Graphics Production Designer

Responsible for creating layouts for client approval, preparing files for print production, Printer operation and coordinating with internal departments.

REQUIREMENTS:

·      Minimum 1-2 years’ experience required in Design/Graphics

·      Minimum 1-2 years’ experience  with RIP software

·      Sign shop experience would be an asset

·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·      Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

·      Solution focused approach and resourceful

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

·      Create proofs and prepare files for printing

·      Work with account managers or clients directly

·      Large format printer operation, loading/ unload material and maintenance

·      Performs other duties as assigned and deemed necessary of the position under the direction of Design Manager and/or Director of Creative Services

·      Assist with sign production/finishing & installation as required

·      Some overtime and weekends as required

·      Other duties as assigned

A passionate production team is seeking an experienced gaffer to join an upcoming independent short film, designed for submission to top-tier festivals including Sundance. This project requires a lighting expert with a strong understanding of narrative storytelling and the technical know-how to enhance cinematic visuals. The film will shoot across multiple seasons and span approximately 10–12 days total, with each segment lasting several days.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead all lighting design and setup for each shoot day

  • Collaborate closely with the director and cinematographer to achieve the visual tone

  • Maintain safety and professionalism on set

  • Ensure lighting continuity and flexibility across different seasonal scenes

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in gaffing for narrative film

  • Must provide a current resume and reel

  • Must include a clear day rate or project rate quote for budgeting purposes

  • Excellent communication and set etiquette

Compensation

  • Paid position, based on experience and rate provided
