Job Description
Actors are needed for multiple short film projects produced as part of the 20th anniversary of the Mighty Asian Moviemaking Marathon (MAMM), hosted by the Vancouver Asian Film Festival. This exciting opportunity is open to actors looking to gain experience, build their reel, and connect with other creatives in the industry. While this is a volunteer-based project, it offers powerful networking exposure and creative collaboration with filmmakers working across various genres and themes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform in one of several short films being produced during the event

  • Participate in rehearsals, table reads, and on-set filming

  • Collaborate closely with emerging and experienced directors and crew

  • Contribute creatively to a fast-paced, festival-driven production

Requirements

  • Open to actors of all experience levels and backgrounds

  • Phil (Supporting): Male, 40–60. Polished and dignified, with a commanding presence. Suitable for roles such as a professor, judge, or official.

  • Non-union performers only

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

  • Must be available for filming in Vancouver

Compensation

  • Lead: $500/day (8 hours) + 15% agent fee

  • Supporting: $350/day (8 hours) + 15% agent fee
