  • REAL FAMILIES!  Married parents who fall in their 40s or 50s, with their own kids in high school and/or college (around 15-21 years old), who have previously shopped at Ace, or who plan on holiday shopping at Ace.

RATES

THIS IS A SAG/AFTRA COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION intended for Broadcast and Internet usage. You do NOT need to be an Actor or member of the union to apply or participate.

If chosen for the commercial, you will receive a minimum of $671.69, which is for the session rate for the shoot day. There is also a potential for residuals, which can easily add up into thousands.

Live-Action ‘Candy Crush’ Game Show Coming Soon to CBS

A reality show based on the popular Candy Crush mobile game is headed to CBS.

The network has handed out a series order for a live-action game show based on the popular mobile game. THR explains the new format will be created by Matt Kunitz and will have elements of his popular series Wipeout and Fear Factor. 

From THR:

Here’s how the TV series will work: teams of two use their wits and physical agility to compete on enormous interactive game boards which CBS says will feature next-generation technology as they conquer Candy Crush and are crowned champions. A host will be announced at a later date.

“The Candy Crush franchise is a world-renowned property, so when the head of our interactive and games division, Peter Levin, brought this IP to Lionsgate, we instantly knew it would make an incredibly visual, physical and fun TV program,” Lionsgate TV Group chairman Kevin Beggs said. “CBS is a leader in unscripted television, which makes it the ideal home for Candy Crush, and we’re very happy to have Matt shepherding the production as we partner with the team at King on this series with the tremendous second-screen potential.”

Launched in 2012, Candy Crush Saga and Candy Crush Soda Saga are two of the top 10 grossing mobile games in the United States with an estimated 18 billion game rounds played monthly around the world.

“We are huge fans of Candy Crush and, like so many others, we know the ‘rush’ of advancing to the next level of the game,” CBS Entertainment president Glenn Geller said. “We’re excited to work with Lionsgate and King to adapt one of the world’s most popular and entertaining game franchises for television and make it available to its massive, passionate fan base who can watch and play along at home.”

Leonardo DiCaprio ‘Captain Planet’ Movie is Coming Soon

Leonardo DiCaprio is working on a Captain Planet movie.

As you may remember from the theme song, Captain Planet is “our hero. Gonna take pollution down to zero.” The environmentalism-themed cartoon series from the 1990s followed the blue-skinned superhero, who would be summoned when The Planeteers, a group of multicultural teens who represented earth, fire, wind, water and heart, shouted, “Let our powers combine!” Then the captain would show up and they’d all yell, “Go, Planet!”

Apparently, DiCaprio is going to use this ’90s nostalgia and bring it to a theater near you. The script will reportedly be co-written by Glen Powell from Scream Queens. THR writes that there’s no word yet on whether or not Powell will also star in the movie, thereby kicking off speculation that Powell will star in the movie.

This is not the first time someone has talked about making a Captain Planet movie. Cartoon Network was supposedly working on a movie back in 2011, and Adi Shankar had a plan for a darker Captain Planet movie last year. But, considering Leonardo DiCaprio’s commitment to the environment, I can see this movie actually heading into production.

James Franco is Getting Sued for Allegedly Head-Butting Someone

James Franco was sued on Monday for allegedly head-butting a photographer during a Lana Del Ray concert at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in 2014.

According to reports, the lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court. In the lawsuit, David Tonnessen says he was taking pictures at the show when he saw James Franco “smiling rather demonically.”

After which, the lawsuit claims, James Franco, with a “blank expression of joy on his face,” charged Tonnessen and head-butted him in the stomach, sending him to the ground “in shock and pain.”

“Following the assault, battery and intentional inflection of emotional distress, defendant Franco ran laughing into the crowd, leaving Plaintiff wounded and in pain on the ground,” the complaint alleges.

The suit seeks unspecified damages.

CBS Cancels ‘BrainDead’ and ‘American Gothic’ After Only One Season

Did you watch Braindead? How about American Gothic? 

If so, then I have really bad news. CBS has canceled has BrainDead and American Gothic.

According to reports, both shows had really bad ratings this summer and CBS decided to pull the plug. BrainDead only managed to get 4.5 million viewers and a rating of 0.7 in its June premiere. Meanwhile, American Gothic did even worse. American Gothic had only 3.5 million viewers for it’s premiere despite a strong Big Brother lead-in.

This news comes after CBS handed out full season orders to three of it’s new fall shows including MacGyver, Kevin Can Wait, and Bull.

Marinella Hume Casting is looking for actors, models, and talent to work as background actors and portray waiters, fitness models, and celebrity types for several scenes filming between Tuesday, October 25th through Monday, October 31st in Baltimore, Maryland.

About House of Cards:

 House of Cards centers around the ruthless politician Francis Underwood and his wife and partner-in-crime Claire. The show has been based in Baltimore since the first episode, largely doubling for the city of Washington, DC. Maryland offers filming incentives for both film and TV shows, with TV producers able to access a tax credit of up to 27%.
