Father of the Bride (Film) cast, casting calls, auditions, and news you should know.

Father of the Bride is arguably a classic comedy. Whether you have seen the original 1950 movie or the remake starring Steven Martin, Martin Short, Diane Keaton, and Kiernan Culkin. 

Now filming for the upcoming remake is now taking place in Atlanta, Georgia. The upcoming Father of the Bride remake will feature an Latinx cast and directed by Club de Cuervos director Gaz Alazraki.

Father of the Bride Cast?

There is no confirmed release date for the Father of The Bride movie. Two of the main roles announced for the film so far include Andy Garcia and Gloria Estefan. Garcia will be taking on the role of the father, and Estefan will play his wife and mother of the bride. Garcia has been a leading actor for decades appearing inmoives like Ocean’s Eleven and When a Man Loves a Woman. Estefan has several acting gigs but is mostly known for her mega-music career.

The bride will be played by Adria Arjona. She had the role of Emily in the HBO crime series True Detective.

Father of the Bride plot?

Father of the Bride centers around the story of a father and his daughter’s upcoming wedding. The two previous versions of the movie featured a father who initially disapproves of his daughter’s choice for a husband, but eventually comes around. While dealing with the stress of wedding planning, he struggles with the reality his little girl is growing up. On top of that, the fear of losing his child, the father finds himself in one crazy situation after another.

Given the new remake Latinx cast, director, and screenwriter, we can expect this movie to have a more modern and diverse storyline.
