Job Description

Carly Granovsky Casting is seeking women ages 27–35 with lived experience of breast cancer for a non-union Cancer Awareness PSA filming in Toronto, Ontario. The production is looking for women who are currently undergoing treatment or have recently completed treatment and are comfortable sharing aspects of their personal journey for the project. Selected talent will participate in the PSA filming on August 13, 2026. Applicants should submit a recent photo along with a few words about their breast cancer journey for casting consideration.

Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in filming for a Cancer Awareness PSA
  • Share authentic lived experience relevant to the project’s message
  • Work professionally with the production and creative teams
  • Follow on-set direction during filming

Requirements

Casting Wheelchair User and Indigenous Individual for PSA Campaign

Job Description
A public service announcement campaign is seeking two featured roles to represent real stories with authenticity and impact. The project will film in Toronto and aims to cast individuals who embody the character of a teacher and a leader, highlighting inclusivity and diverse representation. This is a great opportunity to be featured in a meaningful, nationally seen campaign.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray the role of a teacher or leader in a scripted PSA campaign

  • Participate in casting recall, wardrobe fitting, and scheduled shoot days

  • Deliver lines naturally and authentically on camera

  • Engage in direction from production during all stages of filming

Requirements

  • Wheelchair User: Any gender, age 25–45, to play the role of a teacher

  • Indigenous Individual: Any gender, age 30–60, to play the role of a leader

  • Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident

  • Available for recall (Zoom for wheelchair users), wardrobe fitting, and shoot dates

  • Non-union performers are welcome

Compensation

  • Approx. $3,500 per person based on edit inclusion and usage

  • ACTRA commercial campaign

  • Usage includes all lifts and broadcast coverage

  • Some roles may require multiple shoot days
