Disney plans to release Marvel’s “Avengers: Infinity War” as one film with production expected to begin later this summer in Atlanta, Georgia.  Avengers: Infinity War is the upcoming sequel to The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron. The movie is set to hit theaters on May 4, 2018. Details surrounding the new Avengers movie have not been released. However, the comic book character Thanos will serve as the main antagonist of the film, with the plot revolving around the Infinity Gauntlet and the six Infinity Stones. According to IMDB, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, Samuel L. Jackson and Josh Brolin will star in the new Avengers: Infinity War movie.

Details surrounding the movie “Antidote” have not been released. However, according to Omega Underground, the website confirmed with two sources that the comic book adaptation will begin filming on September 1st under the working title of Antidote.

Venom is to launch a new series of movies from Sony’s Marvel and Spider-Man based universe of characters. In addition, Sony is rebooting its Marvel productions with the upcoming Atlanta filmed Spider-Man: Homecoming and Venom are the first movies in their lineup. The studio is also producing a Silver Sable/Black Cat project among other characters from the Spider-Man series.

‘The Walking Dead’ Star Broke Down During Filming On Set

Dozens of characters have died in the eight-seasons-and-counting history of The Walking Dead. But rarely has a death been so impactful as was during the latest episode. In “Some Guy,” not only did all of the king’s men die, but Ezekiel lost his beloved pet tiger, Shiva. It was an emotional episode, so much so that actor Khary Payton, says he broke down in tears filming it.

“The scene we shot of that speech and leaving the Kingdom we shot in the morning, and as the sun was going down later that day, we shot Ezekiel, Jerry, and Carol returning and facing all of those people he told he was going to come back with victory,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “The first time we shot that rousing speech, we had such an intense time that morning, and when I came back and it was just those few people huddled there looking at me? I lost it. We never got it on camera, but I bawled like an idiot when I saw those people. That’s not what this was about. It needed to be a different response. Frankly, I don’t know how much longer I could have cried anyway.”

Payton continued, “Walking back into that situation, it was like, “I told them all it was going to be OK.” There was a dude who was specified in the script, Alvaro’s father [Alvaro was a Kingdom knight who died during the episode]. He was an extra and he kind of looked like Alvaro, and I caught his eye, and it tore me up. It was literally one of the most gut-wrenching moments.”

That’s intense.

Will Smith, the legendary actor behind such great movies such as I Am Legend and the Men In Black franchise, needs your help.

Smith, who is currently promoting across the world for his new movie Bright that launches on Netflix in the next few weeks, is looking for other people named Will Smith.

That’s right. If your name is Will Smith, then all you have to do is comment on a tweet. Details as to why Smith is looking for other people named Will Smith but, it may have to do for the upcoming press tour for the Bright movie.

Bright centers around an alternate universe. In an alternate present day, humans, orcs, elves and fairies have been coexisting since the beginning of time. Two police officers, one a human, the other an orc, embark on a routine night patrol that will alter the future of their world as they know it. Battling both their own personal differences as well as an onslaught of enemies, they must work together to protect a young female elf and a thought-to-be-forgotten relic, which, in the wrong hands, could destroy everything.

Josh Singer, who earned an Oscar for his Spotlight screenplay, wrote First Man based on James Hansen’s biography, First Man: A Life of Neil A. Armstrong. Gosling has reportedly been tied to the project since late last year, but only inked a deal to star in the film earlier this year.

After serving as a Navy pilot in World War II, Neil Armstrong joined the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics, the precursor to NASA, as a test pilot and engineer. His first mission as an astronaut was Gemini 8 in 1962, during which he performed the first successful docking of two vehicles in space. On July 21st, 1969 he became the first person to walk on the moon as part of Apollo 11.

The Real Reason Why Background Actors Do Not Get Speaking Roles

Loopers, the reason why background actors struggle to get speaking roles.

Have you ever wondered why it is so difficult for a background actor to get a speaking role? While, it does happen, for example, Tyler Perry is routinely known for upgrading background extras to a speaking role, many Hollywood productions hire “Loopers” instead.

What is a Looper?

As NPR explains in a 2015 report on the film industry, a Loopers “are voice actors whose work begins after the show or film is shot and edited. Their job is to record what people in the background of a scene could be saying. Their dialogue is never really heard at full volume — and it’s mostly ad-libbed.”

That’s right. When you are watching a TV show, the person you thought was talking in the scene may not even have been that person and instead, it is a voice actor whose job is to provide words to a scene.

NPR explains how the process works by describing a recording session for the show Bones. “On a sound stage at Fox Studios in Los Angeles, seven loopers are recording dialogue for the TV forensics series Bones. They’re working on a restaurant scene, speaking lines that people at background tables might speak, over lunch.

As they record, the loopers stand in a circle under two overhead microphones. A scene plays silently on a big screen. On cue, and often off-mic, they start to walk around and talk. They record random scraps of dialogue, to be mixed later into the scene they’re watching; they are creating human ambience.”

Sound mixer David Betancourt explains why Hollywood hires loopers. ““The beauty of it is it enhances the experience of what you’re watching,” he says. “If you watch without all of this stuff that gets filled in, in postproduction, it feels dead, it feels really flat. If it’s done right, you shouldn’t even notice it.””

So why is it so hard for background extras to get a speaking role. Betancourt says, “It would be too time-consuming,” Harris explains. “When they are shooting, their primary interest is everything the principals are doing.”
