The 40-Year-Old Virgin Movie Script

The 40-Year-Old Virgin is a 2005 American comedy film co-written and directed by Judd Apatow. The film, about a middle-aged man’s journey to finally have sex, was co-written by its lead star, Steve Carell, though the film itself features a great deal of improvised dialogue.

Andy Stitzer (Steve Carell) is the eponymous 40-year-old virgin; he is involuntarily celibate. He lives alone, and is somewhat childlike; he collects action figures, plays video games, and his social life seems to consist of watching Survivor with his elderly neighbors. He works in the stockroom at an electronics store called SmartTech. When a friend drops out of a poker game, Andy’s co-workers David (Paul Rudd), Cal (Seth Rogen), and Jay (Romany Malco) reluctantly invite Andy to join them. At the game, when conversation turns to past sexual exploits, Andy desperately makes up a story, but when he compares the feel of a woman’s breast to a “bag of sand”, he is forced to admit his virginity. Feeling sorry for him (but also generally mocking him), the group resolves to help Andy lose his virginity.

Blackberry and Robert Rodriguez ‘Project Green Screen’

0

Robert Rodriguez ‘Project Green Screen’

In his 10 Minute Film School, Robert Rodriguez tells students to stop dreaming and start doing. It’s something he knows a bit about.
He made his first movie aged 9. At 23, his $7,000 Sundance smash hit, El Mariachi, made him a legend of no-budget filmmaking. Since then, he’s gone from action flicks to grindhouse horror to family cinema, and mastered so many disciplines, he’s known as ‘the one-man film crew’.

Like all truly creative people, he’s always hungry for the next challenge and he never stops learning.

He’s reached out to fans before with the VISIONary Young Directors Contest and Grindhouse 101. Now he’s asking you to step up and help him tell a new kind of story.

Robert Rodriguez never stops. Director, writer, producer, editor, composer, he’s known as much for his hands-on creative approach as for hit movies like Sin City, Desperado and From Dusk till Dawn.

His latest boundary-pushing project enlists fans around the world, to help create an action-packed short film. The story so far? Two vigilante twin sisters on a secret mission.

Robert needs actors, writers and artists to complete each of the three acts. Watch his intro film:

Upload your performance for Act 1

First, we need an actor. It doesn’t matter if you’re a trained thespian or a total newcomer. (Most of El Mariachi’s cast had never acted before.)

Watch Robert’s brief below, read the script, learn your lines and shoot your scene. The winning video will be edited into the final cut of the film, so make sure you consider what you’re wearing and where you are, as well as the quality of your video and audio. Add your performance by 5pm GMT on Wednesday 3rd April and with a bit of movie magic Robert’s favourite will be dropped straight into the final film.

Or for a quick way to get your face in the film, go to Extras Wanted.

‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ Movie Script

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is a 2012 epic fantasy adventure film directed by Peter Jackson. It is the first of a three-part film adaptation of the 1937 novel The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien, to be followed by The Desolation of Smaug and There and Back Again, due for theatrical release in 2013 and 2014, respectively. The three films together will act as prequels to Jackson’s Lord of the Rings film trilogy.

The story is set in Middle-earth sixty years before The Lord of the Rings, and portions of the film are adapted from the appendices to Tolkien’s The Return of the King novel. An Unexpected Journey tells the tale of the hobbit Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), who is convinced by the wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen) to accompany thirteen dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) on a quest across Middle-earth to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from Smaug the dragon. The film premiered in New Zealand on 28 November 2012 and was released internationally from 12 December 2012.

The film’s screenplay was written by Peter Jackson, his longtime collaborators Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens (who also co-wrote The Lord of the Rings), and Guillermo del Toro, who was originally chosen to direct the film before leaving the project in 2010.

The Hobbit received mixed reviews, but has grossed over $1 billion at the box office, surpassing both The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers nominally. The film was nominated for three Academy Awards for Best Visual Effects, Best Production Design, andBest Makeup and Hairstyling. It was also nominated for three BAFTA Awards.

Right, right, right. Okay, okay. It’s all in good fun, all in good fun. Here’s some games here, and there’s, Get out! Get out! He was in my chair. Games, Games. Here’s some games. Games that want to get out, ha. See? More games. Games, they vegetize you. See? Bah! If you play the games you’re voluntarily taking a tranquilizer. I guess they gave you some chemical restraints, huh? Drugs! What’d they give you? Thorazine? Haldol? How much, how much?? Learn your drugs, know your dosages, it’s elementary. … Telephone call? That’s communication with the outside world. Doctors discretion. Uh-uh. Nah. Hey, if all these nuts could make just make phone calls, it would spread insanity oozing through telephone cables. Oozing to the ears of all these poor, sane people. Infecting them. Wackos everywhere, a plague of madness. In fact, very few Jim, Jim, very few of us here are actually mentally ill. I’m not saying you’re not mentally ill, for all I know you’re crazy as a loon. But that’s not why you’re here. That’s not why you’re here, that’s not why you’re here!! You’re here because of the system. There’s the television. It’s all right there. All right there. Look, listen, kneel, pray. Commercials. We’re not productive anymore. We don’t make things anymore. It’s all automated. What are we for then? We’re consumers. Yeah. Okay, okay, buy a lot of stuff, you’re a good citizen. But if you don’t buy a lot of stuff, if you don’t, what are you then I ask you? What? Mentally ill! Fact, Jim, fact. If you don’t buy things: toilet paper, new cars, computerized blenders, electric operated sexual devices, stereo systems with brain implanted headphones, screwdrivers with miniature built in radar devices, voice activated computers! … Right. That’s right. You’re a very attractive woman. Ha! So, uh, you want to watch a television show, you go to the charge nurse, you tell her the day, the time, the show you want to see. But you have to tell her before the show comes on. There was this guy, and he was always requesting shows that had already played. Yes! No! You have to tell her before. He couldn’t quite grasp the idea that the charge nurse couldn’t make it be yesterday, you can’t turn back time, thank you Einstein. Now he, he was nuts! He was a fruit cake Jim!

DNA Models – The Model Talent Agency

0

Only a handful of agency owners actually sit on the booking board daily, plugging away in the trenches for their models. David Bonnouvrier does this and this is an important factor. Even fewer agencies have relationships that go back a decade with some of the most influential power players in the industry and again Bonnouvrier has this in spades.

Add to that the ruthless drive and ambition of a booking table packed with killer agents like Didier Fernandez and what you have is a shop pulsing with raw ambition. Decisions have been made by this agency over the past several years that have posted spectacular results. From runway to editorials to campaigns, the new generation of modeling’s most valuable players Natalia, Edita, Magdalena, Eugenia, Eva J) came flooding out of DNA.
