A new study reviews the worst-reviewed actors in Hollywood.
Website GoCompare.com recently put a survey to see who had the worst record of movies among movie stars by analyzing Metacritic scores for each actor’s films over the last 20 years. As a result, Jessica Alba and Mike Epps were at the top of the list of the worst-reviewed actors of the previous 20 years.
Alba had an average Metacritic score of 39 out of 100, with 59% of her movies received a negative review to just 5% of positive reviews. The actress, who has starred in films such as Fantastic Four, Sin City, and Machete had a worse track record than other famous actresses including Jessica Biel, Heather Graham, and Radha Mitchell, who placed right behind her.

Meanwhile, Mike Epps topped the list of actors with a 38.3 average Metacritic score out of 100. Epps, who starred in hit movies such as Next Friday, Uncle Drew and Resident Evil: Extinction, was right ahead of Kevin Pollack, Josh Duhamel and surprisingly Robin Williams.
GoCompare gathered data from IMDb and to be eligible to appear not the list; the actor had to have appeared in at least 20 movies in the last 20 years. They also had to have a lead role in the film. An average calculated Metacritic grade based on the scores for each film.

A maximum of (4) to (6) grants of $5,000 will be awarded to projects in the pre-production phase of development
A maximum of (6) grants of $15,000 each will be awarded to projects in the production phase during LEF’s major grants review.

The SFFILM Westridge Grant is a new program that supports United States based feature films that are currently in the screenwriting or development phase. The grants are awarded twice a year for projects that “projects that address social issues and pressing questions of our time through creative and original storytelling.”
A total of $200,000 will be granted annually through this program, with four to five $20,000–$25,000 grants awarded in each spring and fall.
“In addition to financial support, recipients receive a range of benefits through SFFILM’s comprehensive and dynamic artist development programs, as well as support and feedback from SFFILM and Westridge Foundation staff. The SFFILM Westridge Grant is open to US-based filmmakers whose stories take place in the United States.”
Deadline to apply is Wednesday, February 20 at 5:00 pm PT
The SFFILM Rainin Grant is a grant that supports films that “social justice issues-the distribution of wealth, opportunities, and privileges-in a positive and meaningful way through plot, character, theme or setting and benefit the Bay Area filmmaking community in a professional and economic capacity.”
Awards are given twice a year in the spring and fall. Awards are given to content creators for screenwriting, development, and post production. On top of a $25,000 grant, reciepients also receive a “6-month residency at FilmHouse and benefit from SFFILM’s comprehensive and dynamic artist development programs.”
Screenwriting Grant: These grants are open to filmmakers anywhere in the US, as well as internationally, and range between $10,000 and $25,000. The funds allow filmmakers to devote dedicated time to furthering their work, and the grant includes a two-month FilmHouse residency in the Bay Area to further develop the screenplay, and have access to both peer and established mentorship engagement. The screenplay must explore issues pertaining to social justice.
Development Grant: These grants are up to $25,000 for Bay Area-based producers tackling social justice issues OR producers willing to relocate to the Bay Area to develop and package their films, including a two- to six-month FilmHouse residency with peer and established mentorship engagement. Non-Bay Area-based producers may apply, if willing to relocate to the Bay Area for the majority of this six-month granting cycle. The development grant continues the organization’s commitment to producers in film through financial and artist development support.
Post-production Grant: These grants support films with exceptional and accessible commitment to stories of social justice. The grant is open to filmmakers anywhere in the US, as well as internationally, with Bay Area-based projects given preference. As of July 2017, funds may be spent outside of the Bay Area, and grants will be awarded up to $50,000.
Post-Production Loan: A new discretionary loan for filmmakers in post-production that will sit in second position to equity investors. Open to any previous recipient or alumnus following the first day of production. Please contact SFFILM Makers staff at grants@sffilm.org to learn more.

The Sundance Institute has a long history of supporting indie filmmakers in finding their voice in the film industry. The feature film creative producing lab and fellowship is a “year-long program designed to nurture emerging producers with project-specific support through the Creative Producing Lab, Creative Producing Summit, Sundance Film Festival attendance, $10,000 grant support, year-round mentorship from one industry mentor, and ongoing support from Sundance Institute Staff. $10,000 grant support is also provided for costs of living and unsupported costs of project development for the Fellow. The Program is designed to hone emerging producers’ creative instincts and evolve their communicating and problem-solving skills at all stages of their next feature film project.”
The Sundance Institute has a long history of supporting indie filmmakers in finding their voice in the film industry. The Episodic Program provides “provides artists with the tools, training, and industry access to move their projects and careers forward.”
The Film Independent Episodic Lab is a workshop that helps aspiring filmmakers refine their TV pilot for the modern TV industry. “The Episodic Lab helps to further the careers of its Fellows by introducing them to industry veterans who can offer guidance on both the craft and business of writing episodic content. Each Fellow will be paired with a creative advisor with whom they’ll work one-on-one and in group sessions to further develop their project over the course of the program. Additionally, guest speakers will screen and discuss their own work to offer insights into the creative process and industry best practices. A final networking and pitch event will offer fellows the opportunity to introduce themselves and their work to the studio and network executives.”
The Alfred P. Sloan Episodic Lab Grant will award one participant a $10,000 development grant.
Screen Australia’s Feature Film production program supports a diverse group of Australian films for theatrical release that “entertain and enlighten domestic and international audiences while reflecting the unique characteristics of Australian identity.”
Screen Australia will not contribute more than 65 percent of the total budget, inclusive of any Producer Offset amount. Please note: in certain exceptional circumstances total funding can go as high as 75 percent at the CEO’s or the Board’s discretion in accordance with their delegation.

About Netflix’s Raising Dion:
Netflix revealed last year that the platform has ordered a 10-episode season of the one-hour sci-fi, family drama, Raising Dion, based on a short film about an African-American single mother who discovers her young son has multiple, constantly changing abilities.
“The series follows the story of a woman named Nicole Reese, who raises her son Dion after the death of her husband Mark (Jordan). The normal dramas of raising a son as a single mom are amplified when Dion starts to manifest several magical, superhero-like abilities. Nicole must now keep her son’s gifts secret with the help of Mark’s best friend Pat, and protect Dion from antagonists out to exploit him while figuring out the origin of his abilities. The show is created by music video director Dennis Liu, who created the comic and directed the short film, which went viral. “I started this project many years ago because I wanted to see more diverse representation on film and television and I’m excited to partner with Netflix and MACRO, who I know shares that commitment. Executive producer Dick Wolf adds another Chicago-centric series to his roster, this time focusing on the city’s most explosive hospital and its staff of doctors and nurses — a world first glimpsed in the “I Am the Apocalypse” episode of “Chicago Fire.” Relationships are forged in the chaos of the emergency room, where the team tackles cases inspired by topical events. Familiar faces from the city’s police (“Chicago P.D.”) and fire departments make appearances as the rich world continues to grow.

Will Smith’s daughter, Willow Smith, reveals it took her a couple of years to forgive her father after becoming famous at an early age.
Willow Smith recently opened up about her early fame following her hit single Whip My Hair, when she was only 10 years old.
Speaking to her mother and grand mother on Monday’s episode of Red Table Talk, Smith, described her father being “harsh” during that point in time in her life.
“I definitely had to forgive you and daddy for that whole ‘Whip My Hair’ thing. It was mostly daddy because he was so harsh at certain times,” Willow Smith told mother Jada Pinkett Smith and grandma Adrienne Banfield-Jones.
“It was a couple of years, honestly. Trying to regain trust for not feeling like I was being listened to or like no one cared how I felt,” the singer continued.
While Willow did not reveal the details, she explained she was able to forgive her father after a few years and forgive herself.
“I had to forgive myself because I felt guilty because everyone is trying to make me better, trying to make my dream. But I didn’t really understand what my dream entailed,” she said.
Last October, Willow Smith also revealed the immense pressure to finish her first album after releasing “Whip My Hair” and led her to self-harm.
“After all of that kinda settled down and it was like a kind of lull, I was just listening to a lot of dark music,” Willow recalled. “It was just so crazy and I was plunged into this black hole, and I was cutting myself.”

Jada then explained the conversation in which she found her daughter cutting herself.
“We went through what happened and, in the moment, I realized as a mother you also have to give your children space to deal with their own shadow,” Jada explained during the “Table Talk” episode. “There’s lots of things that my mother didn’t know about me that she’s just finding out about me.”
Willow’s mother continued and said she decided to focus on what led her daughter to this dark point in her life.
“I was most proud about that she could share it in the way she did, which let me know she had come through in a major way, that she could put it on the table like that,” the actress said. “I wanted to focus on what [it was] that got her through.”
She added, “I really talked to her about her powering side of her journey and give her all the praise in the world for that part instead of focusing on, ‘Why didn’t you tell me?’”

Boomerang is an upcoming comedy TV series based on the movie of the same name written by Barry W. Blaustein and David Sheffield. Boomerang revolves around “a successful executive who finds that his lifestyle choices have turned back on him when his new boss turns out to be a bigger deviant that he is. It is described as an updated version that explores contemporary workplace dynamics, including the changing role of gender, office politics, relationships and the conflicts between Generation X and millennials.”

Last April 2018, it was announced BET had given a series order for a first season consisting of ten episodes. On September, it was announced Lena Waithe and Ben Cory Jones would rite the series’ pilot episode together and executive produce the project alongside Halle Berry and Rishi Rajani. In October 2018, it was announced that Tequan Richmond, Tetona Jackson, Leland Martin, and Lala Milan had been cast in series regular roles and that RJ Walker, Paula Newsome, Brittany Inge, Joey BadA$$, and Kimberly Hall would appear in a recurring capacity.

Leading MacGyveractor is leaving the show following an on-set altercation in Atlanta, Georgia.
Filming in the state of Georgia is at an all-time high. There are over 20 TV shows and movies shooting in Georgia. One of the biggest shows filming in Atlanta is the CBS series MacGyver. However, one of the leading actors on the show is leaving after an alleged altercation on set. George Eads is leaving the show after a reported altercation on set. According to Cinema Blend, Eads had an argument and left the TV set in Atlanta, The alleged incident took place in October and possibly caused a “sticky situation on set.” Sources say there were several more T of production that day. That said, any “on-set altercation that may have happened did not immediately result in George Eads taking his leave of the series.” Jack has been a part of the show in Season 3 and The Hollywood Reporter stats Eads is still in production on MacGyver. Currently, his last episode on the show will air at some point in 2019. No details are now available about his character will be written out of the show. That said, the show could continue without George Eads in the show. One of the most straightforward options would be to kill his character off. With MacGyver filming in Atlanta, he would not have been able to travel back and forth to Los Angeles on a regular basis. Producers have reportedly agreed to Ead’s request to leave the show after Eads desire to quit the series. The altercation does not seem to have been that series that immediate action was warranted against him. Given the messy nature of the split, Eads may not make a return to CBS. He spent 15 seasons on CS, and his departure on that show was reportedly linked to an on-set issue between the actor and one of the writers. The split was described as “amicable,” and it did not result in bad blood between CBS and Eads. We will have to wait and see. Check out MacGyver on Fridays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. Related:
