Showtime’s ‘Billions’ New York Casting Call for a Wedding Scene

Showtime’s BILLIONS season 5 is now casting extras for a wedding scene in New York City.

Casting directors are now hiring actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming on November 6th through the 8th in New York City.

Producers are seeking the following types:

  • Grant Wilfley Casting is still seeking SAGAFTRA/NON-UNION Native American Actors or those who can portray Native American to play Wedding Guests on Showtime’s Billions!
  • We are also looking for people who have experience dancing (ballroom, swing, current music, etc for wedding dances!)

About Billions:

 Wealth, influence, and corruption collide in this drama set in New York. Shrewd U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades is embroiled in a high-stakes game of predator vs. prey with Bobby Axelrod, an ambitious hedge-fund king. To date, Rhoades has never lost an insider trading case — he’s 81-0 — but when criminal evidence turns up against Axelrod, he proceeds cautiously in building the case against Axelrod, who employs Rhoades’ wife, psychiatrist Wendy, as a performance coach for his company. Wendy, who has been in her position longer than Chuck has been in his, refuses to give up her career for her husband’s legal crusade against Axelrod. Both men use their intelligence, power, and influence to outmaneuver the other in this battle over billions. Lopez’s character proceeds to have a meltdown on stage and then picks a random guy from the audience to say “I do” instead. The movie’s cast includes Owen Wilson and Colombian hit singer Maluma. A release date has not been announced yet. The new movie is based on a graphic novel by Bobby Crosby. The film is getting produced by Universal Pictures, though STX .

“We continue to have amazing experiences with Jennifer, Elaine [Goldsmith-Thomas] and Benny [Medina] with each film we collaborate on, and we’re thrilled that they wanted to work with STX again on this funny and endearing project,” STX films chairman Adam Fogelson said in April, according to Variety. “Owen Wilson is a hilarious and charismatic addition to the film, and the perfect person to play opposite Jen in a role that was quite literally made for her.”

Details for the project have not been released. However, according to reports, the upcoming “Suicide Squad” feature film is filming under the code name “El Dorado”. It’s currently unknown what the story will revolve around, but this title could give us a little clue.

James Gunn

James Gunn will work as the writer and director for “The Suicide Squad” and will follow David Ayer’s 2016 film “Suicide Squad”. However, instead of being a sequel to the Ayer production, this is described as a new perspective to the franchise from the mind of Gunn that will feature a mix of new and old characters.

Viola Davis is coming back to play Amanda Waller, while Margot Robbie is set to reprise her role of Harley Quinn. Jai Courtney and Joel Kinnaman will be returning to play Captain Boomerang and Rick Flagg, respectively.

That said, Idris Elba will be replacing Will Smith but will play a new character and not Deadshot. Deadshot has been written out of the movie but may return in the future with Will Smith returning.

David Gordon Green is returning to helm Halloween Kills as well as the third installment, Halloween Ends.

Universal and Blumhouse’s Halloween reboot movie opened to $76.2 million. It is the highest opening in the franchise’s history. The film ended up earning over $255 million globally and $159 million in the U.S. on a budget in the $10 million range.
