Netflix Preview Club – Netflix will soon recruit thousands of reviewers to watch new tv shows and movies before their release date and give feedback.

Netflix did not respond to TechCrunch’s request for comment on The Wall Street Journal’s report. According to the WSJ, the “Netflix Preview Club” has more than 2,000 members who review Netflix titles before they release to the streaming platform. This program is expected to grow by 400% in early 2023.

According to Variety, the program has only existed since May 2021 and is currently only running in the United States. Netflix confirmed this fact to Variety.

How to sign-up for Netflix Preview Club?

From what we could gather from Reddit users who say they are in the Netflix Preview Club, it appears to be invite-only. According to one person, before being able to watch the film, subscribers must sign an NDA and answer a series of survey questions. “You get a special Netflix account, and they email when they have a movie in there for you to watch. Usually, you have to watch and review within a week,” the Reddit user added.

Amazon and Hulu Preview Club

Amazon and Hulu have subscriber feedback programs called “Amazon Preview” and “Hulu Brain Trust,” respectively. These allow users to offer their thoughts and opinions on the presented content.

WSJ observed that “Don’t Look Up” was too serious for the Netflix Preview Club, and thus the creators added more humor before its release. Although critics accused it of a 56% Tomatometer score and 78% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, “Don’t Look Up” had four Oscars nominations and shattered a Netflix record with 152.29 million weekly viewing hours.

To avoid another dry spell like in the first and second quarters of 2022, Netflix needs to keep its subscribers entertained by investing $17 billion in content next year.

If Netflix’s preview program is successful, it could see an even more significant jump in subscribers. The streamer has seen success with its drama shows like “Stranger Things,” “Bridgerton,” “Squid Game,” and Tim Burton’s newest series “Wednesday.” However, if it wants to fill in the gaps, Netflix needs more than that. The program will help give the streamer a better idea of what viewers want.

Amazon Prime Video’s Latest Deal is Great News for France’s Film Industry

Amazon Prime Video has entered into a pact with French Guilds to invest in diverse local content and has unveiled a slate of talent-studded projects.

Amazon Prime Video’s launch in 2016 has certainly made strides. The company’s first French original film, “The Mad Women’s Ball,” was recently nominated for an International Emmy Award. Furthermore, the streamer announced a groundbreaking deal with French guilds at a dinner Wednesday evening attended by esteemed members of the industry and talent in Paris on Wednesday evening, November 30.

Join Project Casting to access jobs you can apply to right now.

Among the talent invited to the Lutetia Hotel were those in business with Prime Video, including Philippe Lacheau (“LOL”), Franck Gastambide (“Medellin”), Eloise Lang (“La Graine”), Melha Bedia (“Miskina”), Ziad Doueiri (“Coeurs Noirs”) as well as producers Alain Goldman, Pathé Films’ Ardavan Safaee, Mandarin’s Eric Altmayer, CG Cinema’s Charles Gillibert, Metropolitan FilmExport’s Victor Hadida, Newen’s Romain Bessi, and Asasha Group’s Gaspard de Chavagnac.

They signed the four-year deal with the guilds AnimFrance, SATEV, SEDPA, SPI, USPA, and SACD by Brigitte Ricou-Bellan, representing all French TV production sectors, including animation, documentary, and live shows.

In addition to Prime Video’s agreement with France’s broadcasting authorities (CSA) to invest 20% of their annual revenues in French content, this new pact will allow them to compete with Netflix, Disney+, and Apple TV+. This came about because of the Audiovisual Media Services Directive (AVMS) put forth by the European Commission.

The new president of USPA, Iris Bucher, joined Ricou-Bellan on stage to announce the deal. This will ensure that Prime Video spreads its wealth across different programs, including animation, documentary, and live spectacles. Prime Video will finance these titles just as with fiction dramas or films. Netflix is currently negotiating to sign the same pact.

According to Ricou-Bellan, the agreement “reflected the parties’ shared vision of promoting the diversity, renewal, and influence of French audiovisual creation.”

Prime Video also showed off its upcoming slate of programs, a mix of originals and acquisitions. This is headed by Thomas Dubois and Sahar Baghery, who were on stage with Elsa Rodde and Benjamin Ferel. Rodde is a well-respected lawyer-turned-producer (“Rose”) who recently joined Prime Video as head of scripted programming and movies for France. Ferel heads up the non-scripted department.

The new roster of originals includes “Killer Coaster” and “Sentinelle.” The latter is a new Amazon Original comedy with Jonathan Cohen, Raphaël Quenard, Emmanuelle Bercot, Ramzy Bedia, and Gustave Kervern. The movie tells the story of François Sentinelle, who has two lives. During the day, he is the most famous cop on Reunion Island, known for his challenging methods and flowery shirts pursuing criminals in his yellow defender SUV. But at nightfall, Sentinelle becomes a charming singer. US audiences will love following Francois’ crazy life as he tries to balance being a severe detective by day while crooning at serenading at nightclubs by night.” Sentinel” is produced by 22h22 and Les Films entre two et 4.

The new show, “Killer Coaster,” stars Alexandra Lamy, Audrey Lamy and Chloé Jouannet. Thomas Mansuy and Nikola Lange created the series and wrote it; now, Lange is also directing it. “Killer Coaster” falls under the production company Vacarme– which is a part of Kabo Productions (owned by Asacha Media Group).

In 2023, both “Killer Coaster” and “Sentinelle” will be released exclusively on Prime Video in 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Due to the success of “LOL,” which was hosted by Lacheau and based on an international format, Prime Video is also increasing its production of several non-scripted shows. This includes the second season of “Celebrity Hunted.” Dubois also announced the success of the Amazon original movie “Overdose,” directed by Olivier Marchal and produced by Gaumont. The thriller launched on November 4 and is currently the most-watched non-English Amazon Original content worldwide in Prime Video history.

In the meantime, Baghery appointed Eloise Lang as head of content acquisition for Prime Video in France. She is a contemporary comedy-drama director and stars Marie Papillon, Stacy Martin, and Francois Damiens. For younger audiences, he decided on “Drones Games,” directed by Olivier Abbou (“Les Papillons Noirs”), Angele Metzger, Orlando Vauthier, Alice Belaidi, and Grégoire Colin will star.

“Drones Games” is a film about Tom, a friendless teen interested in drones, who rob places with an anarchist group. The movie is being made by White Lion Films and Jack N’a Qu’un Oeil at Mediawan. It will come out on Prime Video only in France in 2023.

“La Graine,” produced by Pathé and Les Films du Cap, tells the story of Lucie and Ines, who love each other and want a child. After five attempts of assisted reproduction, they travel to Belgium for a final test and embark on a comedy-filled journey to find the seed. “La Graine” will be released exclusively in France on Prime Video in 2023.

Baghery also premiered a trailer for “Coeurs Noirs,” the new series directed by Doueiri. This is the French-Lebanese filmmaker of the Oscar-nominated movie “The Insult’s” TV debut, alongside the success of his previous show “Baron Noir.” Produced by Mandarin Television, “Coeurs Noirs” follows French Special Forces as they battle ISIS.

The executive, who closed a few deals with Warner Bros. Discovery and Sony to improve its programming in France with some high-quality titles, said she was keen on joining all types of projects at different stages, from development to post-production. Even during the script stage, the acquisition model allows the producers to “keep the IP,” Baghery explained, adding that the streamer was also looking for ways to partner up with French and European broadcasters and TV groups to invest in ambitious series. A recent example of this type of collaboration is “Coeurs Noirs,” financed by Prime Video and France Televisions.

Commercial Acting Tips

When it comes to commercial acting, a good rule of thumb is to find an effective and concise way to get your message across. Commercials are about delivering a clear statement quickly, so you want to ensure that you can communicate the ideas or products being presented effectively within the limited airtime. To this end, try focusing on accentuating critical points in your delivery rather than merely reciting lines.

It’s also important to know how you look and sound on camera. Even though you may feel like you’re just reading off a page during auditions and performances, keep in mind that the camera will pick up everything from your facial expressions and posture to your vocal inflections. So be sure to practice your delivery in front of a mirror or have someone watch you and provide feedback.

Finally, make sure that you’re doing your research before going into any commercial role. Understand the product or message you’re trying to portray so that you can make informed choices on how to deliver it effectively. This could include reading up on the company’s mission statement and familiarizing yourself with the target demographic. Doing this preparation work beforehand will help ensure that when it comes time to perform, your delivery will be natural and confident!

Proven Methods to Up Your Odds of Booking an Acting Role

  1. Make sure your headshots and resume are up-to-date. You want to ensure that your headshot accurately reflects what you look like today and that your resume lists all the relevant experience you bring to the role.
  2. Practice your monologue or sides before heading into the audition room. It’s essential to be as prepared as possible to make a great impression in the short amount of time they give you.
  3. Be confident and enthusiastic at an audition – even if this isn’t always easy! Showing confidence means emphasizing how well-suited you are for the part while demonstrating enthusiasm shows them how passionate you feel about it.
  4. Speak clearly and project your voice. Auditioning can be a bit nerve-wracking but remember to speak clearly and project your voice so that everyone in the room can hear you.
  5. Research the material beforehand. Please research the production, director, or other cast members to understand better what they’re looking for in an actor and how they like to work.
  6. Don’t be afraid to take risks – but do it wisely! Taking risks can help with making unique choices and standing out from the crowd, but make sure that those risks don’t come at the expense of others in the audition room or otherwise hurt your chances of booking the role.
  7. Follow up after an audition if it was a good fit. Following up with a polite, professional thank-you note is always appreciated by casting directors and shows them that you’re still interested in the role.

Acting Tips for Kids

As a kid, acting can be enjoyable. But if you want to be a good actor, there are some things you need to keep in mind. Here are some acting tips for kids:

  1. Belief in what you’re doing. When performing, it’s essential to believe in what your character is doing. If you don’t believe in what you’re doing, it will be hard for the audience to believe in you.

  1. Be yourself. It’s essential to play a role that is true to who you are. Don’t try to be someone you’re not. The audience will see through it, making your performance less convincing.

  1. Be honest. When you’re performing, be open with your emotions. Don’t try to fake it. The audience will be able to tell, making your performance less believable.

  1. Know your lines. This one is self-explanatory. It will be challenging to deliver a convincing performance if you don’t know your lines.

  1. Practice, practice, practice. The more you practice, the better you’ll be at performing. So make sure to rehearse your lines and blocking before the big day.

  1. Stay in character. Once you’re in character, it’s essential to stay in character. Don’t break character unless it’s necessary.

  1. Be aware of your body language. Your body language says much about your character and can influence how the audience perceives you. So make sure you know how you’re standing and moving onstage.

  1. Listen to directions. If the director gives you a note, make sure you listen to it and try to incorporate it into your performance.

  1. Relax and have fun. Acting is supposed to be fun. So relax and enjoy yourself. The more fun you’re having, the better your performance will be.

Video Shoot Acting Tips to Land Your Audition

When shooting a video, there are a few things to keep in mind to ensure you give the best performance possible. Here are some tips:

First and foremost, be prepared. Know your lines inside and out so you can focus on delivering them convincingly.

Pay attention to the director’s instructions and take direction well. It’s essential to be able to take advice and use it to improve your performance.

Stay focused and present throughout the entire shoot. It can be difficult, especially if you’re shooting for long hours, but it’s essential to maintain your energy and focus, so your performance doesn’t suffer.

Remember that a video shoot is not a live performance. It means that you can take your time with each take and focus on nailing the delivery of your lines.

What is an Infomercial?

Infomercials are a type of advertising that typically feature a product or service being promoted in a lengthy, often exaggerated manner. They are commonly seen on television, but can also be found in other forms of media such as radio, print, and online.

Informercials often use persuasive techniques to get viewers to take action, such as urging them to call a toll-free number or visit a website. Some common claims made in infomercials include “this product will change your life!” or “you won’t believe the results you’ll get!”

While infomercials can be effective in promoting products or services, they are also often criticized for being too long, too pushy, and for making false claims. If you’re considering using an infomercial to promote your business, it’s important to make sure that you create a well-crafted and truthful ad that will capture attention without turning viewers off.

Acting Tips

Infomercials are a great way to get your message across to potential customers. However, there are a few things you should keep in mind when creating an infomercial.

First, you need to make sure that your message is clear and concise. You don’t want to overwhelm viewers with too much information.

Secondly, you need to make sure that your infomercial is entertaining. If it’s not, people will simply change the channel.

Finally, you need to make sure that you’re offering something of value. If you’re not, people will see right through your infomercial and it will be a waste of time.

Modeling Tips in a Photoshoot

Model shoots are a great way to show off your best features and get amazing photographs for your portfolio. However, they can also be quite nerve-wracking, especially if you’re new to modeling. Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your next model shoot.

  1. Relax and be yourself. The camera will pick up on any tension or discomfort you’re feeling, so it’s essential to relax and be yourself. Take a few deep breaths and try to think of something happy or funny before the shoot begins.
  2. Work with the photographer. A good photographer will want to work with you to get the best results. Listen to their suggestions, and don’t be afraid to try new things.
  3. Know your angles. Everyone has their best side, so make sure you know yours! Practice posing in front of a mirror at home so you’ll be prepared for your shoot.
  4. Wear the proper clothing. You want to look your best for your model shoot, so choose clothes that flatter your figure and make you feel confident. Avoid anything too baggy or constricting, and ensure your shoes are comfortable enough to walk and stand in for long periods.
  5. Be prepared to take direction. The photographer will likely give you some advice during the shoot, so it’s essential to be open to their suggestions. They know what they’re doing, so trust their expertise!
  6. Have fun! Modeling can be a lot of work, but it should also be enjoyable. So make sure to relax and have fun during your shoot. Smiling is always a good idea!

About ‘House of the Dragon’:

House of the Dragon is an American fantasy drama television series independently created by George R.R Martin and Ryan Condal as a prequel to Game of Thrones (2011-2019). Both television series stems from Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire novels. The showrunners are Condal and Miguel Sapochnik. The series is set about 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. It is 172 years before the birth of Daenerys Targaryen, a descendant of the eponymous royal house, and 100 years after Seven Kingdoms was united by force under Targaryen’s rule. The novel, “Dance of the Dragons” covers the events leading up to and resulting in House Targaryen’s civil war.

In October 2019, House of the Dragon was ordered straight to series. A little over a year later in July 2020, casting for the show began, with principle photography set to start April 2021 in the United Kingdom. The series premiered on August 21, 2022 and five days later was renewed for a second season. The first season consisted of ten episodes. After Sapochnik finished showrunning the first season, Condal took over as the sole showrunner for the second season. Latest ‘House of the Dragon’ News:

‘House of the Dragon’ Enters HBO History as Most-Watched Season Finale Since’ Game of Thrones’

House of the Dragon’s season one finale shatters HBO’s records, becoming their most-watched season finale since Game of Thrones.

As compared to three years, ago, 9.3 million more people tuned in to watch the season finale of “The Black Queen” on Sunday night. Although this is still significantly lower than the 19.8 million viewers who watched the series finale of Game of Thrones, it exceeds House of Dragon’s record high earlier in the season by 800 thousand views, with 10.2 million total during episode two.

“We’re so thrilled to see House of the Dragon catch fire with Game of Thrones fans around the world, as well as new viewers who are discovering the world of Westeros for the first time,” said Casey Bloys, Chairman and CEO of HBO and HBO Max. “Congrats to George, Ryan, Miguel, and the whole House of the Dragon team on an incredible first season.”

The following season of House of the Dragon is set to premiere in 2024.

‘House of the Dragon’ Season 2 Begins Production in Early 2023.

The follow-up season will occur five days after the premiere.

House of the Dragon’s first season was reasonably slow-paced, focusing much on relationships and tension between Targaryens. However, things started to pick up speed towards the end of the series, resulting in an inspiring finale. Now that fans have had time to process everything that happened, many wonders when Season 2 is coming out.

The show’s second season was confirmed five days after its premiere, which broke records with nearly 10 million viewers in the United States. Ryan Condal, the series’ producer, says that filming for Season 2 will start in early 2023. This means that fans can expect the show to return in either late 2023 or early 2024 and focus on the civil war known as the Dance of Dragons.

“Because of the incredibly demanding production schedule of the show, facets of the show have to overlap with one another, which means that we were writing Season 2 long before they ever announced it, while we were in post in Season 1. So we really have to storm right into the making of Season 2 now in order to keep pace with fans’ healthy appetites for material and HBO’s need and desire to release the show in a reasonable timeframe from season to season,” says Condal.

Season 1 of the House of Dragon is now accessible on HBO Max.

Following the success of “House of the Dragon,” HBO plans to develop more spin offs related to “Game of Thrones.”

The show’s season one finale became HBO’s most-watched since ‘GoT.’

HBO is looking to produce more Game of Thrones spinoffs, thanks to the success of House of the Dragon.

Casey Bloys of HBO stated that their next project would likely be the second season of the show. In addition, they will begin developing spinoffs with George R.R. Martin as soon as he finds a story he “is happy with” He continued,” I try not to comment too much [on] development, so there’s not a whole lot to say, other than when we find the story that George is happy with, and we’re happy with, we’ll move forward.”

The HBO exec refused to comment on whether the network would release a spinoff show yearly; they said: “Well, let’s see.” He added, “That would be nice. That would be nice.”

The season one finale of House of the Dragon, entitled “The Black Queen,” was viewed by 9.3 million people across all platforms during its premiere on Sunday night. This makes it HBO’s most-watched season finale since the series ender of Game of Thrones.

Academy Award-winning actress Anne Hathaway and Emmy Award-winning actor Jeremy Strong, who have both starred in the 2019 film Serenity and the upcoming 2022 film Armageddon Time, had a conversation discussing their work. In this “Actors on Actors” interview with Variety, Hathaway shared an exciting story about a scene from one of her most recent projects.

According to WeCrashed star Anne Hathaway, one of the scenes in the new Apple TV+ series was an idea she had during her first acting job, but never got to use. She finally found a place for it in this show about the disastrous company WeWork:

“My very first job was on a TV show called Get Real. It was my senior year of high school. I was away from home. I was shooting in Los Angeles. I was 16. There were just a lot of feelings that I had that I didn’t understand. I would have to go to set and feel really nervous, and I would start to cry, but I would know that I couldn’t cry my makeup off. So I would take a tissue and fold it in half and I would cry into the tissue. After doing this a certain number of times, I remember thinking to myself, “This would be great to see on camera.” And I have tried to get that moment into a film on several occasions, and everybody always looked at me like I had three heads when I would suggest it. She has to cry without crying off her makeup, which is something that I think a lot of women understand. I just had a feeling that it would look really strong on camera to watch the tears just saturate the tissue but not fall.”

Hathaway reflects on a moment from her past and returns to a common adage about acting. She shares her thoughts on whether or not actors are only capable of playing versions of themselves. She says, “I remember when I was younger, an actor saying, ‘You can only ever really play yourself.’ And I thought, ‘I don’t know that I fully agree with that. I’m trying to play as many different characters as I can.’ I don’t necessarily work this way anymore, but in the beginning part of my career, I did connect to my characters through trauma. I would kind of search out parts in myself where I was broken and parts where they were broken, and I would try to find my way into them through that way.”

Jonathan Majors Reveals His Acting Preparation for Marvel

In a recent interview, Jonathan Majors talked about preparing for his role in Marvel’s ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’ with director Destin Daniel Cretton.

It may appear as though Jonathan Majors is appearing in everything these days, and that’s because he has been.

Over the weekend, Michael B. Jordan shared the first look of Majors as boxer Damian “Dame” Anderson in “Creed III” at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Gala and Variety’s honoring event at Newport Beach Film Festival.

Majors summed up his whirlwind past few months simply: “It’s just the season,” he told Variety’s Angelique Jackson at Newport Beach on Sunday.

It has most definitely been actor Majors’ season as of late. He was recently praised at the festival with an Artist of Distinction award for his top-notch role in “Devotion.” In the film, he acts out pioneering fighter pilot Jesse Brown–the Navy’s first Black aviator. Following that part, he has even more upcoming movies lined up, one of which fans are incredibly excited for: His portrayal of Kang the Conqueror in Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.” The movie is set to come out next February.

Majors expressed his delight at joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe to Variety’s Marc Malkin at Saturday’s Academy Gala, remarking that “every time they call and say, ‘Hey, we need you for this,’ it’s another miracle.

The actor is only taking his Marvel duties “scene by scene,” but he knows very well how big of a deal to be part of these movies. “Every time there’s an event about it or something breaks about it, I go, ‘Yeah this is real,'” he said.

The first time he saw himself in the role of Kang, Majors wasn’t sure if it was him on screen. “Because he looks different than I do. He is a different man than I am. He used all my material, but he’s a different cat,” he cracked. “When I first heard the trailer, I didn’t recognize the voice, and he was narrating the whole thing. I was like, ‘What is that?’ I was like, ‘Oh, that’s a great line. That’s a bar; that is a bar.’ And then they showed who it is and I was like, ‘Oh, oh, oh, okay, cool.'”

The world has yet to get their first glimpse at Kang — save for lucky fans who saw the trailer at Comic-Con and D23 — but everyone has seen the actor’s recent physical transformation, courtesy of his ab-tastic Men’s Health cover, which exploded onto the internet last week. The recipe for those: “Work. Time. Prayer. Rice and chicken, six times a day,” he quipped, noting that the training wasn’t “hard,” but it was like an event. It was a year-and-a-half of his life with a regimen of “Wake up, workout, act, sleep, repeat.”

Kang’s road as part of Marvel’s Phase 5 will lead to the 2025 film, “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.” This was recently announced by Destin Daniel Cretton, who is also directing “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.” On Sunday at the Newport Best Film Festival, Majors confirmed that he and Cretton have already begun talking about the story arc.

“Well, we just had a few chats. We spoke for a very long time,” Majors shared. “He’s an open mind. He’s an open heart. He and the work that he does is grounded, and that’s the most important part about it.”

He proceeded by explaining Cretton’s importance.

“We’re dealing with myths: what is a ‘Kang’? What is a movie? You know, what is an MCU movie? What does that mean? What’s that look like?” Majors observed. “Those are the questions we are asking, but all of that works when it’s grounded and really, really really, tucked into the given circumstances of what’s going on between these people and what we can illuminate for ourselves as a species.”

The question of what makes Kang — who is set up to be the MCU’s new primary antagonist — a villain is still in question. “What is a villain?”

After his MCU moment, Majors will play an amateur bodybuilder in “Magazine Dreams” and then act opposite Willem Dafoe in “The Man in My Basement,” the film adaptation of Walter Mosley’s bestselling novel. The Emmy-nominated actor is also interested in playing Dennis Rodman in Lionsgate’s “48 Hours in Vegas,” about the then-Chicago Bulls stars’ infamous trip during the 1998 NBA Finals.

“His character as a man is one that is unbridled,” Majors said of Rodman, explaining that questions like “What is to be free? To make your choices, regardless of the impending consequences?” are what he most loves to explore.

“He’s eclectic. He’s an open mind. He’s an open heart. And, selfishly, you want to play a role like that because it’s gonna push you to that place,” Majors explained. “Jesse Brown teaches me things about my soul and spirit. I know Rodman’s going to too, and I’m just looking forward to getting into it.”

For the time being, Majors is concentrated on “Devotion.” The film, directed by J.D. Dillard, had its world premiere in September at the Toronto International Film Festival. It has been advancing across the festival circuit ever since, receiving high praise at every stop.

“My brother, the president of Newport [Beach Film Fest.] pulled me aside, and he’s been very complimentary about the film. He said that his father was in the Navy and loved that it was a true depiction of it,” Majors shared. “When I looked at his face, I felt he meant it. He’s a middle-aged, beautiful man from a different background and myself, and he’s being touched by it. So I go, okay, that’s what we want to do.”

At the event, Majors was joined by Dillard, who presented him with the award. His co-star Christina Jackson was also in attendance and honored as one of Variety’s 10 Actors to Watch.

Majors was more excited about Jackson’s success than his own. “I remember how we worked on the set together — her excitement, her focus, her willingness to try,” he explained. “I’ve been watching her for a long time, and so I’m glad everybody else is waking up.”

“Devotion” hits theaters on Nov. 23.
