A cosplayer is being called ‘racist’ for her blackface Michonne from ‘The Walking Dead’ costume.

Cosplay enthusiast, Kira Markeljc is receiving international backlash after going “blackface” in order to look like Michonne from The Walking Dead. According to Buzzfeed, “Tumblr user narulein…posted her friend’s makeup test on Tumblr last weekend.” The German artist, who is known as Purple Candy Cosplay on Facebook, has been working on the outfit for a while, and when the test picture went viral, she immediately deleted it and posted the following message.

Soooo, many people said i made a “blackface” with my michonne make up test. First: i only wanted to cosplay my favourite Character of the walking dead and i wanted to do her COMPLETLY.

Second: i am definitly not a racist, what many people said i hate racists and i have to say that i am not complete german so…

Third: i deleted the pictures if some of u feeled disturbed by them. That don’t means that i give up cosplaying michonne. I will do it anyway it is my free decision.

So guys, hope now u all are satisfied and hate more (Via)

Michonne is not the only Walking Dead character she dressed up as. When asked about the controversy, Markeljc commented, “Everyone who makes something good gets haters, right. I see it as something special, my site also gets more likes,” which isn’t really helping.

Zach Galifianakis Says ‘Being a Celebrity is Sh*t’ and the way Hollywood works is gross.

Zach Galifianakis thinks the way Hollywood congratulates itself is gross. During the New York Film Festival, Galifianakis was asked where is the line between being a celebrity and an actor. He simply responded by saying, “Being a celebrity is sh*t”.

Zach Galifianakis is not someone who will say what you want to hear. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he explained that the way Hollywood and the film industry is disgusting.

“It’s confusing to me — all of this is confusing to me. They oversell it like we’re curing cancer, you know what I mean? I just think it can be gross sometimes, the way Hollywood congratulates itself all the time.”

When asked where is the line drawn between celebrity and actor Galifianakis had this to say:

“Being a celebrity is shit — it’s dumb, and I’m not interested in it, I like to be an actor, and that’s it. The blurred lines are, I think, manmade. I think celebrity is a manmade thing; it’s not innate in us. We have people telling us, ‘We should pay attention to these people,’ for all the wrong reasons, their personal lives and whatnot. … I’d rather just do my work and go home and watch Lifetime.” 

Also at the press screening, Michael Keaton felt the same way, “Anyone can be a celebrity now; this is not a big deal anymore.”

Zach Galifianakis opened up about his feelings on the new movie, ‘Birdman’ directed by Alejandro G. Inarritu. “I agree with what this movie says. I read it, and I’m like, ‘Boy, he’s taking swipes at everybody, but he’s right.’ So the truth trumps everything else,” he explained. “It’s gotten a little out of hand — there’s no culture in it. If people were writing about poets, mathematicians and all that, that would just move us forward quicker.”

Birdman, centers around Michael Keaton as Riggan Thompson, a former blockbuster A-Lister who is about to unveil a Broadway play in which he wrote, directed and stars, hoping that the risk will bring him the fame he once had. The film includes relationship problems, and personal motivations to taking on a “passion project,” creating a presence in modern day social media and interacting with the press. Birdman opens in New York and Los Angeles on October 17th.

Box Office Mojo returns after the website disappeared yesterday morning.

The movie industry website Box Office Mojo is back up just one day after the website was redirecting to parent site IMDb.com

Box Office Mojo website had been shut down, and was sending users to the box office page on the movie database website. Reps for Imdb.com have not responded to questions or comments. There also has been no official word or message on why the redirect occured.

Box Office Mojo was acquired by IMDb in 2008 and on Friday it appeared as though the website was absorbed by IMDb, which is owned by Amazon.

Rumors as to why the movie website disappeared circulated around the Internet over the weekend. But, at the time of its sale, Box Office Mojo said it would remain a standalone company. Box Office Mojo is a critical tool for movie industry executives in Hollywood who look to the site for real time box office results and comparative data. It was founded in 1999 by a three person company located in Los Angeles.

IMDb has a wide collection of data regarding movies, but it is currently lacking detailed information on box office metrics. It is not known whether IMDb plans to incorporate the Box Office Mojo data into its system. However, the layout for Box Office Mojo is set up only for an in-depth look at box office metrics, while IMDb is based for fans, audience members, and trailers.

Stephen Collins’ Sexually Assaulted His 12-Year-Old Babysister and Allegedly is Suffering from a Mental Disorder

In 2012, Faye Grant, the second wife of 7th Heaven star Stephen Collins, sent a personal email to a woman who had been allegedly molested by Collins when she was a child.

Here is what is said in the email:

Stephen is not remorseful, shows no guilt, and his shame is demonstrated as extreme self pity. He wails and cries “i’m in so much paaaaaaain!!!” I do not think he has allowed himself, or perhaps he is not capable of experiencing the pain he has cause children. [Source]

Faye Grant says that she has lived “every day with agonizing guilt” since she learned of her husband’s abuse and that she “should have done so many thing that I did not do.” She continues:

I have learned much about sociopaths the past 6 months. Stephen’s every action comes from two motivations: One: to follow his prey. Two: To cover his tracks. Nothing else exists for him. Very sad.

Gawker also reports that Collins suffered from Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Also in the email, Grant writes Collins entered therapy and sexaholics anonymous, and claims that he has been diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder. It also states Collins molested the email’s recipient and two others. “I knew Stephen was a narcissist, of course,” Grant writes. “I did not know he was a pedophile.” [Source]

Recently, Stephen Collins’ talent agency ended their relationship with the actor over the molestation scandal. The 7th Heaven actor was represented by the Agency for the Performing Arts, based in Beverly Hills. But, after the scandal his agent Jeff Witjas severed ties with Stephen Collins on Friday evening.
