Celtic Casting is excited to announce an open casting call for background artists for the feature film “Blue Moon,” directed by Richard Linklater. The film is set in 1940’s New York and will be shooting in Dublin and Wicklow in July. This historical drama revolves around the final days of Lorenz Hart, half of the songwriting team Rodgers & Hart, and is set against the backdrop of Sardi’s Restaurant on March 31, 1943, during the opening night of “Oklahoma!”
Job Responsibilities

Background Artists: Portray various characters in 1940’s New York, including patrons, restaurant staff, and theater-goers.

Wardrobe Fittings: Attend wardrobe fittings to ensure period-appropriate attire.

On-Set Behavior: Follow directions from the director and assistant directors to maintain the authenticity and atmosphere of the 1940s setting.

Punctuality: Arrive on time for all call times and be prepared for long shooting days.
Requirements

Appearance: Must be able to portray a character from the 1940s. This includes hairstyles, grooming, and overall appearance.

Flexibility: Availability to shoot in Dublin and Wicklow in July.
