American SKAM casting call for speaking roles for the new Facebook TV series

Casting directors are seeking actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming in Austin, Texas.

Producers are looking for the following types:

  • We are currently holding auditions for an upcoming series based on the Norwegian hit show SKAM, which focuses on telling real stories based on the hardships and pressures of being in high school. The series is an international phenomenon praised for its authentic portrayal of teenagers and is now being remade for an American audience! We’re conducting an extensive search to find Austin teeneagers for the cast, NO ACTING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

About American SKAM:

Skam, the Norwegian teen drama that has taken the internet by storm, will be getting an American remake. Skam is a Norwegian teen drama television series about the daily life of teenagers at the Hartvig Nissen School, a gymnasium in the wealthy borough of Frogner in West End Oslo.

Facebook is releasing the American remake of the TV series. “When I first heard about Skam, it felt like I was seeing the future of storytelling,” Facebook’s Global Content Chief Van Veen said (via Variety). “We’re incredibly enthusiastic about bringing it to global audiences on Facebook Watch.”

“From the first moment I heard about it I thought about Facebook as my partner,” Simon Fuller, the creator of American Idol, said following the big announcement. “Facebook Watch, with its inherently social components and passionate community of fans that surround it, is the absolute perfect partner for Skam.”

According to Extras Casting Atlanta, the extras casting director behind The Walking Dead, casting directors are now casting new talent to work on scenes filming in Atlanta, Georgia this Tuesday, November 14th. Extras Casting AAtlantais “looking for our final group of survivors for 2017.” The casting company is looking for “all big tough guys and girls” with firearms experience. The Walking Dead is also looking for a “range of looks from more clean-cut military types” and “long hair and full beards and everything in between.”

About The Walking Dead:

Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman, this gritty drama portrays life in the weeks and months following a zombie apocalypse. Led by police officer Rick Grimes, his family and a group of other survivors find themselves constantly on the move in search of a safe and secure home. Details surrounding the movie “Antidote” have not been released. However, according to Omega Underground, the website confirmed with two sources that the comic book adaptation will begin filming on September 1st under the working title of Antidote.

Venom is to launch a new series of movies from Sony’s Marvel and Spider-Man based universe of characters. In addition, Sony is rebooting its Marvel productions with the upcoming Atlanta filmed Spider-Man: Homecoming and Venom are the first movies in their lineup. The studio is also producing a Silver Sable/Black Cat project among other characters from the Spider-Man series.
