About Dynasty:

Dynasty is an upcoming American prime time television soap opera series reboot based on the 1980s series of the same name, which ran on ABC from 1981 to 1989. Set to air on The CW, the new series was developed by Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage, and Sallie Patrick. It stars Grant Show as Blake Carrington, Nathalie Kelley as Cristal Flores, Elizabeth Gillies as Blake’s daughter Fallon, and James Mackay as his son Steven. The pilot, which was announced in September 2016, was ordered to series in May 2017. Dynasty will premiere on October 11, 2017.

Jim Carrey’s Behavior On-Set of ‘Grinch’ Sent The Film’s Makeup Artist Into Therapy

Jim Carrey’s behavior on sets was captured during his performance for Man On The Moon and later released in the Netflix documentary Jim And Andy. He apparently pushed himself to “psychotic” places and led to some hilarious reactions from the crew.

But according to Oscar-nominated makeup artist Kazuhiro Tsuji, Carrey’s behavior on the set of How The Grinch Stole Christmas back in 2000 actually led him to therapy to discuss the experience. He called out Carrey’s “combative” demeanor in an interview with Vulture:

Production on How the Grinch Stole Christmas was not easy for Jim Carrey. He was encased head-to-toe in green fur, in a design that kept changing, and the fake snow on set kept getting into the gigantic contacts he was forced to wear. The way Tsuji tells it, he took these frustrations out on the crew. “Once we were on set, he was really mean to everybody and at the beginning of the production they couldn’t finish,” he said. “After two weeks we only could finish three days’ worth of shooting schedule, because suddenly he would just disappear and when he came back, everything was ripped apart. We couldn’t shoot anything.”

Tsuji then goes on to discuss the moment that forced him off the set in an attempt to change Carrey’s behavior towards him:

“In the makeup trailer he just suddenly stands up and looks in the mirror, and pointing on his chin, he goes, ‘This color is different from what you did yesterday.’ I was using the same color I used yesterday. He says, ‘Fix it.’ And okay, you know, I ‘fixed’ it. Every day was like that.” Mentally exhausted, Tsuji met with Baker and one of the producers, who were also unhappy with the slow pace. They came up with a solution: He would go away for a while, which would make Carrey see how valuable he was. After a week of hiding, Carrey called. Tsuji didn’t answer, and he didn’t call back. Then director Ron Howard called. He left a message saying Carrey had sworn to change.

“I went back under one condition,” Tsuji said. “I was talking with my friends, and they all told me, ‘You should ask for a raise before you go back.’ I didn’t want to do that — kind of nasty. Then I got the idea: How about I ask them to help me to get a green card?” He returned, and Carrey kept his temper in check the rest of the shoot.

It’s then that he decided to go see a therapist and ended realize how “unhappy” being on set made him. He stayed in the film industry a little longer, working on Looper and Planet Of The Apes. He ended up retiring in 2011, but was coaxed back by Gary Oldman to work on Darkest Hour and earned an Oscar nomination in the process.

Halloween was slated for a November production launch before being pushed back to its new mid-January start date.

According to Omega Underground, David Gordon Green’s Halloween soft-reboot/sequel is now filming in Charleston, South Carolina.

Directed by David Gordon Green (Stronger) and co-written by Alien: Covenant star Danny McBride, the franchise revamp will pick up after the 1978 Halloween.

“We’re kind of ignoring all the films past the first one,” McBride said, confirming the newest Halloween will erase the last nine movies. “It picks up after the first one, but it’s sort of an alternate reality. It’s as if the first Halloween ended in a slightly different way.”

Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her 1978 role as Laurie Strode. Curtis returned for 1980’s Halloween II and 1998’s Halloween H20: 20 Years Later before reviving the character again for her death at the hands of her serial killer brother in 2002’s Halloween: Resurrection.

Disney’s ‘Kim Possible’ Live-Action Movie is Now Casting

Disney is now casting for the live-action Kim Possible movie for the Disney Channel Original Movie franchise.

The live-action movie script writers are the creator of the animated series, which includes Emmy Award-winning creators/executive producers Mark McCorkle and Robert Schooley (Kim Possible, Big Hero 6: The Series, The Penguins of Madagascar) – and Josh Cagan (The DUFF, Bandslam).McCorkle, Schooley and Zanne Devine, who produced or executive-produced over a dozen feature films including I, Tonya and Easy A, are executive producers.

The movie is co-directed and co-produced by Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky.Blyth Nailling (ABC’s Last Man Standing and Scrubs, FOX’s LA to Vegas, One Tree Hill and What I Like About You) is the casting director.

Adam Bonnett, executive vice president, Original Programming, Disney Channels Worldwide, said, “Mark and Bob created an enduring character and kids all over the world found a friend in her, an average girl who just happens to spend her off-school hours thwarting evil villains.  Although Kim Possible ‘can do anything,’ kids and tweens found that this animated redhead was just like them. The original animated series, launched in 2002, inspired two hugely popular animated original movies, Kim Possible Movie: So the Drama in 2005, which was the first animated title in the Disney Channel Original Movie franchise, and Kim Possible: A Stitch in Time in 2003.

About American SKAM:

Skam, the Norwegian teen drama that has taken the internet by storm, will be getting an American remake. Skam is a Norwegian teen drama television series about the daily life of teenagers at the Hartvig Nissen School, a gymnasium in the wealthy borough of Frogner in West End Oslo.

Facebook is releasing the American remake of the TV series. “When I first heard about Skam, it felt like I was seeing the future of storytelling,” Facebook’s Global Content Chief Van Veen said (via Variety). “We’re incredibly enthusiastic about bringing it to global audiences on Facebook Watch.”

“From the first moment I heard about it I thought about Facebook as my partner,” Simon Fuller, the creator of American Idol, said following the big announcement. “Facebook Watch, with its inherently social components and passionate community of fans that surround it, is the absolute perfect partner for Skam.”

Jim Carrey is Calling for People to Delete Their Facebook Accounts #UnfriendFacebook

Comedian Jim Carrey is urging people to delete their Facebook accounts.

Carrey tweeted on Tuesday that he was selling his Facebook stock and deleting his page because the company profited from Russian interference during the 2016 U.S. election.

“We must encourage more oversight by the owners of these social media platforms,” Jim Carrey said in a statement to CNBC. “This easy access has to be more responsibly handled. What we need now are activist investors to send a message that responsible oversight is needed. What the world needs now is capitalism with a conscience.”

Carrey added the hashtag “#unfriendfacebook.”

Facebook has since admitted up to 126 million people saw Russian-bought ads intended to interfere with the 2016 U.S. election. The company has also said its algorithms recommended content created by Russian operatives. Initially CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the idea that Facebook impacted the election were “crazy”. But, Zuckerberg later apologized for dismissing the concerns.

“For a long time America enjoyed a geographical advantage in the world with oceans on both sides to protect it,” Carrey said. “Now, social media has created cyber-bridges over which those who do not have our best interest in mind can cross and we are allowing it. No wall is going to protect us from that.”

Facebook is releasing the American remake of the TV series. “When I first heard about Skam, it felt like I was seeing the future of storytelling,” Facebook’s Global Content Chief Van Veen said (via Variety). “We’re incredibly enthusiastic about bringing it to global audiences on Facebook Watch.”

“From the first moment I heard about it I thought about Facebook as my partner,” Simon Fuller, the creator of American Idol, said following the big announcement. “Facebook Watch, with its inherently social components and passionate community of fans that surround it, is the absolute perfect partner for Skam.”

About Halloween:

Halloween was slated for a November production launch before being pushed back to its new mid-January start date.

According to Omega Underground, David Gordon Green’s Halloween soft-reboot/sequel is now filming in Charleston, South Carolina.

Directed by David Gordon Green (Stronger) and co-written by Alien: Covenant star Danny McBride, the franchise revamp will pick up after the 1978 Halloween.

“We’re kind of ignoring all the films past the first one,” McBride said, confirming the newest Halloween will erase the last nine movies. “It picks up after the first one, but it’s sort of an alternate reality. It’s as if the first Halloween ended in a slightly different way.”

Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her 1978 role as Laurie Strode. Curtis returned for 1980’s Halloween II and 1998’s Halloween H20: 20 Years Later before reviving the character again for her death at the hands of her serial killer brother in 2002’s Halloween: Resurrection.
