Ascension is seeking a remote Sr. Media Specialist – Video Production to join the team.
What You Will Do:
The Sr. Media Specialist – Video Production produces and manages high-quality video projects to support Ascension System and Marketing & Communications (MarCom) efforts. Videos include internal and externally-facing content, ranging from leadership messages, program-specific stories, testimonials from patients, providers and associates, news-style programming, media VNRs, educational videos, special events highlights, and/or other content to support Ascension initiatives, programs, and events.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with video production team, Ascension MarCom colleagues and internal/external partners to capture assets for use in ongoing video storytelling
- Strong emphasis on production, field producing and script development – gathering compelling content through interviews and video shoots on location, at events and virtually
- Leads video projects from pre-production through post-production to create visually appealing and Ascension brand-aligned video content to achieve Ascension strategic goals
- Provides production leadership on site during video shoots and represents Ascension MarCom shared services team in various locations throughout the Ministry
- Collaborates and provides guidance to Ascension stakeholders including leadership, MarCom colleagues and video production partners by advising on all aspects of production and project planning (including pre-production logistics, onsite needs, post-production elements, etc.)
- Builds relationships with colleagues and collaborators as trusted video production partners
- Actively manages key video projects from initial project development (scope of work, estimate, approval, planning and execution) to delivery of finished projects and archiving.
- Collaborates with Ascension teams to assess new project requests, track existing or planned video projects and connect, share and maximize effectiveness and reach of video content
- Manages video production processes and tools to guide day-to-day video production workflow and resources including project tracking, b-roll and archival footage, music subscription, content sharing and management
- Other duties as assigned

What You Will Need:
Education:
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree required.
Work Experience:
- 1 year of experience required.
- 4 years of experience preferred.
- 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
Additional Preferences:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Level Degree (in communications, video production, journalism, or related field) required.
Work Experience:
- Five years minimum of video production experience (news, agency, or corporate)
- Three to five years of experience in corporate communications
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Proficiency with technology including Google Suite, Smartsheet, Dropbox, and other video file sharing tools; Experience with production equipment/software preferred (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, FinalCut Pro and/or Avid)
