued in the past few months with ‘information gathering, including issuance of formal or informal information requests and parties’ responses’, according to the CMA website

The investigation will determine if the modeling agencies violated the Competition Act 1988 or Article 101 of theFunctioning of the European Union. If the modeling agencies are found guilty, they could face fines up to ten percent of their total earnings.

NBC is developing a legal soap opera called “Miranda’s Rights”.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the drama is described as a legal soap that centers on a 28-year-old Miranda Coale, who six years after a sex scandal upended her life, gets a shot at redemption when she’s hired by a group of millennials living and lawyering together in a start-up law firm.

NBC plans to create a legal soap opera that is similar to ABC’s ‘Grey’s Anatomy’.

The series will be written by Katie Love Joy (The Selection) and executive produced by Eagle Eye’s John Glenn.

A deleted scene from the hit NBC series has gone viral years after it was posted on YouTube.

In the viral video, Chandler and Monica (portrayed by Matthew Perry and Courteney Cox) are on the way to their honeymoon when they hit a snag with the TSA after Chandler jokes about a bomb.

The scene was banned and pulled from the episode that aired two weeks after the September 11 attacks.

‘Friends’ ended its run over 11 years ago but the show lives on several other TV networks. The stars have gone on to work onother TV shows and movies.

” ‘Friends’ is about that time in your life when your friends are your family,” she told EW. “Once you start having a family, that changes. And you have new groups. It’s not that you don’t love those people anymore, but it changes. But to put them back together now when it’s no longer that time of their lives, there’s no reason for the show. That’s all the show was about — that time and those relationships.”

‘Straight Outta Compton’ is playing in theaters everywhere except Compton.

According to CBS Los Angeles, “Straight Outta Compton” is not playing in Compton because apparently, Compton doesn’t have a single movie theater.

‘Straight Outta Compton’ leads the box office after making over $50 million. The movie depicts the late 1980s rise of gangsta rap group N.W.A.

“It’s a low income area, it’s been heavily dis-invested in,” USC professor of sociology Manuel Pastor said. “When you live in a community that doesn’t have that kind of retail, it’s a sign that the community is devalued and people within the community feel devalued.”

Compton may not stay theater-free for long. Developers in Los Angeles are talking about bringing an entertainment district to the city which woud include 16-screen movie theater. In addition, Dr. Dre, who co-produced the movie, said he plans to donate royalties from his album “Compton” to create a new arts and entertainment center for children in Los Angeles, California.

‘Zorro’ reboot movie is coming soon.

According to reports, a new ‘Zorro’ movie is in development in Hollywood.

A new deal between Lantica Media and Sobini Films have revived the ‘Zorro’ reboot movie.

Filming is expected to start filming March 2016 in Pinewood Dominican Republic Studios. The movie will be produced by Sobini CEO Mark Amin (Good Kill, Frida).

According to THR, Zorro Reborn is a post-apocalyptic take on the myth of Zorro, the pulp hero created in 1919. The traditional stories cast Zorro as a hero of peasants and farmers who fought against corrupt and brutal officials of Spanish-held California. Reborn is set in the near future but keeps the idea of a masked and caped stranger taking on tyrants.

Producers are currently casting actors and interviewing directors to make this movie happen.

Zorro is the secret identity of Don Diego de la Vega, a fictional character created in 1919 by New York–based pulp writer Johnston McCulley. He is a Californio nobleman of Spaniard and Native Californian descent, living in Los Angeles during the era of Spanish rule. The character has been featured in numerous books, films, television series, and other media.

The character has undergone changes through the years, but the typical image of him is a dashing black-clad masked outlaw who defends the commoners and indigenous peoples of the land against tyrannical officials and other villains. Not only is he too cunning and foxlike for the bumbling authorities to catch, but he also delights in publicly humiliating them.

The last Zorro movie appeared 10 years ago and featured Antonio Banderas. The film did reasonably well at the box office, grossing $142 million internationally.

SyFy has cancelled ‘Haven,’ cancelling the show days before the premiere of the second half of Season 5.

‘Haven’ features Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant, Nicholas Campbell and Eric Balfour. Developed by Sam Ernst and Jim Dunn, ‘Haven’ is based on the Stephen King novel ‘The Colorado Kid.’

‘Haven’ centers around characters who struggle to help townspeople with supernatural afflictions and prote ct the town from the effects of those afflictions.

Haven premiered to mixed reviews from critics, with its first season attaining a metascore of 53 (out of 100) according to review aggregator Metacritic. The Miami Herald‍ ’​s Glenn Garvin found it “quite successful” as a “narrative of eccentric, slightly damaged yet ultimately warm characters”, while USA Today‍ ’​s Robert Bianco called it a “ludicrously see-through supernatural crime drama that wastes a perfectly fine performance from Emily Rose”.

Is the new ABC drama, ‘The Catch’ in trouble?

The creator and co-showrunners of ABC’s new series ‘The Catch’ are quitting the show after reported creative differences with ABC and Shondaland.

According to reports, Jennifer Schuur, who created ‘The Catch,’ and JOsh Reims, who was to serve as executive producer and co-showrunner alongside, Schuur, quit the ABC drama. Sources close to Variety have said producers are considering “Scandal” alum Allan Heinberg to take over.

But, it begs the question- is the new show in trouble?

The Catch is an upcoming American thriller TV series that set to air on ABC. It is about Alice Vaughan (Mireille Enos), a fraud investigator who is poised to be the victim of a fraud by her fiancé. Between cases, she’s determined to find him before it ruins her career. The series was created by Jennifer Schuur and executive produces Shondaland’s Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers.
