Netflix announced Friday that Luke Cage would not be getting a third season, just one week after the cancellation of Iron Fist.
The news came the same day Daredevil Season 3 premiered on the streaming platform.
“Unfortunately, Marvel’s Luke Cage will not return for a third season. Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is grateful to the dedicated showrunner, writers, cast and crew who brought Harlem’s Hero to life for the past two seasons, and to all the fans who have supported the series,” Netflix said in a statement provided to TheWrap.
According to The Wrap, the decision to cancel the show came down to “creative differences, and an inability to reach terms on a deal for a third season.”

At this time, Netflix has not said whether or not the characters from Luke Cage or Iron Fist will continue to appear on other Marvel Shows. That said, The Punisher and Jessica Jones have been renewed for a second and third season respectively.
Luke Cage hit Netflix in 2015 during the first season of Jessica Jones. The show would have its series, which premiered a year later.

Set to air on The CW, the new series was developed by Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage, and Sallie Patrick. It stars Grant Show as Blake Carrington, Nathalie Kelley as Cristal Flores, Elizabeth Gillies as Blake’s daughter Fallon, and James Mackay as his son Steven. The pilot, which was announced in September 2016, was ordered to series in May 2017. Dynasty will premiere on October 11, 2017.

About Doctor Sleep:

Doctor Sleep is based on the 2013 horror novel by Stephen King and is the sequel to his 1977 novel The Shining. King stated that it is a “return to balls-to-the-wall, keep-the-lights-on horror”. The book became a number one New York Times bestseller for print and ebook fiction, hardcover fiction, and ebook fiction. The novel also won the 2013 Bram Stoker Award for Best Novel.
The book centers around the events after The Shining. Danny Torrance remains psychologically traumatized as his mother Wendy slowly recovers from her injuries. Ghosts from the Overlook still want to find Danny and take his “shining” power. Dick Hallorann, the Overlook’s chef teaches Danny to create lockboxes in his mind to control the ghosts including the former Overlook owner Horace Derwent. The psychological trauma causes Dan to deal with anger and alcoholism. Dan spends years of his life drifting across the country until he decides to give up drinking. As a result, he develops psychic abilities that allow him to predict when someone is about to die, giving him the nickname “Doctor Sleep”.

This unscripted BUZZFEED video aims to showcase and celebrate the boundlessness of a child’s imagination by having them build lego with their parents.
Looking for:
One parent with his or her child. Parent: Mom or dad, ages 38 – 46. Child: Boy or girl, ages 8 to 12. Pairings can be of any variety, as long as one parent and one kid are featured: can be mom and daughter, mom and son, father and daughter, etc.
We want kids who have a natural affinity for building with their hands and familiarity with doing so using LEGO. They should read as genuine, dynamic, inquisitive, and conversational on-screen, with natural humour from their unfiltered responses. We want their parent to read as loving, good-natured, and warm.
*Pays approximately $250 per person if selected. No Audition or previous acting experience required. We will book through self tape only.
