CBS posted a preview clip for Dave Chappelle’s first Late show interview in ten years and it is amazing.

David Letterman asks Dave Chappelle the question the world has been wondering for years now. What happened to the Chappelle’s Show?

Chappelle answered simply by saying, “Listen, here it is…Technically, I never quit. I’m seven years late for work.”

Does that mean there’s more Chappelle’s Show episodes coming in the near future?

Chappelle has been keeping it very low key ever since the end of the show. Following the third season, Chappelle had an interview with Oprah in 2006 after traveling to South Africa. There were reports that he planned on going back to the show but, he was unsure. However, Comedy Central decided to release the “lost season” and removed any chance of the show returning.

But, it was probably for the better. The comedian and actor commented that he was getting burned out by the work, and he found it more comfortable on the stage, without the problem of Comedy Central executives dictating what he can and cannot do.

This looks like a great and promising interview.

The trailer features everything you would expect in a Dumb and Dumber sequel, catheter jokes, elderly sex, and fireworks.

Dumb and Dumber To will center on 20 years after the dimwits set out on their first adventure, they head out in search of one of their long lost children in the hope of gaining a new kidney (IMDB). 

Carrey and Daniels reprise their roles of Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne, the daft duo at the center of the films. Bobby and Peter Farrelly, who wrote and directed the first film, will co-direct and co-produce the sequel.

“Bolden!” The Movie Casting Call for Featured Roles in Atlanta

‘Bolden!’ the movie is currently seeking extras in Atlanta, Georgia.

Recounting the jazzy life story of legendary cornet player Buddy Bolden, the film began its initial production in early 2007. It is the passion project of Hyatt Hotels heir and writer/director Dan Pritzker, who has reportedly funneled millions into the film.

Anthony Mackie (“The Hurt Locker”) originally was featured in the title role but will be recast before filming restarts, according to Star News Online.

Pritzker will reshoot all the scenes with the main character now played by a new actor.

According to IMDB, Bolden! features Jackie Earle Haley, Omari Hardwick, and Michael Rooker

Casting directors are looking for a core group that will work regularly on set starting August until mid-October.

Netflix Original Series Casting Call in New York City

Netflix Original series is seeking women to play female inmates in a production filming in New York City.

Details surrounding this production have not been released, however, according to Marvel.com, Marvel is filming several original Netflix series in New York City starting this summer.

“Hysteria” centers on Dr. Logan Harlow, an exceptionally bright, driven, complicated, charming but socially awkward neurologist/psychiatrist at the University of Texas Medical School who travels to her hometown of Austin to investigate a mysterious epidemic among high school girls that may be spreading through technology.

Dr. Logan Harlow is played by Mena Suvari from “American Beauty”.

“Hysteria” hails from Invasion creator Shaun Cassidy, Alcon Entertainment and Universal Television.

FOX’s “Sleepy Hollow” Casting Call for Hunters in North Carolina

FOX’s ‘Sleepy Hollow’ Season 2 posted a casting call for a male actor for a featured role.

This modern-day twist on Washington Irving’s classic, ICHABOD CRANE (Tom Mison, “Salmon Fishing in the Yemen”) is resurrected and pulled two and a half centuries through time to unravel a mystery that dates all the way back to the founding fathers. Revived alongside Ichabod is the infamous Headless Horseman who is on a murderous rampage in present-day Sleepy Hollow. Ichabod quickly realizes that stopping Headless is just the beginning, as the resurrected rider is but the first of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and only one of the many formidable foes that Ichabod must face to protect not only Sleepy Hollow, but the world (FOX).

These 3 Actors Are the Only Actors That Increase How Much a Movie Makes

Only 4 actors in Hollywood affect how much a movie will make, three of them increase it, while one female actress decreases the value of a movie.

Life is being directed more and more by mathematical calculations than by intuition or desires, and the entertainment industry is no exception.

In an article in The Economist, author Tom Whipple, examined the effects of algorithms- a process or set of rules to be followed in calculations. It is is used in various industries including the entertainment industry. The article in the Economist argues that movie stars are paid luxurious salaries because a mathematical equation tells them to.

According to movie-analysis software, there are only three actors who make money for a film and there is at least one A-list actress who is worth not paying not to star in a feature film.

Here is how they do it.

Epagogix, is a movie-analysis company that analyzes how well a movie will do. When they are first given a job by a studio, the first thing that they they do is put a numerical value on thousands of factors, drawn from the script. For example,  “Are there clear bad guys? How much empathy is there with the protagonist? Is there a sidekick?”

These factors are then inputted into a computer and 83% of the time they are right.

According to his studies, a majority of the time it does not matter who stars in the feature film. Irrespective if it is George Clooney, Tom Cruise, or Robert DeNiro. 

There are only four exceptions to his rules. If you hire Will Smith, Brad Pitt or Johnny Depp, you will make a larger return on your movie in comparison to other Hollywood A-Listers.

However, there is one actress who cannot be named, if she added to a movie, she actually causes a negative influence on a movie. “It’s very sad for her,” he says. But hers is a name he cannot reveal.”

Algorithms are everywhere, from Amazon, to Netflix, to Pizza Hut. Algorithms decide what would be the best route during rush hour traffic, what book you should read, what you should buy at Best Buy.

But, it is interesting to note that despite Hollywood promoting certain A-List actors in big budget movies, they have no financial effect and do not change the fact whether or not someone will see a movie. But, what does matter is the quality, and content of a movie, not the name of the actor.

LeBron James’ basketball comedy ‘Survivor’s Remorse’ reveals their first Starz’ Teaser.

Starz released the first trailer for its new scripted comedy series, “Survivor’s Remorse“, which shows an inside look into the world of professional basketball.

The half-hour series centers on a newly signed professional basketball player, Cam Calloway played by Jessie Usher as he tries to balance success, relationships, and family.

The show is produced by LeBron James, Tom Werner, Mike O’Malley, Maverick Carter and Paul Watcher.

Filming is currently taking place in Atlanta, Georgia.

Hylton Casting is seeking extras for various roles in the television series.

FX will Support Tracy Morgan, “His Show Will Be Waiting for Him”

FX supports Tracy Morgan and says “his show will be waiting for him” when he recovers.

Tracy’s Morgan‘s horrific car accident the past weekend raise a lot of questions about the future of his 10-episode FXX series, which was set to begin production this August for a premeire in January.

But, FX Networks have announced that they will stand by the actor.

The only thing we are concerned with is the health and recovery of Tracy Morgan and the victims of this tragic accident. We will support Tracy and his family in every way possible throughout his recovery. At the point when Tracy has recovered and decides that he is ready to go back to work, his show will be waiting for him. Right now our thoughts and prayers remain with Tracy, the other victims of the accident, and their families.

Tracy Morgan has been in critical condition and recently underwent surgery on his leg following a car crash early Saturday morning that killed Morgan’s friend, mentory, and comedy writer James McNair.

Kevin Roper, the Walmart truck driver who drove into the back of a limo carrying Tracy Morgan early Saturday Morning, had not slept in at least 24 hours by the time of the accident.

Walmart president recently said in a statement that the company “will take full responsibility” if it’s ruled that Walmart’s truck caused the accident.

‘That 70’s Show’ Star, Husband Sues Rehab for Wrongful Death

‘That 70’s Show’ Star died from a multiple drug overdose, now her husband is filing suit.

Lisa Robin Kelly died in August after entering a rehab facility. The troubled actress who played Laurie Forman on the FOX series, “That 70’s Show,” died of a multiple drug intoxication, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s department.

Kelly was 43 when she passed away in August 2013, after entering a rehab facility to fight her drug addiction. Her rehab was preceded by a history of legal and substance-abuse.

Prior to checking into the rehab facility, Kelly was replaced on “That 70’s Show” for the series sixth season, she made national news for her erratic behavior and was arrested in 2012 for assaulting her husband.

The charges were eventually dropped, but she did tell “Good Morning America” that she had developed a drinking problem after suffering a miscarriage.

“I had lost a baby, and as a result of that, I lost everything, and I was abusing alcohol, which I no longer do,” Kelly, who claimed to be sober for three months at the time of the interview, said. “With ‘That ’70s Show,’ I was guilty of the drinking problem and I ran. And I am not running from this. And I have paid my dues. And if I can make it through this, I can make it through anything.”

Now, her husband claims that Lisa Robin Kelly died from negligent care. In a wrongful death lawsuit filed in superior court in Los Angeles on Monday, Robert Gilliam says that facility Pax House and its operators, “carelessly and negligently owned, managed and operated the subject facility and/or were negligent in the hiring, retention, training, and supervision of their agents, employees, servants, and/or independent contractors whom they assigned to care for patients.”

The lawsuit claims that Kelly was “neglected in for an unreasonable amount of time” while at the facility.

Due to Kelly’s death, the lawsuit says, Gilliam has “sustained damages resulting from the loss of love, affection, society, comfort, support, right of support, expectations of future support and counseling, companionship, solace and mental support.”

Disney’s Lion King is Getting a Sequel, ‘Lion Guard’

Disney is currently in production for a ‘Lion King’ sequel, ‘Lion Guard’

The Lion Guard is Disney’s sequel to the nearly billion dollar-grossing Lion King, feature film.

According to Deadline, production for the sequel, has started his week. The new production will be aimed at youngsters and families, and the new made-for-TV movie is expected to premiere in fall 2015, with a spin-off for early 2016 on the Disney Channel and Disney JR.

The Lion Guard centers on Kion, the second born cub of Simba and Nala. Kion takes the role as the leader of the Lion Guard, the bravest ands martest lions whose job is to preserve the Pride lands. Instead of assempling a team of young lions, Kon goes in a different direction by gathering a diverse group of firends, Bunga, a honey badger, Fuli, a confident cheetah, Behste, a hippo, and Ono, an egret.

Stories will include appearances from all of the Lion King favorites including, Mufasa, Timon, Pumbaa, Rafiki, Zazu and Kion’s older sister Kiara.

‘Lion Guard‘ and series were developed by Ford Riley from Special Agent Oso. Howy Parkins will direct the production with Christopher Willis working as the composer in the production.

Few if any entertainment brands can match The Lion King, which has grossed $987.4 million globally since its release two decades ago. The Tony Award-winning musical is the highest grossing Broadway production in history, with the North American tour and the Broadway show each surpassing $1 billion in ticket sales and global ticket sales surpassing $5 billion worldwide from 22 productions.
