Star Wars Cast Support Dying Fan’s Wish to See ‘The Force Awakens’ Early Goes Viral

Mark Hamill wants a dying Star Wars fan to see The Force Awakens early.

Even though Mark Hamill may be playing an evil Luke Skywalker, he is a pretty good guy. Hamill has worked with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and now he’s using his Twitter to get fan Daniel Fleetwood to see The Force Awakens before it hits theaters.

Fleetwood has terminal cancer and, as he told KPRC Houston, “Judging by how progressive the disease has gotten in the past two months, I really don’t think that I’ll be able to make it” to the Dec. 18 release date.

Daniel is in hospice care at home now, spending as much time as possible with his wife Ashley and hoping beyond all hope to see theStar Wars film before time runs out… Daniel is hoping the makers of the movie, Disney, will allow him to see the final version of the movie, even if it’s a screening supervised by studio executives. Over the past 24 hours #ForceForDaniel has gone viral on Twitter.

In 2012, J.J. Abrams, the director of Star Wars: Force Awakens, the director screened a rough version of of Star Trek Into Darkness for several sick fans five months before the movie was released.

Hopefully, J.J. Abrams will have the same compassion for Daniel.

‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ was co-written and directed by JJ Abrams and takes place 30 years after ‘Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi,” when the rebels crushed the Galactic Empire. While audiences will see some of their favorite actors return to their iconic roles, a new wave of villains and heroes are expected to appear in the new feature film.

‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens” features Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie and Pip Anderson.

ABC Family Announces Open Casting Call for Nicki Minaj Sitcom

ABC Family announces a nationwide online open casting call to find a young Nicki Minaj.

ABC Family, who plans on changing their name to Freeform in January, is searching high and low to find a younger version Nicki Minaj.

The network announced it will hold an open online casting call for young girls to play the young Nicki Minaj in the upcoming TV series about the rapper’s childhood and life.

The casting call is looking for a girl between the ages of 11 and 13 to play Nicki Minaj.

The series will be a half-hour sitcom that centers around Minaj’s childhood in Queens, New York in the 1990s after her family’s immigration from Trinidad.

Nicki Minaj will produce and appear in the TV show, as well as write the lyrics for the younger version of her self.

To access the script and upload audition video, download the free Disney Applause app, select “ABC Family’s Online Open Call” and follow instructions. All auditions will be accepted until November 15th.

HBO May Postpone Release of ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6

HBO may have postponed Game of Thrones season 6 to a later release date.

If you were patiently waiting for season 6 of Game of Thrones, you may have to wait a little bit longer.

Instead of the typical late March release date, the season 6 of HBO drama may not be released until late April, according to reports.

However, there is a bright side to this bad news, George R.R. Martin’s next book, The Winds of Winter, may be released before season 6 even premieres on HBO.

Game of Thrones season six began filming in July.

This news of a late release comes as reports surfaced of a possible Game of Thrones movie.

George R.R. Martin told reporters, “There will be a movie but I will not be involved. I have too much to do. That is something HBO and (executive producers) DB (D.B. Weiss) and David (Benioff) are dealing with. I have two more books to finish and I still have so much to do. The pressure is on. I am such a slow writer and the fans get upset that I don’t write faster.”

Jay Z’s Tidal Launches Two New Exclusive Series

Jay Z’s Tidal picks up two new series to expand the streaming network.

Jay Z’s Tidal, the steaming music-subscription service launched by the Brooklyn rapper, is expanding into new and original scripted and unscripted programming.

The company has currently ordered to produce two new series. Brooklyn street-life drama, “Money & Violence” season 2, with new episodes set to premiere in January, according to Variety.

Money & Violence is a new series and is created and stars Moise Verneau. The series was self-funded by the actor and uploaded to YouTube. The show gained a huge following and Jay Z picked up the series for a 12-episode second season. Currently, Tidal offers the first season of Money & Violence and exclusive behind the scenes information on their steaming website.

No Small Talk, a reality series about a group of aspiring comedians, which is expected to be released on November 3rd. The new series will be hosted by DJ Cipha Sounds, produced exclusively for Tidal. It will start out with five episodes of only 25 to 30 minutes each.

While Tidal offers a small selection of video content, including several music videos, short films and on-demand videos of past live streams, but these new series shows Jay Z’s new direction for the company.

According to Variety sources, Tidal is also planning on creating several new series centering around aspiring musicians and sports-related TV shows.

Jay Z’s decision comes as Tidal, which was backed by several major recording artists, struggles to compete with other major streaming competitors such as Apple Music, Spotify and YouTube.

There were also rumors that Jay Z was planning on selling the company to Samsung after a meeting with Samsung Electronics executives in Silicon Valley.

#OPKKK – Anonymous Hacking Group Releases List of Alleged KKK Members

#HoodsOff #OpKKK – Anonymous publishes list of Ku Klux Klan (KKK) members online.

The group hacking group, Anonymous, which last week announced their plans to expose the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) members, has started publishing personal information of alleged KKK supporters, according to reports.

Anonymous revealed that they plan on revealing the identity of 1,000 members of the KK after gaining the person information they obtained from hacking into a compromised Twitter account associated with the group, the International Business Times website reported on Monday.

Anonymous posted four listings on the text-sharing website Pastebin, including 57 phone numbers and 23 email addresses on Sunday evening.

According to the reports, Anonymous is also planning a social media campaign against the KKK. Telling supporters to use the hashtag #HoodsOff and #OpKKK.

The hacking event is timed with the first anniversary of the grand jury decision not to indict officer Darren Wilson, the white police officer who shot unarmed black teenager Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri in August 2015.

International Business Times has reported that they have tried calling several of the numbers on the list, but they have been unable to speak with anyone.

However, the group revealed that “this is just the beginning,” according to a press release issued by Anonymous.

Since the announcement, people have gone to Twitter using the hash tag #OpKKK to either support or bash Anonymous.

Report Suggests NBC is Concerned with Jimmy Fallon

NBC is reportedly worried about Jimmy Fallon.

Following last week’s slip and fall with a bottle of Jägermeister that put Jimmy Fallon in the hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts, NBC is worried about their leading late night host.

Nothing that a few band aids couldn’t fix.

The incident follows three other “party-guy injuries” in just the last four months, one of the injuries was so series that his finger almost ripped off in a freak accident. In August, the comedian also chipped his tooth in an accident. Now, according to the New York Post, sources say NBC is worried that Jimmy Fallon’s drinking has turned for the worse, and while they are not doing anything about it, “it’s gone from being a whisper to a chatter.”

According to the New York Post’s sources, working on the Tonight Show has become extremely stressful and a lonely job.

“Jimmy Fallon is a highly valued member of the NBC family who is both a tireless worker and an extraordinarily gifted performer,” an NBC spokesperson said in an official statement to The New York Post.

New ‘Star Trek’ TV Series Coming Soon to CBS

CBS to reboot Star Trek for a new TV series to appear in 2017.

If you’re a big fan of Star Trek, then I have some amazing news for you. According to the New York Times, CBS is planning on rebooting the hit franchise with a new TV series debuting in 2017.

According to the report, the new Star Trek series will center around “new characters seeking imaginative new worlds and new civilizations, while exploring the dramatic contemporary themes that have been a signature of the franchise since its inception,” CBS said in a news release.

The new Star Trek series will be executive produced by Alex Kurtzman, the writer and producer of the previous 2009 Star Trek movie reboot.

But, Kurtzman has had a long history working in Hollywood. He worked on hit TV shows such as Alias, Fringe, Sleepy Hollow and Xena: Warrior Princess. 

Star Trek has been a part of modern day pop culture for the past 50 years. The show was first created in 1966 and ran on NBC from 1966 to 1969.

The TV series then lead to a series of spinoffs including Star Trek: The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine.

According to the press release, CBS said the series will start in January 2017 with a special episode aired on the network. The later episodes will only be available on CBS All Access, a brand new subscription video site for the CBS network.

But, if you don’t want to cough up the bucks to watch the CBS All Access subscription service, then you can always watch the upcoming Star Trek feature film which is expected to hit theaters next summer after filming in Canada earlier this year.

David Stapf, the president of CBS Television Studios, said in a statement that Everyone here has great respect for this storied franchise, and we’re excited to launch its next television chapter in the creative mind and skilled hands of Alex Kurtzman, someone who knows this world and its audience intimately.”

Ohio Legalized Weed? 5 Things You Need to Know

Ohio maybe the next state to make marijuana legal.

Hollywood has a love/hate relationship with marijuana.

With stoner movies such as Dave Chappelle’s Half Baked or Seth Rogen’s Pineapple Express, producers realize that there is a huge market out there for marijuana and weed inspired movies.

Especially, when there is a large number of legal weed pharmacies located throughout Los Angeles. A simple google search will tell you each and every weed shop and provide rankings on quality, design, safety, and other highlights.

Now, on November 3rd, Ohio may become the next state to make recreational marijuana use legal in the Buckeye State.

Issue 3 is will drastically change law enforcement especially in a country where police arrest 700,000 people a year and decreases black-market violence surrounding a drug that nearly 50% of American adults have used at least once.

If Ohio does choose to make marijuana legal, then the Buckeye State will become the fifth state in the country to legalize weed.

And according to reports, it looks like it is going to happen. According to a Kent State poll of registered voters, 58% of registered voters support all “legally possess small amounts of marijuana for personal use.”

Issue 3 will allow adults over the age of 21 to buy and carry up to an ounce of marijuana, and if they obtain a permit, the ability to grow up to eight ounces of weed for personal use.

But, there is controversy surrounding the legalization of marijuana in Ohio. As The Daily Beast points out, “Marijuana Growth, Cultivation and Extraction” (MGCE), which gives a group of people the exclusive rights to sell and grow marijuana.

The controversy stems from Issue 3’s creation of 10 “Marijuana Growth, Cultivation and Extraction” (MGCE) facilities or growing zones. These would have a monopoly on commercial production within Ohio and the investors in the MCGEs are also the people promoting and paying for the Issue 3 campaign. The initiative precludes collusion among the commercial investors (who include figures ranging from singer Nick Lachey to basketball great Oscar Robertson) and also nixes any kind of vertical integration with the up to 1,100 retail stores that could be licensed to sell weed. As it does with liquor stores, the state government will limit the number of pot shops based on a county’s or city’s population.

“It’s disgusting to me,” the head of the pro-legalization group Ohioans to End Prohibition told the Cincinnati Enquirer. “The idea that any group or corporation has the exclusive right to grow marijuana and sell it. It’s not plutonium. It’s an agricultural commodity that should be regulated like one.”

ABC Soap Opera Star Severely Injured in Car Accident

One Life to Live star was critically injured in a car accident this weekend.

Actor, Nathaniel Marston, 40, could be paralyzed for the rest of his life as a result of injuries from an accident near Reno, Nevada on October 30th.

Marston is best known for his six-year appearances on the hit ABC soap opera “One Life to Live”.

According to reports, the actor was involved in a serious car accident on October 30th near Reno, Nevada. The accident may leave him paralyzed from the neck down.

“Please pray for my son Nathaniel Marston,” Nathaniel’s mother wrote on Saturday of her 40-year-old son. “He was in a car accident last night and is in the intensive care on life support. Back and neck broken in several places. Other internal injuries. Please pray that he will recover and walk again.”

In an update on Sunday, Nathaniel’s mother reported that his doctors had told her “In all likely hood if he lives he will be paralyzed from the neck down and will not breathe without a ventilator machine.”

Apparently, Marston suffered from a broken neck and shoulder, a collapsed lung, and fractured neck vertebrae.

“Halloween Purge” – 29 People Shot in Chicago on Halloween

Halloween Purge – One man killed and several people injured in a deadly Halloween weekend in Chicago

Many people are calling last Halloween weekend the Halloween Purge in Chicago, after 29 people were shot – including a 10 year-old boy – and one man was killed, according to Fox 32 Chicago.

The fatal shooting took place on Halloween night during an attempted robbery in the Southwest Side of Chicago.

Here is a small breakdown from the several shootings that occurred on Halloween weekend, from Fox 32 Chicago:

A man walked into a business that included a currency exchange in the 7200 block of West 51st Street about 7 p.m. and pulled out a gun, threatened the employee behind the counter and announced a robbery,

Reginald Gildersleeve, 55, of the 5000 block of South California, was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene at 7:10 p.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The 19-year-old man was on the sidewalk in the 8700 block of South Honore Street at 7:11 p.m. when a car drove by and someone inside fired shots before leaving the area. The man heard the shots and felt pain, police said. He suffered a gunshot wound to the left leg, and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition, police said.

About two hours earlier, two 16-year-old boys were shot in a third Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood shooting. The boys were shot in the 7300 block of South Woodlawn Avenue at 10:47 a.m., when they were approached by a group of people. One person from the group shot at the boys, and then the group ran away, police said. One of the boys suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where his condition was stabilized. The other boy, who is a gang member, suffered a graze wound to the leg, and he refused medical attention at the scene.

These shootings come as the FBI warned police across the country of a possible uprising against the police. According to the FBI report, the extremist group, which is known as the National Liberation Militia, has proposed “Halloween Revolt” that encourages followers to cause anarchy, attract the police and then viciously attack them.

The FBI reports that the members are being told to wear regular Halloween masks and use weapons such as bricks, guns, and bottles.

While it is not clear if these shootings are related to this possible terrorist warning, it is clear that many people in Chicago are afraid.

Mathew Shawnee, 21, a resident, told the reporters:

I saw few guys dressed up, and then they open fire and hit a pair of women, including one who appeared to have been shot in the face, and a kid.

The Walking Dead didn’t say if Glenn is alive which pissed off thousands of fans.

Fans go fast and furious after last week’s cliffhanger goes unsolved in last Sunday’s episode.

The 90-minute episode, which basically highlighted Morgan’s backstory, didn’t share any details surrounding Glenn’s death which made fans furious.

AMC removed Steven Yeun from the opening credits of The Walking Dead. It was the first time that Yeun, an original series regular on the hit TV series, did not appear in the title sequence since the show first aired nearly eight years ago.

The Walking Dead has a history of removing actor’s name from the opening credits after their on-screen death. Sunday’s episode also featured the names of all the series regulars but, this time without Steven Yeun’s name. And even though [spoiler alert] Glenn is probably not killed off, removing him from the credits is probably The Walking Dead’s way of messing with their fans.

Jamie Foxx Defends Quentin Tarantino: “Keep Speaking the Truth”

Jamie Foxx has decided to defend his friend and Django Unchained co-star, Quentin Tarantino following the director’s recent police comments.

Jamie Foxx took the stage on Sunday during the Hollywood Film Awards. He decided to support Tarantino who has been facing harsh criticism from police unions and political conservatives after attending an anti-police violence rally.

Jamie Foxx told the audience for Quentin Tarantino to “Keep telling the truth, keep speaking the truth and don’t worry about none of the haters.”

Jamie Foxx recently made the comments as he was presenting an award to the cast and crew for Tarantino’s new movie The Hateful Eight. Despite, Jamie Foxx bringing the issue to the forefront, the cast of the film avoided any controversy and didn’t respond to Foxx’s comments.

The controversy surrounding Tarantino started when the director attended a rally protesting police brutality in New York City.

Tarantino told the crowd, according to reports, that “when I seen murders, I do not stand by … I have to call a murder a murder and I have to call the murderers the murderers.”

The Pulp Fiction’s comments caused police unions across the country to boycott all of Quentin Tarantino’s movies including the upcoming feature film The Hateful Eight. 

According to the New York Post, Harvey Weinstein, the studio executive behind The Hateful Eight, is reportedly upset with the director and is calling for Tarantino to apologize.

According to TheWrap, Quentin Tarantino is expected to apologize later on this week.
