  • MINDHUNTER is currently looking for groovy African American men of all ages that would be willing to grow their hair and/or facial hair out for a very cool scene that will film this summer on location in Wilkinsburg this summer.
  • We are casting other BG actors and actresses for this scene as well – but the special category of men who are willing to grow their facial hair/hair out is very important to us in order to sell this important scene that takes place in 1979.

About Mindhunter:

Catching a criminal often requires the authorities to get inside the villain’s mind to figure out how he thinks. That’s the job of FBI agents Holden Ford and Bill Tench. They attempt to understand and catch serial killers by studying their damaged psyches. Along the way, the agents pioneer the development of modern serial-killer profiling. The crime drama has a strong pedigree behind the camera, with Oscar-nominated director David Fincher and Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron among the show’s executive producers.

Natalie Portman’s ‘Pale Blue Dot’ To Film in California and Louisiana

Pale Blue Dot starring Natalie Portman to film in California and Louisiana.

Variety recently revealed that The Academy Award-winning actress Natalie Portman was in talks to replace Reese Witherspoon in Fox Searchlight’s Pale Blue Dot. A sci-fi drama with Fargo and Legion showrunner Noah Hawley set to direct.

Witherspoon had to leave the project due to the filming schedule of season two of HBO’s Big Little Lies but will still produce the project.

A successful female astronaut who, after coming back home from a mission in space, starts to unravel when confronted by her seemingly perfect American dream life. The film explores the theory that astronauts who spend long periods of time in space begin to lose their sense of reality when they return home.

According to reports, Pale Blue Dot is expected to film in California and Louisiana as the states offer appealing tax incentives that could stretch the science fiction film’s budget. Noah and Searchlight are eyeing a production start sometime in June.

Fox Searchlight has yet to give the film an official release date.

Get Paid $25,000 To Make a Climate Change Documentary

SFFILM, previously known as the San Francisco Film Society, has announced a partnership with Vulcan Productions for a new opportunity for aspiring filmmakers looking to tell stories about the most important conservation and environmental issue facing our planet.

“Stories about the environment and conservation that inform and enlighten have never been more important. SFFILM is the perfect partner to support emerging filmmakers in telling these vital stories. Through the SFFILM/Vulcan Environmental Fellowship, we hope to enable greater storytelling on today’s critical environmental issues,” Carole Tomko, General Manager and Creative Director of Vulcan Productions explains.

The fellowship is open to all documentary filmmakers around the world, as long as they can travel to San Francisco to get support from the SFFILM FilmHouse Residency. If you land the fellowship, it not only comes with $25,000 but an advisor on your environmental topic, and access to SFFILM’s artist development services. It also provides travel to San Francisco and Seattle for workshops in filmmaking, the environment, and the entertainment industry.

There is a major emphasis on being an experienced filmmaker, so you’re a stronger candidate if you have made a movie or two. All you need to do to get started is to complete a Letter of Inquiry through the SFFILM portal (which includes basic categories like Topic Summary, Artistic Approach, Budget—must be under $3 million—and Distribution Strategy).

If you think climate change is fake, you should not apply. Otherwise, get started on the SFFILM application, and best of luck! The deadline is Monday, March 5th.

Dynasty is now casting wedding workers in Atlanta, Georgia.

Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming on Monday, March 5th in Atlanta, Georgia.

Producers are seeking the following types:

  • [PATIENTS] Male/Female; Ages 18-55; Open Ethnicity — These are patients in a mental health facility
    .
  • [ORDERLIES] Male; Ages 25-50; Open Ethnicity — These orderlies work in a mental health facility
  • [WEDDING WORKERS/FLORISTS] Male/Female; Ages 21-50; Open Ethnicity

About Dynasty:

Dynasty is an upcoming American prime time television soap opera series reboot based on the 1980s series of the same name, which ran on ABC from 1981 to 1989. Set to air on The CW, the new series was developed by Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage, and Sallie Patrick. It stars Grant Show as Blake Carrington, Nathalie Kelley as Cristal Flores, Elizabeth Gillies as Blake’s daughter Fallon, and James Mackay as his son Steven. The pilot, which was announced in September 2016, was ordered to series in May 2017. Dynasty will premiere on October 11, 2017.
