Responsibilities
Our client’s creative model is based on assembling the right team for the right client or project: one size fits one. Ultimate creative direction and responsibility remains within the agency, while appropriate internal or freelance teams are put together as needed for each account. Small and nimble as an agency model, with access to a world of hand-selected creative support. It’s an exciting model that’s worked for 12+ years.
Creative Director responsibilities would include
- Select and manage internal and freelance creative groups for agency projects: designers/art directors, copywriters, production and agency partners
- Partner with account and strategic leaders to identify creative objectives and strategies; help create and provide input on creative briefs
- Launch and understand the design/copy elements of projects, inspire other creatives to deliver
- Provide direction and concept guidance on all creative work produced by your teams
- Keep all creative work on strategy, on time and on budget
- Present creative executions directly to clients, usually at a C-suite level
- Incorporate feedback and changes from clients and account service with a positive, solution-driven attitude
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously, always practicing effective communication with team members and managers
- Promote and facilitate a culture of collaboration between agency and clients
- Lead any creative execution for new business as well as help pitch new business
Requirements
- Prefer 3-4 years of experience managing and leading creative teams
- Adept in a wide range of creative disciplines, with expert design skills and experience
- Experience in photography/video/digital arenas
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Strong strategic, creative and critical thinking skills
- 6-8+ years of experience in advertising/marketing, ideally with a broad range of clients
- Great presenter with ability to “sell” creative concepts
- Strong ability to grow client relationships.
