Is there an Ashley Madison TV series coming soon?

AshleyMadison.com is probably more famous than Facebook nowadays.

While, it’s not really good news for all of the people who use the website to have an affair, it has been good news for TV executives and writers interested in banking off the controversial website.

According to a report by THR, OutEast Entertainment is currently working on an Ashley Madison TV series. The show will be produced by Steven Marrs and Courtney Hzlett and it is currently titled Thank You Ashley Madison. 

The TV series centers around a woman who creates the business in order to support her family.

“There are a lot of TV shows doing a great job of presenting marriage storylines in new ways, but what we’re positing here is, what if there is a third lane to run in and what if you were honest about it?” Hazlett asks, adding that the hack will likely be explored in some form. “What if you didn’t need a hack to have this conversation? Maybe this is where your life just is, and no shows on television are offering that.”

Marblemedia’s co-CEO Matt Hornburg said the following about the series: “We are in the early stages of developing a scripted series inspired by the site which, given the events from the past week, make the themes explored more timely.”

Recently, after its customer records were leaked by hackers, a $576 million class-action lawsuit was filed against the company.

Hollywood loves controversy.

Jared Fogle’s Charity never gave any money out to charity and spent a large amount on it’s convicted executive director.

According to reports and records by USA Today, a charity formed by former Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle for the purpose of fighting childhood obesity never issued a single dollar and spent 60% of its budget on the salary of its executive director.

That executive director, 43-year-old Russell Taylor, would later be charged with creating some of the child pornography that Fogle pled guilty to possessing earlier this month.

In 2008, Fogle announced that the Jared Foundation would collect money in order to fund school nutrition and fitness programs and “help parents identify ‘at-risk’ obesity behavior early on.” However, tax records show that never happened.

But while the foundation raked in donations between 2009 and 2013, it only spent about $73,000 a year, far under the promised $2 million.

“If Jared was really interested in helping children through his foundation, he could have gotten more money,” Daniel Borochoff, president of watchdog group CharityWatch, told the newspaper. “As with a lot of celebrities, the charity appears to be more about image-enhancement than charitable deeds.”

About 60% of those annual expenses, about $44,000 a year, went to the salary of the foundation’s executive director, Russell Taylor. [NY Daily News]

When Russell Taylor was charged with child exploitation, possession of child pornography and voyeurism in April, Fogle released a statement saying he was “shocked to learn of the disturbing allegations” and was “severing all ties with Mr. Taylor.” Despite 40% of the budget that remained, USA Today reports that a large percentage of that money was unaccounted for and missing.

Fear the Walking Dead launches with 10.1 million viewers on the first day.

Fear the Walking Dead had some major shoes to fill. But, the companion series to The Walking Dead had record breaking ratings.

According to reports, Fear the Walking Dead launched with 10.1 million viewers and that’s a HUGE deal.

When The Walking Dead premiered in 2010 the show had only 5.35 million viewers, and that record was not broken until the release of Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul when the series had 6.88 million viewers after a lead-in from The Walking Dead. In fact, ratings dropped after the premiere of Better Call Saul to only 5.9 million viewers.

However, Fear the Walking Dead had 10.1 million viewers on the first day and the show didn’t even have a lead-in like The Walking Dead to help boost the ratings.

The Walking Dead has a very loyal fan base. A large majority of viewers choose to watch the show live instead of DVR viewing the series and the fifth season of The Walking Dead had 17.3 million viewers last October which lasted all 16 episodes.

AMC has already announced that they will release a 15-episode sophomore follow-up, which will be split in half just like The Walking Dead.

‘Three Seconds’ starring Luke Evans and Josh Brolin shuts down production indefinitely.

Producers shut down production for the upcoming feature film Three Seconds after the Pennsylvania was unable to guarantee tax credits.

According to a Facebook post by Heery Casting, the extras casting director for Three Seconds a new movie which was filming in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, producers shut down production and will not be continuing after one of the lead actors left the movie.

Some unfortunate news for the film community in Philadelphia. The film “Three Seconds” has shut down production, and will not be continuing.

The reason is that since the PA budget has not passed yet, the State cannot guarantee them the tax credits. They tried to wait, and in doing so, they lost one of their main stars.
It’s unfortunate that this happened, especially since the director was overwhelmed by the quality of talent and crew that he had seen here in Philly.
Also, be sure to note that the PA tax credit program is “healthy”, but it just hinges upon the passing of the full budget.

‘Three Seconds’ was supposed to feature Luke Evans from The Hobbit, David Oywelo, Josh Brolin, and Maggie Gyllenhaal.

‘Three Seconds’ was written by Matt Cook and is based on the novel by Scandinavian writing partners Anders Roslund and Borge Hellstrom.

‘Three Seconds’ centers around a man who is sent by the FBI to sneak into the Polish mafia’s New York drug trade. Going undercover in maximum security prison until he is abandoned by the FBI and his only chance of survival is to break out of prison.

According to Film in Pa, Pennsylvania offers a 25% Tax Credit to films that spend at least 60% of their total production budget in the state.

Projects eligible for Film Tax Credits under the Program are: the production of a feature film, a television film, a television talk or game show series, a television commercial, a television pilot or each episode of a television series intended as a programming for a national audience. Applications may be filed no sooner than 90 days prior to the start date of principal photography in the Commonwealth.

There is no word if Three Seconds will continue filming in another state such as Georgia – which also provides 30% tax credit to movies like Three Seconds.
