Eclectic Full Contact Theatre is accepting video submissions for their upcoming fundraising production, the Patchwork New Play Festival, March 4-13th at the Edge Theatre in Chicago
The Patchwork New Play Festival is a celebration of new one-act plays, all based around the theme of resilience. Nine plays will be presented, six plays per night, in a round-robin format. There will be three groups of three plays which rotate each night.
Rehearsals will be scheduled and run by each show’s director based on their cast availability. Tech is the week of February 28th, with each group of three plays having one night of tech prior to the opening night performance on March 4th. Each group of plays will perform twice each weekend.
As we are casting for a wide array of plays, we are looking for a wide and diverse group of actors. Actors of all ethnicities, gender identities, and body types are strongly encouraged to submit their audition.
And for everyone’s safety and peace of mind, you MUST BE VACCINATED to submit for this project. Please send a video audition of two short (60 seconds or less) contrasting monologues, a headshot, resumé, and a picture of your proof of vaccination, to [email protected]. Please put “Patchwork Audition” in the subject line.
