Modeling Tips

When you’re in front of the camera, it’s important to remember that modeling is all about angles. The right angle can make all the difference in how you look in a photograph. Here are some tips on finding the best grades for your body type:

If you have a small frame:

– Try to find angles that make you look longer and leaner. Avoid poses that make you look slouched or round.

– Highlight your best features. If you have great legs, show them off with a pose that accentuates them. If you have nice shoulders, try a pose that shows them off.

If you have a medium or large frame:

– Remember that not all photos have to be full-body shots. Try close-ups or three-quarter shots to highlight your best features.

– Avoid poses that make you look slouched or round. Instead, try poses that make you look taller and more confident.

No matter what your body type is, finding the angles that work best for you is essential. Experiment with different poses and angles until you find the ones that flatter you the most. With some practice, you’ll be a pro at finding your best angles in no time!

After working together on the upcoming film Arthur the King, Wahlberg, and Jones will reunite for this new project.

David Coggeshall’s The Family Plan is a story of a suburban dad who has to take his family and flee when his past catches up to him. Skydance’s Stephen Levinson, Wahlberg, and David Ellison will produce Dana Goldberg and Don Granger.

Wahlberg is one of Hollywood’s most in-demand actors, and he started 2020 with a bang by starring in Uncharted alongside Tom Holland. The movie grossed more than $400 million worldwide and was well-received by audiences. He followed up that success with the Sony Pictures drama Father Stu, and his next project is the Netflix comedy feature film Me Timeopposite Kevin Hart. Wahlberg is also attached to star in the upcoming Netflix thriller Our Man From Jersey. WME and Leverage Management represent him.

Some of Jones’ well-known roles are Arthur the King opposite Wahlberg, Years and Years, and the upcoming Netflix series The Diplomat. Gersh and Independent Talent Group represents him.

Skydance is teaming up with Coggeshall for a second time with their new project, The Family Plan. Coggeshall, who has been on the Black List three times, is also working on Matchbox for Skydance and Mattel. Furthermore, he wrote Orphan: First Kill for Paramount and an upcoming untitled possession thriller for Netflix filming in Pittsburgh. WME, Writ Large, and McKuin Frankel Whitehead, LLP all represent him.

The new film arrives shortly after Apple joined forces with Skydance to produce Dallas Sting, starring Matthew McConaughey. As for other films in the partnership between Apple and Skydance Media, The Greatest Beer Run Ever is next; from director Peter Farrelly, it stars Zac Efron and Russell Crowe and will open September 30 following its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. Also upcoming is Ghosted, a high-concept romantic action adventure starring Chris Evans and Ana de Armas, directed by Dexter Fletcher.

Apple and Sky dance Animation have partnered for several years now, with the most recent production being Luck. The movie was directed by Peggy Holmes and scored by Alan Menken, with lyrics from Glenn Slater. Chris Montan served as an executive music producer. Together, they are also working on two seasons of the show Wondla.

How to Get Cast in FX’s ‘Feud: Capote Women’

0

FX’s ‘Feud: Capote’ casting call for background actors in New York City.

FX’s ‘Feud: Capote Women’ Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and influencers to work on scenes filming in New York City.

Producers are seeking and hiring the following types:

  • Background Actor

About ‘Feud: Capote’s Women’:

‘Feud:’ Naomi Watts To Take On The Role Of One Of Capote’s Women In Season 2 Of The FX series, Written By Jon Robin Baitz And Directed By Gus Van Sant.

Ryan Murphy and Plan B are working on the second part of their FX anthology series, Feud. The new installment, Capote’s Women, will feature Naomi Watts as Babe Paley. Paley was a crucial figure in New York society during the 1960s and 70s. Gus Van Sant is set to direct all eight new show episodes. Tony and Pulitzer-nominated Jon Robin Baitz put together the project, wrote all attacks, and will also serve as showrunner.

Join Project Casting to access jobs you can apply to right now.

The miniseries, set in the 1970s and ends with Truman Capote’s 1984 death, adapts Laurence Leamer’s bestselling book “Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era.” It chronicles how the famous wunderkind author upset several of his female friends—who he called his “swans”—by publishing a roman à clef short story entitled “La Côte Basque 1965” in Esquire magazine in 1975. The writing was meant to be a chapter in Capote’s world-famous, unfinished novel “Answered Prayers,” his next book after the bestseller “In Cold Blood.”

After releasing “In Cold Blood” to critical acclaim, Capote rubbed elbows with New York City’s social elite. He referred to high-society women as his “swans.” He counted some of the most beautiful and wealthy women among his close friends, including Babe Paley (wife of CBS head Bill Paley), Slim Keith, Pamela Churchill Harriman (ex-wife of Winston’s son), Lee Radziwill (sister of Jackie Kennedy), Gloria Guinness, and CZ Guest.

La Côte Basque’s characters were not easy to tell apart from Capote’s real-life female confidants. The book contained a lot of shocking secrets and scandals, such as adultery and murder. Once the book was published, all of Capote’s friends (whom he called his “swans”) cut him off. He also lost his good reputation and social standing.

The search for an actor to play Capote in the upcoming film Capote’s Women is currently underway worldwide. The producers of the miniseries (Baitz, Watts, and Van Sant) are expected to begin casting other roles next week with a focus on Oscar-nominated and winning actresses who can star alongside Watts as Capote’s Socialite Swans, including Slim, Pamela, Lee, Gloria, and CZ, as well as Johnny Carson’s second wife Joanne Carson; all friends of Capote who remained close to him until his death.

Feud, created by Murphy, Jaffe Cohen, and Michael Zam, lured in Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon as the leading roles of Hollywood icons Joan Crawford and Bette Davis.

The upcoming Feud: Capote’s Women will be produced by Brothers & Sisters creator Baitz, Milk director Van Sant, and Watts. It is being executive produced/produced by Murphy, Plan B’s Dede Gardner, Tim Minear, Alexis Martin Woodall, Lange, and Sarandon. 20th Television Studio is making it in collaboration with Plan B Entertainment and Ryan Murphy Productions. New York will begin filming this series this fall.

Regina Schneider played Babe Paley in an episode of the Netflix limited series Halston, which was executive produced by Murphy.

The 2005 movie Capote, starring Philip Seymour Hoffman (who won an Oscar for the title) and Michelle Harrison, was set during an earlier period of the novelist’s life. In 2006’s Infamous, Capote was played by Toby Jones, with Sigourney Weaver as Babe Paley and Hope Davis as Slim Keith.

The 2017 show Feud: Bette and Joan was welcomed with open arms by audiences, earning 18 Emmy nominations. Some of these nods include Outstanding Limited Series and two Outstanding Lead Actresses in a Limited Series or Movie for Lange and Sarandon, respectively.

The Feud team had plans for Charles and Diana-centric second season, but it, unfortunately, never came to fruition.

1970s New York is the perfect setting for Murphy’s latest series, joining Halston. Additionally, he executive produced FX’s acclaimed series Pose, which was set in NYC a decade later.

CAA and Untitled Entertainment represent Watts, who also stars in Van Sant’s upcoming Netflix series The Watcher. WME reps Van Sant; Baitz is repped by CAA.

How to Get Cast in Disney’s ‘Genius’ Season 4

0

Disney’s ‘GENIUS’ season 4 is now casting and hiring talent in Atlanta, Georgia.

Disney Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and influencers to work on scenes filming in Atlanta, Georgia.

Producers are seeking and hiring the following types:

  • Background Actors

About Disney+’s ‘GENIUS’:

The Upcoming Fourth Season Of The Show ‘Genius’ Will Highlight Both MLK And Malcolm X In Its Premiere.

The critically acclaimed “Genius” anthology series earned 20 Emmy nominations for its first three seasons before moving from National Geographic and Hulu to Disney+. Season 4, titled “Genius: MLK/X,” features not one but two Civil Rights leaders – Dr. Martin Luther King and Malcolm X – in a first for the series.

“Genius: MLK-X” Raphael Jackson, Jr. and Damione Macedon are executive producers who set out to explore the formative years, pioneering accomplishments, dual philosophies, and key personal relationships of Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X. Jeff Stetson is the screenwriter penning the pilot episode.

According to an official series description, “While King advanced racial equality through nonviolent protest, Malcolm X argued forcefully for Black empowerment, identity, and self-determination. With their formidable wives, Coretta Scott King and Betty Shabazz, by their sides, King and Malcolm X became synonymous with the civil rights era and the fight for racial and economic justice. While they met only once and often challenged each other’s views, neither would have been as successful without the other.”

The new Disney+ series from National Geographic will be executive produced by a team including Reggie Rock Bythewood, Gina Prince-Bythewood, Brian Grazer, and Ron Howard. The production company Imagines Television Studios and 20th Television are partnering on the project.

The Bythewoods, executive producers, said: “Malcolm and Martin are staggering icons, and we have been eager to explore the genius of these two very real men in a way that has not yet been seen. We are excited to team up with Imagine Entertainment and 20th Television to reflect on their amazing lives and contributions to civil rights and the urgency of today.”

Reggie Rock Bythewood is the creator and showrunner of “Swagger,” an Apple TV+ series from Imagine Television. The series was inspired by NBA superstar Kevin Durant’s youth basketball experiences. His wife and creative partner, Gina Prince-Bythewood, is directing the historical epic “The Woman King,” starring Academy Award winner Viola Davis and breakout Thuso Mbedu from “Underground Railroad.” The Bythewoods also co-created the series “Shots Fired” together.

Jackson and Macedon, co-showrunners of “Genius: MLK-X,” was previously consulting producers for “The Mosquito Coast” on Apple TV+.

The first entry in the “Genius” anthology series, starring Geoffrey Rush as Albert Einstein, premiered on National Geographic in 2017.

The second season of “Genius” starred Antonio Banderas as Spanish painter Pablo Picasso and was just as successful as the first. The third installment, “Genius: Aretha,” featured Cynthia Erivo in the titular role of legendary singer Aretha Franklin. It premiered to great success, becoming the most-watched telecast on National Geographic in two years.

Thus far, no actor announcements have been made for the film “Genius: MLK/X.”

Acting Tips in Commercial

When acting in a commercial, you can do a few things to ensure you give the best performance possible. First and foremost, remember that a commercial is all about selling something – so your job is to sell the product or service in the most convincing way possible. This means being natural and enthusiastic while still being able to deliver your lines with conviction.

Here are a few other tips to keep in mind when acting in a commercial:

  • Make sure you know your lines well. This will help you deliver them with more confidence and conviction.
  • Practice your delivery beforehand. This will help you project your voice correctly and ensure that your body language conveys the right message.
  • Be aware of your surroundings. This includes the other actors, the camera, and the crew. Knowing where everyone is and what they’re doing will help you stay character and avoid potential distractions.
  • Remember that a commercial is all about selling. So, no matter your personal opinion of the product or service you’re promoting, you need to sell it to the audience in the most convincing way possible.

Audition Tips for Speaking Role

When auditioning for a speaking role, it’s important to remember that casting directors look for more than just a good voice. They’re also looking for someone who can act and connect with the material. Here are some tips to help you ace your next speaking role audition:

  1. Make sure you’re familiar with the material before you go in for your audition. This will help you understand the character and their motivations and help you deliver your lines with conviction.

Bella Ramsey Reveals What it Was Like to Audition for HBO’s ‘The Last of Us’

Bella Ramsey says she was told not to Tlay ‘The Last of Us’ video game during an HBO Max Audition.

HBO Max’s ‘The Last of Us’ premieres in 2023.

Bella Ramsey, who plays Ellie in HBO Max’s adaptation of The Last of Us, said she was “encouraged” not to play the game while auditioning for the series. This caused some controversy among fans of Naughty Dog’s beloved franchise.

The advice came from the show’s crew, “After my first audition, they asked me, ‘Have you played it?’ And I said, ‘Nope,’ and they said, ‘Keep it that way.'” She admitted that she “did watch some of the gameplay on YouTube just to get a sense of it,” but her excitement for it remains the same, “…it was such a big part of my life. I shot for a whole year, which is quite a long time when you’ve only lived for 19 years.” Ramsey also shared that her co-star Pedro Pascal, who plays Joel, wrote her a card when production wrapped that read, “How interesting that something so huge and life-changing should happen so early in your life and so late in mine.” She added, “I thought it was a really sweet observation, and I just had the best time.”

The Last of Us is a project by Craig Mazin of Chernobyl and Naughty Dog co-president Neil Druckmann. It will be written by Gabriel Luna, who plays Joel’s brother Tommy. Merle Dandridge will take on the role of Marlene, leader of the Fireflies group, while Anna Torv plays Tess, Joel’s smuggling partner. Other guest stars include Storm Reid as Riley and Murray Bartlett as Frank.

In 2023, the Last of Us premieres on HBO Max.

Warner Bros. Discovery Lays Off More Staff And Eliminates Departments.

Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) cut more staff after cutting 14% of its HBO Max workforce in the summer.

Join Project Casting to access jobs you can apply to right now.

On Tuesday, the company’s television studio (125 jobs) cut 26% of its staff across its scripted, unscripted, and animation divisions — laying off 82 people and electing not to fill 43 vacant positions.

Not only this, but the media giant closed its digital production arm Stage 13 and the long-standing Warner Bros. Television Workshop that had been fruitful in producing new talent for 40 years.

HBO Max is set to be shut down, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter. In addition, Warner Bros. has reportedly made plans to lay off staff to cut $3 billion in costs over the next two years while also preparing for the merger of HBO Max with Discovery+. Chairman of Discovery Channing Dungey declined to provide further comment on the dismissals. In a company memo obtained by Deadline, he stated: Channing Dungey According to Variety, Warner Bros. is laying off staff as part of its cost-cutting efforts.

“These are challenging times in the world at large, and a tumultuous time in our industry. For this kind of change to hit so close to home is incredibly difficult. But my hope is that these changes, made with an eye to a more focused business strategy, will strengthen and stabilize our company, maintain our great creative output, and better position us for continued future success.”

The media giant reported a $3.42 billion loss in the second quarter because of several issues relating to its merger.

Warner Bros. Discovery has reduced its forecasts for adjusted EBITDA in 2022, from $10 billion to between $9 billion and $9.5 billion. It also slashed its full-year 2023 guidance from $14 billion to just $12 billion.

“[David Zaslav] has got to magically save $3 billion sometime in the next year,” Peter Kafka, the host of Recode Media, stated to Yahoo Finance Live.

“People will get laid off throughout the fall… it’s a lot of bodies that they have to process, and they have to find ways to save money,” Kafka added, pointing to the company’s falling stock price, which is currently hovering at 52-week lows.

“Wall Street is saying that the combined assets of your company and what was the premier media company in the world are now worth a lot less,” he said. “What can you do to make it more valuable?”

Netflix’s Jeffrey Dahmer Series is One of Netflix’s Most Successful Shows

The Jeffrey Dahmer series ‘Monster’ has become one of Netflix’s most successful English TV shows.

Fans of Netflix’s “Dahmer,” the disturbing drama series that stars Evan Peters as the notorious murderer cannibal, are continuing to binge-watch it in record numbers.

Join Project Casting to access jobs you can apply to right now.

Netflix’s English TV Top 10 list for the third week in a row was dominated by Ryan Murphy’s “Dahmer — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” with 205.33 million hours viewed for the week of Oct. 3-9. That means the limited series is now Netflix’s second most popular English-language program ever, with 701.37 million hours watched after four weeks on the platform, behind only Shonda Rhimes’ “Bridgerton” seasons 1 and 2, which have each garnered more watch time than seasons 1 and 2 of Shonda Rhimes’ “Bridgerton.” In its first four weeks on Netflix, “Dahmer” has outshone seasons 1 and 2 of Shonda Rhimes’ “Bridgerton.”

The record for most Netflix TV hours watched in the first four weeks still belongs to “Squid Game,” the South Korean hit that garnered 1.65 billion views in its initial 28 days on air.

The 10-part series “Monster,” which came out September 21st of this year, tells the story of Milwaukee serial killer Dahmer from the perspectives of his victims. In total, 17 men and boys were murdered between 1978 and 1991 by Dahmer. According to Netflix’s description of the show, in addition to “the systemic racism and institutional failures” of the Wisconsin police, the series also explores how these motivated “one of America’s most notorious serial killers to continue his murderous spree in plain sight for over a decade.”

“Monster” has been famous among Netflix members — but reviewers have panned the show, which currently has a 52% critics’ score on Rotten Tomato. Variety TV critic Caroline Framke called the limited series “predictable,” adding, “It’s a grim, sepia-toned slog that rarely justifies its own existence.”

On the film side, on Netflix’s Top 10 English Films list, Ryan Murphy-produced horror movie “Mr. Harrigan’s Phone” debuted at No. 2 with 35.42 million hours watched after its Oct. 5 debut, according to the streamer. Scarlett Johannson Acting Advice on How To Not Get Typecast

Scarlett Johansson on being ‘Hypersexualized’ and ‘Objectified’ made me feel like my profession was over.

Scarlett Johansson said on a recent episode of Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast that she thought her career would come to an early conclusion because she was “hyper-sexualized” at a young age. The actor claimed she became so “objectified” and “pigeonholed” as a youngster that she didn’t think she could diversify her roles.

“I kind of became objectified and pigeonholed in this way where I felt like I wasn’t getting offers for work for things that I wanted to do,” Johansson said (via Yahoo). “I remember thinking to myself, ‘I think people think I’m 40 years old.’ It somehow stopped being something that was desirable and something that I was fighting against.”

“I think everybody thought I was older and that I’d been [acting] for a long time. I got kind of pigeonholed into this weird hypersexualized thing,” Johansson continued. “I felt like [my career] was over. It was like: that’s the kind of career you have. These are the roles you’ve played. And I was like, ‘This is it?'”

Johansson believes the landscape has changed for young actors, who are no longer so quickly forced into stereotypical roles.

“I see younger actors that are in their 20s. It feels like they’re allowed to be all these different things,” Johansson said. “It’s another time, too. We’re not even allowed to really pigeonhole other actors anymore, thankfully, right? People are much more dynamic.”

Scarlett Johansson hasn’t been seen on film since “Black Widow,” although she did lend her voice to “Sing 2.” Following that up is Wes Anderson’s first project with Scarlett, the star-studded “Asteroid City,” before Kristin Scott Thomas’ directorial effort “My Mother’s Wedding” with Sienna Miller and Emily Beecham.
