Major feature films casting call for speaking roles in Atlanta, Georgia.

Casting directors are now casting talent for two major feature films now filming in Atlanta, Georgia. Rose Locke Casting is seeking talent to work on two movies including First Man starring Ryan Gosling and Boy Erased starring Russel Crowe. Filming will shoot starting this October through January for the feature films. Producers are holding acting auditions for speaking roles in the movies as well as background acting roles in the feature films.

About First Man:

Josh Singer, who earned an Oscar for his Spotlight screenplay, wrote First Man based on James Hansen’s biography, First Man: A Life of Neil A. Armstrong. Gosling has reportedly been tied to the project since late last year, but only inked a deal to star in the film earlier this year.

After serving as a Navy pilot in World War II, Neil Armstrong joined the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics, the precursor to NASA, as a test pilot and engineer. His first mission as an astronaut was Gemini 8 in 1962, during which he performed the first successful docking of two vehicles in space. On July 21st, 1969 he became the first person to walk on the moon as part of Apollo 11.

About Boy Erased:

Boy Erased a movie starring Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe will film in Atlanta. The movie centers around a Baptist preacher’s son who is forced to go through a gay conversion program. Joel Edgerton will direct the movie as well as star in it. In addition, Lucas Hedges will star in the movie.

According to Deadline, The Resident centers around Devon Pravesh (Manish Dayal) a young doctor who begins his first day working with senior resident Conrad Hawkins who pulls the curtain back on all of the good and evil in modern day medicine. Lives may be saved or lost, but expectations will always be shattered.
