Kids Acting Coach/Teacher

Job Description

A children’s performing arts school in Gowanus, Brooklyn, is hiring a kids acting coach and teacher to lead private lessons, high school audition coaching, and weekly children’s classes. The role also includes opportunities to substitute for classes at the school’s children’s dance theater. This position is ideal for an experienced acting educator who enjoys helping young performers develop confidence, creativity, and audition skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Teach private acting lessons for children and teens.
• Lead weekly kids acting classes.
• Provide high school audition coaching and preparation.
• Help young performers develop acting, performance, and audition skills.
• Substitute for children’s performing arts classes when needed.
• Create a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
• Coordinate teaching availability with students and the school.

Requirements

• Experience teaching or coaching acting for children and teens.
• Strong acting, communication, and instructional skills.
• Comfortable providing individual and group instruction.
• Ability to prepare students for high school auditions.
• Must have weekday evening and/or weekend availability.
• Must be able to work in Brooklyn, New York.

Compensation

• $40–$65 per hour.
