Training Video casting call for Hispanic men and Women in Virginia.

Casting directors are looking for Non-Union Hispanic males and females ages 25 to 35 for a training video that will film in Alexandria, Virginia.

Filming is scheduled for July 9th and 10th. Auditions will be held in Falls Church, Virginia on Wednesday, June 25, 2014.

FOX Batman Prequel Series, ‘Gotham’ Casting Call for Teens in New York City

FOX’s new TV series, “Gotham” is holding an open casting call for teenagers in New York City.

Grant Wilfley Casting is seeking teenagers interested in working as background extras on the new FOX series GOTHAM.

The new TV series is based upon the Batman universe. Gotham, centers on the origin stories of Commissioner Jones Gordon played by Ben McKenzie, as a rookie detective in Gotham City, and Bruce Wayne after the death of his parents, and the villains that made Gotham City infamous.
Jada Pinkett Smith has also been cast to play Fish Mooney, a imposing, sadistic gangster boss and nightclub owner with street smarts.
The series is written and executive produced by The Mentalist show runner Bruno Heller.

Casting directors are looking for teenagers ages 13 to 17. Filming begins in New York in July.

An open casting call will be held on Wednesday, June 25 from 10:30a-12p for SAG-AFTRA members and 1-5pm for NONUNION at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 328 W 14th St, New York, NY 10014.

Te Ata Thompson Movie Open Casting Call for several roles in the movie.

Casting Directors will be holding an open casting call and auditions in throughout the country for the new feature film based on the life of Chicksaww performer and storyteller Te Ata Thompson.

Te Ata Thompson Fisher, whose name means Bearer of the Dawn, was born December 3, 1895, near Emet, Oklahoma. Her career as an actor and storyteller spanned more than 60 years and led her to perform in England and Scandinavia, at the White House for President Roosevelt, for the King and Queen of Great Britain, and on stages across the United States.

Auditions are open to everyone who may fit one of the roles but, casting directors are especially looking for Native American actors/actresses to appear in the movie.

Have you ever wondered how to format your acting resume? Do you want to learn what your resume should look like as an actor? Well have no fear, here are some tips from the SAG-AFTRA, the official union for actors like Tom Cruise, Will Smith, and Brad Pitt on how to format your acting resume. 

Here's What your Acting Resume Should Look Like

The image below shows what your resume should look like. But basically, your resume is your first chance to tell the casting director, director, producer, and production assistant that you are worth their attention. It may be the headshot that draws the producer’s attention, but it’s your resume that showcases your abilities, achievements, and illustrates your level of professionalism, dedication, and experience.

How can I make my acting resume stand out?

Typically, a casting director will spend only a few seconds looking at your resume. Therefore, it is important to highlight upon your major accomplishments.

What should I do, If I don’t have acting experience?

But, what do you do if you don’t have a lot of experience? Well, according to Melissa McQueen of the Kim Dawson Agency, “being referred by a casting director, respected acting instructor or producer who has hired the talent is a good way to present yourself in the best light.”

Should your acting resume have special fonts and colors?

Are you deciding to spend a lot of time with a fancy layout? Well Don’t. Casting director Don Shaner says, simple, easy to read, clean, straight information is best. Leave the fancy texts and colors alone.

Should you put extra work on your acting resume? Yes, unless you live in Los Angeles.

According to Paul Weber from the Casting Society of America (CSA) he argues that you “Don’t list extra work on your resume unless you are a regional actor in a regional market. Producers shooting in your state like to know that you have worked on a set. But, when you move to Los Angeles, drop all of your extra credits. They won’t help you here.”

“Ashby” Starring Mickey Rourke, Emma Roberts and Sarah Silverman is now casting extras in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Tona B. Dahlquist is currently casting extras  those interested in working as extras in Tony McNamara’s upcoming comedy-drama ASHBY, set to starMickey Rourke (The Wrestler, Iron Man 2), Nat Wolff (The Fault in our Stars, The Naked Brothers Band), Emma Roberts (We’re The Millers, Palo Alto) and Sarah Silverman (A Million Ways To Die In The West). 

The comedy-drama Ashby follows the relationship between a high school student, to be played by Nat Wolff , and a retired CIA assassin who only has months to live.

Casting directors are looking for guys to play prep-school students in the upcoming movie filming in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Producers are looking for people to play preps and jocks. All talents should be between 17 to 22 years old and casting directors are considering all ethnicities.

FOX’s ‘Sleepy Hollow’ Season 2 Casting Call for TWO Featured Roles

FOX ‘Sleepy Hollow’posted a casting call seeking African American actors as well as a stand-in for a leading actress in the TV series.

This modern-day twist on Washington Irving’s classic, ICHABOD CRANE (Tom Mison, “Salmon Fishing in the Yemen”) is resurrected and pulled two and a half centuries through time to unravel a mystery that dates all the way back to the founding fathers. Revived alongside Ichabod is the infamous Headless Horseman who is on a murderous rampage in present-day Sleepy Hollow. Ichabod quickly realizes that stopping Headless is just the beginning, as the resurrected rider is but the first of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and only one of the many formidable foes that Ichabod must face to protect not only Sleepy Hollow, but the world (FOX).

CBS Under the Dome is based on Stephen King’s bestselling novel about a small town that is suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by a massive transparent dome.

First photo of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ star Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey is finally revealed.

Focus features has released the first photo of actor Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey in the upcoming big screen version of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’.

The photo offers the world a quick glimpse at all the upcoming hot and steamy action the movie is expected to provide. The movie version of Fifty Shades of Grey is officially started filming in Vancouver, Canada in December of last year.

Producers for the upcoming feature film commented on Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan relationship stating that the stars of the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey Movie have genuine chemistry.

“The chemistry is there, they genuinely like each other,” Michael De Luca told E! “They’re enjoying the story, the story is so powerful.” Another source added that they’ve “filmed a majority of the sex scenes and really hit it off.”

However, those explicit scenes in the book,  they’ll be “less racy than the book.”  According to MovieFone.com, “They felt it would be too much, so they have dialed those scenes back,” said the source.

The USA network describes the series by answering the question, “What do you do when having it all is not enough?” by delving into their shocking and unconventional choices.

Matrix Creators, Netflix Series ‘Sense8’ Kids Casting Call in Chicago

The Wachowskis, the family that brought you The Matrix, comes Sense8, a secretive new Netflix series.

The new series is collaborated with Babylon 5‘s J. Michael Stracynski. According to TV Line, Sense8 will focus on eight characters from across the world, all connected by a very violent vision.

Each episode — shot in the UK, Seoul, Mumbai, Nairobi, Berlin, Mexico City, San Francisco and Chicago — will follow the characters’ separate stories, even as one entity tries to bring the octet together and another tries to kill them.

The eight dreams include “a closeted Mexican telenovela hunk, an Icelandic party girl, a German safe-cracker, a Korean businesswoman, an African bus driver and a transgender American blogger.”

A vision will most likely connect these characters. According to Io9, there are two visionaries who try to connect all of these people together. “The two sound like the yin and yang to this “vision.” One character is named Jonas, an African-American character who is allegedly the good guy. And his evil counterpart is named “Mr. Whispers.” One of them wants to unite the eight dreamers, the other wants to destroy them.”

CBS ‘Under the Dome‘ posted a casting call for a featured rolse in the second season of the hit TV series.

CBS Under the Dome is based on Stephen King’s bestselling novel about a small town that is suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by a massive transparent dome.

NCasting is looking for a Caucasian actress that is attractive, petite with blonde hair and in their 30’s to late 40’s. The talent must have acting abilities and be willing to have a cast member simulate giving you CPR.

Casting directors are also looking for families to appear in the series.

Filming is scheduled for June 18th, 19th and 25th in Wilmington, North Carolina.
