About ‘Halloween Kills’:

According to reports, the sequel to “Halloween”, “Halloween Kills”, is now filming under the production title “Mob Rules”. “Halloween Kills” is set to be the sequel to the 2018 movie which saw the return of Jamie Lee Curtis. David Gordon Green is returning to helm Halloween Kills as well as the third installment, Halloween Ends.

Universal and Blumhouse’s Halloween reboot movie opened to $76.2 million. It is the highest opening in the franchise’s history. The film ended up earning over $255 million globally and $159 million in the U.S. on a budget in the $10 million range.

The film titled JUDAS & THE BLACK MESSIAH (formerly JESUS WAS MY HOMEBOY) is preparing to shoot in Cleveland this fall.

Daniel Kaluuya and his Get Out co-star Lakeith Stanfield to star in Jesus Was My Homeboy, a production that tells the true story of Fred Hampton, a Black Panther revolutionary, and activist who was assassinated in 1969.

Daniel Kaluuya will play Fred Hampton, an Illinois-born honors student who was active in the NAACP, brokered a non-aggression pact between two of Chicago’s gangs, coined the phrase “rainbow coalition,” and rose to prominence in the Black Panther Party on both the state and national level. Hampton was assassinated by the FBI and the Chicago Police Department at age 21 during a raid on his apartment.

Lakeith Stanfield will play William O’Neal, a car thief who had his charges dropped by becoming an FBI informant who worked his way into the Black Panthers, eventually becoming Hampton’s bodyguard and turning over a detailed layout of Hampton’s apartment to the authorities, which ultimately contributed to Hampton’s assassination. This film is said to “look at the rise and death of Hampton through O’Neal’s perspective.”

‘Dolittle’ Starring Robert Downey Jr. Movie Trailer is Here (VIDEO)

Maybe due to Eddie Murphy’s fantastic performance in the comedic ‘Dr. Doolittle’ movie, Universal has decided for a new pace and tone of a doctor in the upcoming feature film ‘Dolittle.’ Robert Downey Jr. plays the famous British veterinarian for the new movie. The movie changes from the comedy of the 1998 film for a fantasy theme, which is more closely following the original book series ’Doctor Dolittle.’

According to Universal, the new movie follows Dr. Dolittle seven years after the death of his wife. Despite not wanting to leave the safety of his Dolittle Manor, he goes on an adventure to find a cure to heal the young queen after she gets mysteriously ill. Dolittle is joined by a group of his animal friends, including a nervous gorilla (Rami Malek), the optimistic polar bear (John Cena), chirpy giraffe (Selena Gomez), glasses-wearing otter (Tom Holland) and chatty parrot (Emma Thompson).

The director of ‘Traffic,’ Stephen Gaghan, directs the movie, which also includes Antonio Banderas, Ralph Fiennes, Marion Cotillard, Octavia Spencer, and many more.

Will Smith’s ‘Gemini Man’ Flops at the Box Office

Will Smith’s ‘Gemini Man’ Flops at the Box Office

‘Joker’ is unstoppable in the box office, while Will Smith‘s ‘Gemini Man‘ struggles.

For the second weekend in a row, the DC drama will earn $55 million in total, giving the feature film a grand total of $192.7 million.

This is quite shocking considering it’s an R-rated comic book movie, which is extremely dark in tone. But, that has not stopped regular moviegoers and comic book fans from enjoying Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker. Apparently, the movie’s strong word of mouth is pushing the movie to surpass “It: Chapter Two” as Warner Bros.’ highest-grossing movie of 2019.

‘Joker’ is set to pass ‘Logan’, which was the last R-Rated comic book drama. ‘Logan’ earned $226 million comic and $619 million worldwide. Overseas, ‘Joker’ remained strong giving it a two-weekend global total of $543.9 million.

Meanwhile, ‘The Addams’ family did pretty well in the box office with $30.3 million from 4,007 screens. The film was expected to earn around $25 million.

Will Smith’s Georgia-filmed production ‘Gemini Man’, which cost $140 million to make, opened to around $20.5 million. The movie, which centers around Will Smith as a younger version of himself, is the second film directed by And Lee to struggle at the box office. Despite groundbreaking movie technology, critics bashed the movie as it currently has a 27% Rotten Tomatoes score.

Lee’s previous film ‘Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk’, which also filmed in Georgia, also bombed in the box office. That movie only made $30 million against a $40 million budget. To avoid being a total catastrophe, Will Smith’s ‘Gemini Man’ will have do extremely well overseas, particularly in China, where Lee is the country’s most popular filmmakers. The movie earned $31 million from 58 markets this weekend for a global total of $59 million, with a China release set for next weekend.

In other related news, Joaquin Phoenix is up for doing a ‘Joker’ sequel.

The actor had an interview with Popcorn with Peter Travers, where he told said he’s dead serious for another movie so they can see just what happens next with Joker.

“I wouldn’t have thought of this as my dream role,” Phoenix said. “But now, honestly, I can’t stop thinking about it.

“I talked to [director] Todd a lot about what else we might be able to do, in general, just working together, but also specifically, if there’s something else we can do with Joker that might be interesting.

“So, it ended up being a dream role. It’s nothing that I really wanted to do prior to working on this movie.”

There was some doubt about whether Phoenix would want to participate in another ‘Joker’ project. However, director Todd Phillips told Total Film: “One thing I will tell you: I would do anything with [Phoenix], any day of the week.
