In a new trailer for The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent, Nicholas Cage appears as himself in the action-comedy about his real-life struggles. Tom Gormican directed the film, which follows a made-up version of Cage who can’t find any acting work and is on the verge of financial ruin rather than being wealthy and successful.

Cage’s fictional agent, Martin, tries to get him a gig guest-starring on a Spanish-language soap opera, but the offer is quickly rescinded when the show’s producer finds out that Cage doesn’t speak Spanish. undeterred, Cage decides to go ahead with the gig anyway and makes a complete fool of himself.

AIn the flesh, Cage is a shell of his former self. He’s been drinking heavily and has gotten into debt with various people around him who want to control his life. A fan named Eddie takes notice of him at an interview, where he also reveals that he has a lucrative offer from one of their rivals for $1 million USD in exchange for a “tell-all” book about Cage’s life.

Cage says he was enraged when he first heard about the film. “I turned it down three or four times,” Cage told THR at SXSW.

A Gormican letter ultimately won him over.“But when I got Tom’s letter, then I thought, ‘OK, he’s not just trying to mock so-called Nick Cage; there is a real interest in some of the earlier work,’” he continued.

The Unbearable Weight Of Large Ability is a behind-the-scenes comedy about the making of “Housebound,” which was produced by Cage, alongside Mike Nilon, Kristin Burr, and Kevin Turen. The film will debut at SXSW on March 12 before becoming available in theaters on April 22.

Don’t sweat it.’ But I thought, ‘I don’t care if I’m playing an amoeba, I have to know something, just give me anything. I promise you, after we spend 15 minutes, it’s all I need.'”

For Keaton, each film’s uniqueness is essential. The Protege, his 2021 action thriller, is one of his first all-out action thrillers and contains a lot of fight sequences. He remembers that saying, “I haven’t done that specifically, so I went, ‘Oh man, I don’t know. Go do it.’ I’d blow my brains out if I had to play the same thing all the time. You’ve got your commercial print models, who work at large retail chains and clothing stores. You also have your runway models, who strut their stuff at Fashion Weeks worldwide. And, of course, you have your celebrity models featured on television and in movies and magazines.

But those aren’t the only modeling categories out there. There are also advertising print, catalog, commercial print/rotational, glamour/swimwear, hosiery/sportswear/denim, life models, Petites, promotional/trade show, runway/fitness, under five feet tall, and seniors.

So what category should you model in? Start by finding out which one you like the best. Do you like doing print ads for major companies or walking down the catwalk at Fashion Week? Maybe you’d prefer to work with a photographer doing a promotional, trade show, or catalog-style modeling.

Once you’ve chosen the category that piques your interest, then it’s time to start searching for a reputable agency to represent you. Make sure their roster matches your selected type and that they have a reasonable success rate placing models in those jobs. Finally, don’t forget to have fun!

Stock Photography Modeling

Stock photography is an excellent way to make money as a model, especially new to the industry. To get started, you’ll need to build up your portfolio, which will require several different types of pictures. For example, you may want photos that feature your face, bare shoulders down, with facial expressions that show energy and emotion. You should also have pictures that include your whole body, as well as images of you from the neck down. Commercial Print Modeling

As a commercial print model, your job is to work with clients who want to advertise their products in magazines, catalogs, etc. You will be modeling clothing for catalogs, clothing on store mannequins, working on advertisements for certain brands of products, etc.

You are not just limited to print ads, though. You can also work as a commercial print model for promotional events. For example, beverage companies may hire you to promote their drinks at nightclubs and bars during happy hour or other pre-arranged events.

Sometimes, a commercial print modeling job may require that you travel to another city or country. For example, a company may be interested in hiring models from outside of their normal area for a fashion show to advertise their brand and new products.

International Modeling Opportunities

As an international model, your responsibilities may include trying out for certain fashion shows and sponsorship opportunities. This is a very competitive category of modeling, so you have to be prepared to work hard to succeed.

You may also need to work with an agent specializing in international modeling. It can be advantageous because you will always have someone to help guide you through the process–and taking care of business matters like booking flights, hotel rooms, and other arrangements is your agent’s responsibility.

Lingerie + Swimwear Modeling

As a model, you will often find that some of your work involves swimwear and lingerie modeling. You should also consider this option if you want to work as a commercial print model and feel like you cannot fit into sample sizes because these jobs typically require that models be smaller than a size 4.

Fashion Modeling

Freelance Modeling

Learn how to submit your script to production companies and literary agents

Your scripts can be submitted to production companies and literary agents in various ways. Scripts must follow all submission guidelines for each company you want to submit. Script submissions can be mailed or hand-delivered, and there are various online services that you also may use (for a fee) if desired.

Mailing Script Submissions

If you choose to mail your script submissions, send them via a reputable courier which provides a tracking number. Script submissions should be sent in a 9″ x 12″ flat manila envelope with the sender’s return address printed on it.

Production companies and literary agencies will not open unsolicited scripts with a proper return address. Without First Class postage stamp on the envelope, script submissions sent via US mail will be immediately returned to you. Include a cover letter with your contact information and a synopsis of your screenplay, including treatment if it’s a television project.

If you mail your script submission on standard paper, follow Script Format Guide exactly with all margins set at 1″ and page numbers on the right-hand side of each page, no headers or footers used. Scripts submitted on standard paper will be returned unopened if they do not follow Script Format Guide.

If you’re planning to mail your script submission in a manila envelope rather than using email (which is preferable), including all the information requested in Script Format Guide precisely as Script Format Guide invites it. Script submissions on standard paper will be sent back (unopened) if Script Format Guide isn’t followed exactly.

Reading Script Submissions Scripts submitted to production companies and literary agencies must not contain any watermarks on the front of the script’s first page, such as security markings or ‘not for distribution,’ Script Format Guide explains. Script submissions not conforming to standard formatting will be returned unopened.

Producers read a multitude of scripts. As Script Format Guide points out, reading scripts takes time and effort – it’s investment producers have to make if they want their project brought in for development. Scripts submitted directly to individual production companies and literary agencies must be Script Format Guide-compliant to stand a chance of being read.

Production companies and literary agents make no guarantees how long it will take for them to review your script. Scripts that fail to follow Script Format Guide are unlikely to be read.

Script Format Guide

If submitting a manuscript format script to a production company or literary agency, you need to follow Script Format Guide (see below) exactly.

Per Script Format Guide, the title page of your script should include:

– Script title

– Script writer’s name and contact information

– Type of project (feature, TV episode/series, half-hour sitcom, short film)

– Script release date (is the project in development, released, or in pre-production)

– Script running time (for screenplays and teleplays)

– Submission release date (indicate whether the script is available for consideration at any point during a set period – such as ‘when received by June 1 st, 2016’ – or only during a specific timeframe – such as ‘only between January 1 st and March 31 st, 2016’)

– Script genre (for example: action/adventure, comedy, science fiction/fantasy/horror, period piece, crime drama)

– Script logline (A brief one-sentence description of the story that is intriguing and concise – the more creative, the better it will be.)

– Script synopsis (This should include: a description of your story’s beginning, middle, and ending; main characters by name and description only – including gender and age range; conflict or problem facing protagonist(s) – what happens to make your story move forward; and, finally, the resolution or end of your story)

– Script contact information (including name, address, telephone number(s), fax number, or email address).

Script Format Guide also recommends labeling your script with your last name first. Scripts should be printed double-sided on white paper in black ink.

A simple brad or three-hole punch should bind scripts. Never staple your script. Script submissions not conforming to standard formatting will be returned unopened.

Build a screenplay submissions contact list

When looking for a manager, make a detailed list of the individuals or organizations you believe your script would be ideal for and want to go after.

Prepare your pitch

We’re looking for:

Build Your Portfolio

If you’re looking to find more paid gigs, your portfolio is critical. As a photographer–especially an amateur–you must build your collection of images, whether on the web or in physical print form. Having both will significantly increase your odds at landing not only free gigs but paid ones as well.

And it all begins with your portfolio. A great way to start is by creating a website and blog where you can upload your images–and even ask for client feedback. They are responsible for overseeing all aspects of a TV series and managing the creative team. It is a challenging job, but it can also be gratifying. If you are interested in becoming a showrunner, or if you want to know more about what this role entails, then read on.

What is a Showrunner?

A Showrunner is a person who is responsible for creating, writing, and overseeing all aspects of a TV Show. Showrunners are often experienced writers in the industry who had worked on several previous shows before they got their performance, or else they pick a concept and sell it to television studios. Showrunners work many hours throughout the week, having late nights and working weekends. Still, the Showrunner works closely with the cast and crew of a TV Show, helping create an environment that stays positive while producing episodes. They are significant to the success of any television series because they are responsible for what airs weekly on television screens worldwide. They need to communicate well with the cast and crew of any television show they are working on because when Showrunners need help, everyone has to work together to finish the TV Show’s next episode. They have usually experienced writers with many ideas that can be used for current or future shows. Showrunners must always be confident when presenting ideas to ensure they get what is needed to make the show successful. Showrunners can either be in charge of a single television show, or they may sometimes work as Showrunner on multiple shows at once.

Showrunners are hired by studios and production companies and usually work with the staff writers and producers, gathering ideas for stories and effects used in future episodes. Showrunners need to know the characters in a show and how each character would react in any given situation. They begin planning a Show’s season by breaking down the overall plot points throughout the series, from beginning to end. They also have to make sure their show fits into the larger picture of what other television shows are airing at the time. Showrunners work closely with writers to create scripts and ideas for upcoming episodes. Showrunners make sure that everyone involved in their performance puts out the best quality of work while still maintaining a positive relationship with everyone working on the show.

Showrunners are responsible for every aspect of their show’s production, from hiring crew members, writing scripts, and approving ideas. Showrunners have a video conference with writers every week to discuss ideas for episodes in the series and what direction they want the show to go in.

Showrunners meet with studio executives weekly to pitch upcoming episode ideas and work out any problems that may come up during production. Showrunners are also responsible for casting their show and must be involved with the show’s budget, storyboards, and casting decisions. Showrunners make sure that their performance is always on schedule by communicating with everyone working on it, and they delegate jobs to other people on the set of a Show. Showrunners may sometimes have to change their show’s episodes to correct problems or add extra scenes that can be added to improve a Show’s overall quality. Showrunners have to understand storytelling and character development well because they must always know their show’s direction and how it will end. Showrunners usually write the show’s series finale, which ties everything together for any viewers who want to watch from beginning to end. They are in charge of their show’s production from beginning to end, and all Showrunners need a proven track record in television. Showrunners work continually with the entire cast and crew of any show they manage throughout the production run. They play an integral part in maintaining a show’s positive atmosphere while helping everyone involved create better episodes each time.

When Showrunners meet with the studio and network executives, Showrunners write out all of their show’s episodes before any cameras or actors are involved; this is called a Showrunner’s bible, which contains each character’s profile essential plot points. Showrunners need to work with large amounts of stress and pressure to complete their show’s episodes on time while also meeting any deadlines that may come up.

Showrunners became well known in the late 1970s and early 80s when Glen Larson and Stephen J. Cannell began managing several shows at once, which were all successful television series. Showrunners have to keep track of every show they are running and organize everything happening within their performance so that both Show viewers and studio executives are satisfied with Showrunner’s Show.

What is BET’s First Wives Club about?

The First Wives Club is getting a TV adaptation. According to reports, BET+ will stream the new series.

The First Wives Club is based on the 1996 buddy comedy starring Diane Keaton, Goldie Hawn, and Bette Midler. The movie will be remade into a TV series for the streaming platform.

The TV series will center around a group of female friends as they deal with the aftermath of their divorces and seek revenge against the men who hurt them. The movie and TV show are based on the 1992 bestselling novel of the same name written y Olivia Goldsmith.

The original movie centered on Annie (Diane Keaton), Brenda (Bette Midler), and Elise (Goldie Hawn), three divorcées and friends from college who want to get revenge on their ex-husbands after they leave them for younger women. The 2019 series will feature a more diverse cast. Hazel (Jill Scott) finds herself caught up in a massive cheating scandal, and her best friends from college—Bree (Michelle Buteau) and Ari (Ryan Michelle Bathe), whose marriages also ended in divorce rush to her side. 

Who is in the cast of BET’s First Wives Club?

The TV series stars comedian Michelle Bureau, actress and singer Jill Scott, and This Is Us star Ryan Michelle Bathe, with Mark Mark Tallman, RonReaco Lee, and Malik Yoba as the male leads/ex-husbands. The movie’s original cast included Diane Keaton, Bette Midler, and Goldie Hawn, with Stephen Collins, Victor Garber, and Dan Hedaya as their ex-husbands. Meanwhile, Sarah Jessica Parker, Marcia Gay Harden, and Elizabeth Berkley played the young women in the mens’ lives.

The show was first announced in 2016 as a possible pilot for TV Land starring Alyson Hannigan and Megan Hilty before moving to Paramount Network, where Girls Trip co-writer Tracy Oliver took over the show as the show’s show runner, executive producer and writer. Oliver made history as the first Black female screenwriter of a film that made over $100 million. She told Entertainment Weekly, “At the core of this one, it was just all about women and women finding their voice and their place. That’s something that’s timeless and something we could definitely use in 2019.”

Olivier is pushing for diversity in production and in the writers’ room. First Wives Club has a writers’ room comprised of a gay Black man, two white women, and three Black women. She told Marie Claire, “I wanted fresh voices, new ideas, and people to speak up because that’s something I experienced a lot in writers’ rooms—being shut down and spoken over by men, things that led to a negative work environment,” she said. “I wanted my writers’ room to be a safe space.”
