Volunteer English Voice Actors Needed (Animated Student Short Film)

Job Description
A mystical, coming-of-age animated short film is seeking English-speaking voice actors for multiple character roles, plus a few small background parts. You’ll record voiced lines for an animated project with a clear character tone (soft, wise, upbeat, snappy, etc.). Paris-based talent is preferred, but remote talent with a strong at-home recording setup is welcome.

Job Responsibilities

• Record character dialogue in English with clear performance choices and consistent tone

• Take direction and deliver a few alternate reads as requested

• Provide clean, studio-quality audio (or comparable home studio quality) suitable for animation

• Meet agreed recording timelines and file delivery specs

Requirements

• English fluency with strong clarity and natural delivery

• Ability to perform one of the following voice types:

  • Young, timid woman (protagonist): soft, clear, unsure but sincere

  • Old, wise man: stubborn yet welcoming; warm and thoughtful authority

  • Confident couple (1 man, 1 woman): polished, ethereal confidence with a “perfect couple” energy

  • Smug, snappy man: uptight, annoyed, quick and sharp

  • Corporate ad-reader: upbeat, confident, commercial-style read

  • Additional background voices (short lines)

• Access to a good recording setup if recording remotely

• Demo reel, samples, or recent voiceover work ready to share

Compensation
