‘Flip or Flop’ Star Christina El Moussa Bashed Over Her Bikini Instagram Photo

0

Reality star Christina El Moussa is now in hot water following her Instagram post this week.

The Flip or Flop reality star came under fire after posting a photo of herself and her young daughter Taylor in bikinis on Tuesday.

“Welcome to the family!! @cashiethefrenchbulldog,” the HGTV star wrote. “Click link in my bio!!”

The photo was part of the reality star’s swimwear line L*Space by Monica Wise. Many of the commenters were not too happy to see the reality star, who is currently undergoing a divorce from her husband and Flip or Flop co-star, Tarek El Moussa.

Very strange to pose in this manner with your daughter. It’s one thing to keep it for family memories but if you’re willing to post this for the world to see, you’ve given away her innocence @christinaelmoussa . Do you think about the consequences? I hope her Dad doesn’t think this is normal @tarekelmoussa,” one Instagram user wrote.

Another Instagram user wrote, “It’s cute when it’s candid and the dad is standing behind the camera and when the photo is printed it goes in a cute little “summer time” scrapbook. It’s SICK when you put your daughter in a swimsuit, call up a professional photographer, and give the little girl a donut and say “don’t eat it until we have at least 100 good shots to take home and edit.” It’s weird enough being a little girl growing up in 2017 without your mentally disturbed mother using her to propel her career with “cute” photo shoots. Smh”

Welcome to the family!! @cashiethefrenchbulldog ? Click link in my bio!! ??

A post shared by Christina El Moussa (@christinaelmoussa) on

That said, a large majority of the comments were supportive of the reality star and at the end of the day, the media attention probably helped her sell more of her swimwear line.

Actress Katherine Waterson Reveals the Hardest Part of Becoming a Hollywood Actress

Katherine Waterson has appeared in some of the biggest Hollywood movies including Steve Jobs, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and most recently Alien: Covenant. But, her success in the film industry did not happen over night. In a recent interview for Interview magazine, Waterson discussed how she struggled to become an actress early on in her career and how she managed to get into character as she got older.

Waterson was asked why she doesn’t receive more recognition for her work. Waterson points towards her early days as a struggling actress in New York City and trying to make it.

“Self-promotion is not my strong suit, for sure. I don’t look down on it; I just don’t understand how to do it. All those years working and not working in New York—sure, it was painful, but it was also such a personal process for me because no one was paying attention. Obviously, that was difficult financially, but I’m grateful I was left alone with my work for a number of years. It’s more pleasant not to have to defend or explain yourself so much. A lot of what we do is hard to put into words. And I find that I come up short or disappoint myself in trying to even talk about it. There’s an attitude in Hollywood that those are the tough years, and these are the breezy, easy years, but it’s actually a little more complicated than that. The hell of rejection and panicking about whether you’ve really fucked it all up by pursuing a life in the arts, that stuff’s tough, but there’s also a wonderful solace in it. You get to be alone with your work.”

Watterson explains that her commitment to getting into character is what personifies her as an actress.

She says, “I think everything happens organically. You mine for clues. It’s all immersive and stuff you can use comes out of that immersion. I don’t really like to wear wigs in movies because I like to look like the character all the time. But the big one with that movie was the costumes. When I went for the first fitting, [the costume designer] Colleen Atwood had pulled some skirts and stuff. And as we started working on it, I asked to try on some men’s trousers and then we developed this idea that everything my character wore was stuff that was in her parents’ closet. She had been orphaned as a child, but lived in her parents’ old apartment. So I figured, because she couldn’t really give a damn or be bothered to buy herself anything, she’d be in some modified outfit of her parents. We had some men’s trousers and took them in at the waist and that made them too short. And then with these men’s shoes, which were just a little bit too big for me, it changed the way that I moved. Costumes so often change how you feel. I would normally never be caught dead in a skirt nearly as short as the stuff that I wore in Inherent Vice. But when you find yourself in one, it completely changes you. “

How Stage Fright Nearly Ended Corey Hawkins’ Acting Career

In the last few years after Cory Hawkins has appeared in some of the biggest movies and TV shows. Now the actor is currently working on the Broadway revival of Six Degrees of Separation. His performance on the Broadway show has been so critically acclaimed that he has recently received a Tony Award nomination for it. This is a long way for the actor who had a small role on the now canceled Royal Pains in 2011.

The actor tells Playbill that he made an early attempt at an acting career in Los Angeles, but his real goal was to attend Juilliard. However, a nearly disastrous audition nearly ended his dream.

Hawkins explains that he was interested in the structure and foundation of the classical acting school. “I didn’t audition straight out of high school. I was like, ‘I’m gonna go to California and try my luck,’ but then I wanted to get back to the East Coast. I remember thinking, ‘I want to go to Juilliard, I want that structure and I want that rigor and that classical foundation.’”

With his dream set, Hopkins managed to get an audition for the school. But it merely went wrong. “I’d been working on this monologue since I was a kid. It was from James Baldwin’s The Amen Corner. I remember walking into the room, getting down on my knees, and I was like, ‘This is it, I’m about to act my behind off. They’re about to accept me into Juilliard,’ and completely blanked on the monologue.”

He eventually bounced back and was accepted into Julliard, graduated, and has reaped the benefits of attending the acting school ever since.
