An independent psychological drama short film is seeking a producer to join the development and production team in Toronto. This non-union, unpaid opportunity is ideal for a producer who wants to take an active role in shaping a film from pre-production through completion. The project features surreal, time-bending elements and has an established script, an attached First Assistant Director, and ongoing grant and crowdfunding initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with fundraising, sponsorship outreach, and crowdfunding efforts.
• Help secure and coordinate filming locations.
• Build and maintain production schedules and timelines with the assistant director.
• Assist with crew recruitment and key hiring decisions.
• Support grant applications and production logistics.
• Participate in development and planning meetings.
• Help identify production challenges and develop practical solutions.

Requirements

• Previous producing or production management experience preferred.
• Interested in being actively involved throughout development and production.
