Job Description: The Atlanta Film Society is seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Senior Manager to join our team. This position involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization and ensuring the smooth execution of events and programs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the operational aspects of the Atlanta Film Society’s year-round programs and the annual Atlanta Film Festival.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless event planning and execution.
- Oversee logistics, including venue management, equipment, and scheduling.
- Manage budgets and financial planning for operations and events.
- Supervise and support staff, volunteers, and interns to ensure high performance and engagement.
- Handle any operational issues that arise, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Liaise with external partners, vendors, and stakeholders to build and maintain strong relationships.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably within the film or entertainment industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with budget management and financial planning.
- Proficient in using relevant software and tools for operations management.
- Passion for film and the arts is a plus.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
