Casting Call: Artist in Residence
Job Description: We are excited to announce our 2024 Artist in Residence program, offering three talented individuals the opportunity to participate in 3-month residencies, starting in March, June, and September, respectively. This program is designed for both emerging and experienced printmakers who are looking to develop their portfolios, conduct research, experiment in printmaking disciplines, produce a significant body of work, and immerse themselves in a vibrant artistic community.
Job Responsibilities:
- Engage actively in the creation and development of a new or existing body of work in printmaking.
- Participate in community events, including open studios, workshops, or exhibitions.
- Collaborate with and provide mentorship to other artists and community members.
- Share insights and processes with the studio community through talks or demonstrations.
- Maintain a consistent presence in the studio to maximize the benefits of the residency.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in printmaking or a related visual arts discipline.
- A clear artistic vision and goals for the residency period.
- Willingness to engage with the studio community and participate in collaborative activities.
- Ability to commit to the full 3-month residency term.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in teaching or conducting workshops.
- A track record of exhibitions or published works.
