TooFab, a leading entertainment news website, is looking to hire a Photo Associate Producer to edit, create and publish photo galleries on the Toofab.com website. This position works closely with the editorial team in managing photo content and organizing photo galleries on the highly trafficked site. The Photo Associate Producer should have strong knowledge of social media platforms and excellent photo editing skills. The ideal candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced news environment and have a passion for pop culture and entertainment news. This position is located in Playa Vista, CA and title is based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Create new topical gallery assets for news stories
- Create gallery content using photos from agencies and social media sites
- Create new photo galleries and regularly update existing ones
- Pitch articles, photo galleries, and fun photo ideas to site Managers
- Write copy for photo galleries
- Negotiate deals with photo agencies for photo use and keep track of the weekly budget
- Report daily and monthly cost sheets to accounting dept.
Requirements:
- Proficient with Adobe Photoshop
- Ability to cut together photos for composites, award show banners, etc.
- Ability to work weekends and after hours, as needed
- Ability to take editorial direction and function as part of a news team
