Featured Roles – Theatrical Live Stream Production (SAG Micro-Budget)

Job Description
A bold new theatrical production is casting diverse female-identifying actors for a SAG micro-budget live stream performance centered on domestic violence, media sensationalism, and America’s obsession with true crime. “Final Resting Place” is a gripping series of monologues and satirical vignettes spotlighting the lives of women entangled in the legacy of a serial killer.

Through haunting confessions, dark comedy, and piercing commentary, this play gives voice to the overlooked victims, survivors, and family members left behind. The project will culminate in a live-streamed event following limited rehearsals and includes a moderated talk-back with the audience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver emotionally intense and character-driven monologues

  • Engage in limited rehearsals, one camera rehearsal, and a live studio recording

  • Support other performances in a Greek chorus ensemble

  • Contribute to the thematic tone and narrative through expressive physicality and vocal delivery

An original musical inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s classic story is now casting talented vocal performers for a staged reading. This workshop-style production aims to bring a powerful and emotionally rich adaptation to life, featuring a score in the style of iconic musicals like Les Misérables and Sweeney Todd. This is a great opportunity for performers looking to expand their musical theater resume with a unique and artistically fulfilling project.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform in a staged musical reading based on a literary adaptation

  • Rehearse approximately 20 hours over several weekday evenings

  • Collaborate with the creative team to bring ensemble and lead roles to life

  • Attend and perform in a final staged reading event

  • Take creative direction during musical and dramatic rehearsal sessions

Requirements

  • All voice types are welcome; especially seeking mezzo-sopranos

  • Strong vocal performance skills and ability to harmonize in a group setting

  • Availability for evening rehearsals after Labor Day

  • Prior experience in musical theater or vocal ensemble preferred

  • Ability to travel to rehearsals and performance in Freeport
