Casting Call: Makeup Artist
Job Detail: We are seeking a talented and experienced Makeup Artist to join our team for a paid opportunity in Brooklyn, NY. As a Makeup Artist, you will be responsible for enhancing the natural beauty of our model for a photo shoot, working from 2 pm to 5 pm on the specified date.
Job Responsibilities:
- Consult with the client and photographer to understand the desired look for the photo shoot.
- Prepare the model’s skin by cleansing and moisturizing to create a smooth canvas.
- Apply makeup products to achieve the desired look, including foundation, concealer, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, blush, lipstick, and more.
- Select and use appropriate brushes, sponges, and other tools for makeup application.
- Ensure the makeup is long-lasting and suitable for the camera and lighting conditions.
- Make any necessary touch-ups during the photo shoot to maintain the model’s appearance.
- Collaborate with hairstylists and wardrobe stylists to ensure a cohesive overall look.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including cleaning and sanitizing makeup tools and products.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest makeup trends and techniques.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Makeup Artist, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
- Knowledge of different makeup styles and techniques, including natural, glamour, and special effects makeup.
- Familiarity with various makeup products and brands.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in makeup application.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients and the creative team.
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints and adapt to changing requirements.
- Must have your own makeup kit and tools.
- Knowledge of makeup safety and hygiene practices.
- A passion for makeup artistry and a commitment to staying current in the field.
- Must be located in or near Brooklyn, NY, and available to work on the specified date and time.
