The Fire Island Theater Festival 2026 is casting an actor for the staged reading of “Thursdays Come at Morning,” presented at The Ice Palace in Cherry Grove, New York. The production is seeking an actor to portray Sam, a gay Hapa (Asian/White) man in his 60s who is warm and cheerful while navigating heartbreak and grief. The story follows two Asian American men in their 60s who meet unexpectedly at a Honolulu cemetery and connect through their experiences with caregiving, love, and loss.
