Kevin Smith is one of the most powerful voices in the comic book industry. His analysis is usually spot on, and I personally value his opinion. In this case, I can’t tell if he is joking or he’s being serious. It has been rumored that Ice Cube will be cast as J. Jonah Jameson in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but if that falls through it would not surprise me to see Ice Cube in the mix for John Stewart for the Green Lantern Corps movie in 2020.

KFC is offering edible, chicken-flavored nail polish.
KFC is an extremely popular American fast-food restaurant and is now expanding to Hong Kong with a new product, Edible, chicken-flavored nail polish.
“It tastes like chicken,” Anna Mugglestone, told the New York Times. “It’s crazy. I don’t know how they do it.”
So how do they do it? Apparently, with the help from food technologists at the same company that provides KFC with a “secret mix” of 11 herbs and spices used in their real food. Another executive with the agency assures Adweek that the polishes are “sourced from natural ingredients.
As proof, KFC took to Facebook to ask which flavor the public would prefer when the nail polish eventually comes to market: Hot & Spicy or Original Recipe. The response appears overwhelming to be the “Wow” reaction emoji, which probably means, “Wow, why would you even make this?”

Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson addressed the controversy about giving Asian roles to white actors, and it’s pretty amazing.
After it was announced that Tilda Swinton would play the traditionally Asian “Ancient One” character in the upcoming Marvel Studios movie, many actors, models and Asian Americans were infuriated and in a matter of a few days #WhiteWashedOut started going viral.

Robert Downey Jr says Iron Man would support Hillary Clinton.
Captain America: Civil War hits theaters this weekend and Robert Downey Jr. is stepping inside the ring of another major war, the upcoming American Presidential election. And he believes Tony Stark would prefer Hillary Clinton as president of the United States.
The actor revealed his thoughts on his superhero character during a promotional appearance for Civil War on The Howard Stern Show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
“I believe Tony, being a budding feminist, he would say it’s time to have some feminine energy in the White House,” Downey said. Asked if that could be taken as a sign that Tony Stark supports Clinton, he confirmed, “He does.”

But, did you know he was discovered by Steven Spielberg at a Bat Mitzvah. The 26-year-old actor, who was last seen in the movie Hail Caesar!, has been cast as the young hero Han Solo in the upcoming standalone movie.
On Thursday evening, the news broke that Alden Ehrenreich will play the younger version of Han Solo in a Han Solo prequel movie. The upcoming Star Wars spinoff, is set to be released on May 25, 2018 and will be directed by the Lego Movie duo, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.
The top-secret movie was announced back in 2013 and had reportedly been operating under the working title of “Project Red Cup,” after the red Solo cups. And the search for the young version of Han Solo was pretty extensive as rumors circulated that nearly every actor in Hollywood auditioned for the role. Then, Variety published a list of actors who made the studio’s shortlist for the role including, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Dave Franco, Jack Reynor, Scott Eastwood, Emory Cohen, Logan Lerman, and Blake Jenner. Then in April, it was announced it came down to Taron Egerton, Ehrenreich and Jack Reynor.
The executive producer of the movie spoke about the upcoming feature film in an Empire Film podcast last year, saying: “I think it won’t be the thing you’re worried about. It will not be like, here is where he was born and this is how he was raised. I think what it will be is what was he like 10 years earlier, ya know, maybe a little earlier you’ll get a glimpse, but…what formed the person we meet in the cantina? It is not so much about his specific history. It is about what makes a person like that? He’s not full-formed in the cantina! Kurosawa once said, ‘The heroes are the ones that are still changing and the villains are locked and petrified into what they are,’ and Harrison [Ford] embodies in Force Awakens someone that’s still not settled on who he is.”
Disney CEO Bog Iger confirmed that the Han Solo standalone movie “is an origin story about Han Solo and Chewie.”
But, the most interesting part of the story is how Ehrenreich was discovered. At 14, he made a home movie for his friend’s bat mitzvah, which was played during the ceremony. Steven Spielberg just happened to be there and his daughter Sasha was friends with the guest of honor.
“It’s a piece of shit,” the actor later told Rolling Stone. “It’s a video that this girl asked us to do. I mean, there wasn’t a script: We would go and just film whatever made us laugh. I’m this 14-year-old, skinny little kid with long hair. I break into her house, try on her clothes and make up a song. All of this is just us literally taking a camera and going like, ‘Okay, ha ha, do this.’ We showed it to our parents—‘We’re gonna play this at her bat mitzvah!’—and they were like, ‘You look like an idiot in this. I don’t think you should really do that.’ We didn’t care.”
Steven Spielberg was impressed with Ehrenreich’s performance that Spielberg arranged a meeting at his studio, Dreamworks. He later introduced him to filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, who gave Ehrenreich his first acting job, casting him in the lead role in the 2009 movie, Tetro. While the movie fizzled in the box office, Ehrenreich’s acting was praised by critics. In fact, Roger Ebert wrote, “In his first major role, Alden Ehrenreich, the newcomer playing Bennie, is confident and charismatic, and inspires such descriptions as ‘the new Leonardo DiCaprio.’”
When asked by reporters in January, JJ Abrams gave some valuable advice to Ehrenreich saying, “Watch Raiders of the Lost Ark,” he said. “It’ll all be right there.”
Timbaland is creating his own musical based on his life, Opera Noir.
Timbaland is one of the most powerful and popular hip-hop artist and music producer in the world. He has helped make music for superstars such as Jay-Z, Kanye West, Katy Perry and Justin Timberlake. He is also known for making, developing and producing the music on Fox’s hit musical drama Empire. Now, he is taking his talents to create an autobiographical musical called “Opera Noir,” based on his upcoming final album.
According to reports, the musical will center around a young musician’s rise in the music industry and the hardships along the way including poverty, substance abuse and crime.
“Tim’s unbelievable candor about his experiences and difficult past help illustrate one of the most epic success stories in the industry,” said Leftfield CEO and “Opera Noir” executive producer David George in a statement. “We’re fortunate to be part of the ‘grand finale’ of an artist whose innovative and inspiring musical contributions have helped shape the business and will influence artists for years to come.”
Ryan Murphy is creating a new series for FX starring Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon. According to reports, the series will be called Feud and will focus on famous fights. The first season will focus on Joan Crawford and Bette Davis’ hatred towards each other on the set of “What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?” Lange will star as Crawford with Sarandon playing Davis. Despite onset issues, the two legendary actresses would later go on to secure five Oscar nominations in 1962.

Looking for your next audition? Casting directors are now casting talent to be flown to Paris to be part of a video for an International sports organization. Casting directors are looking for fit male actors to work on this educational video for an major sports organization. Talents that are selected will be compensated “€600+ in total, client will cover flights from DUBLIN, accommodation, food & daily per diem”
Filming will take place on Wednesday, May 11th through Saturday, May 14th in Paris, France.

We are looking for an actor who has a good physique!
It is an educational video for an International Sports Organisation. The video will have global viewership. The video will be compered by an International Sports commentator!

REQUIREMENTS
GENDER & AGE: Male – Aged 18 to 30
ACTING: Significant acting experience required (50 different sections of dialogue in the short video)
LOOK: Need to have physique of an ELITE rugby player
SKIN: Open to ALL skin colours – we are looking for real diversity in the looks of those submitting
RUGBY: Rugby experience not a necessity but would be advantageous. Must be comfortable passing a rugby ball 🙂
PASSPORT: Must have a valid passport for travel to FRANCE
VIDEO
LOCATION: Shooting in PARIS, FRANCE on Wed May 11th to Sat May 14th, inclusive of travel.
